Not interested to install one on this beauty tho, maybe I would uninstall later if R* ever fixed this car. TheBricktop Posted December 28, 2018 Share Posted December 28, 2018 (edited) just don't go full throttle like you're used to this thing is *really* fast and doesn't have very good brakes, so you can vastly reduce crashes just by focusing more it actually takes curbs better than some non advanced flags cars, it's the hidden bumps and height changes scattered around the city that make it jump around my issue is with gears... Still, I bought one and did my spec on it, no performance upgrades besides the spoiler and the third suspension setting(I don't lower my cars all the down, only my dedicated race cars). But I must say, this thing drives like ABSOLUTE CRAPP! it jump and bounces on even the slightest hint of a bump on the road, city slicking with it is an absolute pain in the ass. Better drive this thing slowly or not drive it at all. Several people here have said the same thing but it boils down to broughy, nodo and the rest of us just haven't been able to tame the car and git gud I tried the route that was posted in a video earlier in the thread, had no problem going same speed and probably faster without crashing, does that change the fact that the car is terrible to drive? Also for the guy that brought up broughty and nodo I don't race so I really don't give a f*ck about their opinion. All I know is i can drive it for 5 to 7 minutes before crashing and most times it ain't even my fault is ai drivers and cops being dicks. Like I said there's a learning curve about this car. I took it round my custom Stunt Track which I use for testing all cars, and it handles so badly that it came worst out of the three cars I tested. Pariah - Best Lap 1.49.779 Vagner - Best Lap 1.48.116 GTO - Best Lap 1.52.282 I just couldn't get it to settle down enough to absolutely floor it around the circuit. I can understand the frustration of the organised racing crews out there but regular races with randoms are chaotic enough to a point where performance doesn't matter as much. And as others have mentioned is all about taming this beast. Yesterday I drove somewhere around 11-12 minutes without crashing (spun out once at the end tho), does that mean I tamed the car? I think most people complaining can drive 5-10+ minutes without crashing but no matter how much you've "learned" to drive the car, you will have a really hard time getting good lap times around a track.. With such a small time frame you are, at best, learning how to handle the car in a singular track. You have to take it off-road, you have to take it to the freeway, you have to take it to a stunt track, you have to take it to a multitude of city and countryside tracks, you have to take it to a track in the back roads of Vinewood Hills, but most importantly: You have to evade other players with it. Only after all of that, you can truly say you learned and tamed the car, driving it for 10 minutes is just enough to learn of the car's characteristics, but definitely not tame it. It took me over a year to finally tame my Comet, but even then I'm aware of the limitations of the car and I know that it's not race-worthy(it lacks power in a straight line). Well I seem to have discussions with everyone else in this thread just fine so you tell me. But it seems when anyone has an opinion about this car that isn't straight up bashing it you get salty. Look, nobody is saying "git gud" we're saying the car takes more effort to control, more than it should duh, but it's not undriveable. I find it hard to believe how someone who always ends his posts with a condescending emoji has the nerve to act like we're the ones being arrogant. I can understand why people are mad about this car but it's not undriveable... What else do you need me to say?
