Itali GTO Discussion Thread

Very beautiful car. Very fast. Nice mods. Shocking handling over bumps but, to be expected. I'm pretty sure this thing reaches speeds of 160mph in the city but, you can forget about controlling it at that point. I'm guessing the reason for the all the racing liveries and mods is this seems to be entirely based of the Mansory 812 build. In terms of using it for actual racing, I can't see many applications. Stunt races are probably the worst. Trying to take this through tubes at top speed will make you hate yourself and the car. Still I bought 2, can't resist something that has this much work and different builds put into it. That engine model.

Very classy Id say. The real beauty of trim color options is how different everybodys car looks. :)

This car is truly beautiful. Really rough on the bumps, but it stays true to the name of the car it's based on; it's super fast.

I mean... the suspension is bad but... is the car really that bad to be the worst thing youve ever driven? 😂 I wouldnt dare race it ofc but outside of that?

My Grotti fetish got the better of me and I gave in and bought it. Well, it's fast for sure. But with all that extremely annoying bouncing it does, I don't really see any point in it being that fast anyway. It's pretty much undrivable. I've only driven it in free roam so far but I'm a very competent racer/driver and also a speed junkie. This thing is definitely a nightmare to handle, unless you aim to be a Sunday driver with it and stop at all the red lights.

I'd say buy it for the looks if you've got lots and lots of money to spend, but don't buy a shark card to get this car. I'd be seriously pissed if I paid real money for a car with these handling stats.

It is the WORST vehicle I've driven, it's horrible in races, and outside of races. I drove from the Maze Bank to LSC and on my way the car bounced on the road and flew up and into the side of a building. It's completely unstable.

Aight, I must be doing something wrong (or right) because the car is difficult to drive at high speeds because of its bouncing, but to rule it undriveable is a heavy exaggeration. I'm not trying to say the car doesn't have issues or that you guys are bad drivers, but I'm not a light driver. I may sunday cruise a lot but I know how to get around at high paces and test cars, GTA IV, Forza etc. And the car just feels like a bouncier Bestia with more grip and power. The ass bounces around over uneven pavement but the car doesnt go spinning? At least that hasnt happen to me yet. Worst I experienced was speeding away and trying to straighten the car out while flooring it and it's rear was just loose as hell.

With a lot of control, it can be controlled. So it is driveable at least outside of races. I do not doubt that its horrible in races.

All of that said, I think its a fact that this thing would be much better without flags. Its a shame because this thing is next to perfect but they had to screw up some how. :/

Undrivable? No. Difficult to drive? Yes.

Shockingly, you can’t go full throttle everywhere. It just requires a bit of finesse to figure the handling out and get it right.

Short video from Tinsel Towers to LSIA LSC I made for reference -

It is actually great in races (at least around cutting coroners), but seems like a lot of people are having trouble taming it. I can't take it around as fast as I'd like to but I still managed a faster lap than the Pariah, I figure I can manage around a second faster than my current fastest lap with it after I drive it some more and get used to it.

Good to hear then. I have yet to race it. It didnt really feel that bad at all when I sped through the hills so it would be odd for it to be so bad at racing, i guess its not 😂

Of course "undrivable" is something of an exaggeration in text, but still not quite so in game. There's no other car that handles as badly as it currently does. You can't come off the slightest bump, bridge or anything that's elevated an inch without its ass starting to jump uncontrollably. You can still steer the car when it does, kind of, but it's not as much "driving" it as it is (re-)directing it when it flips out. Its high top speed and bad suspension furthermore makes it jump pretty much ... all the time.

It's a very unnatural driving experience and not in a pleasant way. Maybe it can be fun to drive it like this, but I'd rather have this nice car functioning properly. As of now this car runs like something sketchy old Gary Gadget put together in his junkyard. It almost feels closer to taming a wild horse in RDR2 than it does driving a car in GTA.

Don't force me to make a list. 😂

Otherwise yeah, I completely understand your points. Very unnatural is the right word for that suspension. The way it rides over bumps reminds me of some clunker from the 70s with a broken suspension.

I get some very harsh jolting in downtown underground, and I hear the shlagen has no advanced flags correct? Can you drive it? Yeah, but a majority of cars simply wont buck you off your line like this does.

On my first drive to lsc I was actually wondering if I should just sell the car because of how bad it was handling but didn't..

Put on a spoiler and it helped a lot but still one of the worst cars to drive. Tried it on my flat airport race that I usually use to test out new cars and it felt fast but I actually had 2 seconds faster time with the Pariah, so saying it's a Pariah killer is just wrong (not saying you said that), might be better on some tracks but that could either be the track or the driver ;)

Decided to take both the Toros and the clique for a ride and none of them were nowhere close to as bad as this car. Since others don't seem to have the same bad experience I started thinking that maybe some other upgrades actually might help to make the car better to drive? I know some people don't believe it but different parts change the CoM (centre of mass) on cars and that can also be noticed on handling, it's more noticeable on some cars than others

Itali GTFO is the new king for all stunt tracks and it is not even close. No matter how good you are in Pariahs or Revolters or whatever car, nothing has a chance against this car. Almost all wrs on R* stunt tacks have been broken, some by several seconds, on first day of release with careful and slow laps. If you have someone in your lobby who knows how much he can push thsi car, you already lost when you are sitting in any other car.

The Itali gets insane boosts from the advanced flags. I watched the digital speedo in the tunnels. It "maxes" out at 180mph, I quote because it may go higher. This car is basically the offspring of the pariah and revolter on steroids. Keep in mind though that it's horrible to drive, I can't imagine many people running for this as a race option.

It's not quite that bad.. but it is a massive disappointment. It's not what you'd expect from a grotti and not good for two million dollars. But it is fast if you can wrangle it.

I'll probably still have a second as there are nice details and customisation, even though it is flawed and those fkin front wheels....👿

I've only tried a stock version, but here's my opinion anyway.

TLDR: It's a pretty vehicle but the advanced flags ruin the experience. The usual "it'll be the fastest vehicle if you can tame it" feeling, which some testing above (thanks!) has already shown.

In my experience the GTO grips so far and then some more if the road is smooth (unlike the random-snap-oversteer you get with the Raptor or even the Issi Classic), but once it starts bouncing all bets are off.

The back-end of my stock version actually hopped over a freeway barrier on one corner!

In conclusion, if the flags are tweaked (which they won't be) I'd buy one.

I get the feeling that this thread will never hear the end of "it handles like sh*t"

It doesn't handle like sh*t, the flags ruin the experience but the car handles like an absolute dream without them a.k.a. on flat roads. I believe the correct way to put is It rides like sh*t because that's exactly the problem.

Because I'm bigger on steering feel and cornering ability, I could list a plethora of cars that handle like sh*t compared to this car. I can't, however, come up with a list of cars that ride this bad though.

There's a difference.

This car is sexy in orange. Plus orange headlights.

Also i drive this thing with no issues.. Yeah the brakes aren't that good but there's a learning curve about this car. I can drive for a while and not crash into anything.

Maybe because u installed spoiler? My friend also said that it needs spoiler to make it better.
