I have to admit I never noticed the front wheel fitment issue you guys are mentioning (please dont mock me lol). Does anyone have a screenshot that shows it properly?

Night and day difference.

I want everyone on this thread to watch this video and come up again and say that the ItaliGTO with flags is fine while keeping a straight face, when knowing how much better it would be without them.

Just look at the potential being held back there, it's a 5 seconds reduction on the lap time...it's like driving a entirely different car.

Thats why I signed Broughty's petition to remove all flags, and why you should too.

On stunt track “Big Drop” which has minimal bumps to deal with, the GTO is king.

Apart from one section.

Near the end you do a loop and instead of a drop, you climb one of the steep ramps with speed boost pads up the centre of it. The GTO hits these, and the back end of the car is thrown out wildly, no matter how slow you try to drive over them.

It needs sorting.

Yep, lost two races there to this, but once I did managed to get it right, you have to hit the start of the ramp while being completely straight and slow, but even then there's a chance that it will send you flying off the track anyway because of the unpredictable nature of the flags.

Flags gotta f*cking go.

Just Brushed Aluminum, can't remember if it's the default pearl or not though.

You can see it in some of my pictures, but I have made a conscious effort on most of them to avoid it.

To be honest I can't look at the car and not see it. P*sses me off soooo much.

There are many more cars affected by this disease aswell.. esp when changing wheels.

RE-7B immediately comes to mind hahaha :p Thankfully I find the stock wheels fantastic on that one but I feel for those who don't.

And as Scottiedog123 said, there's really a lot of cars affected by this, in varying degrees

I see now that I think very differently from the majority of players. I've driven it myself around some stunt tracks and I have to say that its been a long time since I last had so much fun racing a car in this game! :D The speed on tubes is devilish and it's stupidly overpowered on Maze Bank Ascent and In The City. Very, and I mean very strong potential on other tracks too!

But what makes this car so special is that unlike the Pariah you have a tool that's just potentially overpowered. It demands a lot to be effective, punishes you for any mistakes and it's nowhere near being the most consistent racer, but if you have the skills and dedication you have an unbeatable racer for any tracks that happens to have a sizeable amount of tubes. This car will leave any competition behind when it gets in a tube, perhaps even the Revolter isn't as fast as the Itali GTO. Truly unique and crazy machine.

I'd be disappointed to see the flags go away since it would take away its absurdly high speed on the tubes and the unique challenge it poses to the driver. Curb-boosting is quite unpleasant and risky on it because of the bouncy suspension so I don't see it being overpowered anywhere else beyond stunt races, and not even on all tracks either. The handling is awesome on flat surfaces, hugs the corners well and its very stable but any bump will upset it. Which makes me wonder how the heck is that unrealistic? The streets of Los Santos is a bumpy mess on most places, is a Ferrari supposed to soak that all up while doing 100mph+ in real life too? I'd say it's not necessarily realistic but it's better than what we had until now. I'm yet to see a supercar driving down a street at over 100mph hitting curbs and potholes without either suffering heavy damage or, you guessed it, losing control completely and becoming undrivable.

The car drives better flagless since it becomes easier to handle, I'll give you that, but calling that more realistic is a stretch that I can't really comprehend. Supercars are known to have more rigid suspensions, and they aren't designed to hit their full potential on bumpy city streets and roads as far as I know. They will drive nicely and predictably on said roads at normal speeds though, at least in most cases. The Itali is exactly like that, by what I've seen with my own testings.

Tbh, I agree with most of what you said.. I just don't think the car should be catapulted into the air, or spend as much time off the ground as it does. Most of its "handling" issues are because it's not in contact with the ground enough of the time.. sometimes it's only just above the surface and not " in the air", but this means brakes and steering are also affected. I DO have some love for this car, I drive it quite a bit, but it's not right it shouldn't leave the ground the way it does. I love other aspects of it though.. the acceleration.. I drive it around, partial throttle.. and then when you squeeze.. it's wonderful. To move forward so quickly, with a great soundtrack..😁 not the silence/hum of electric.

Whenever I see that top speed challenge.. straight to the gto, and it IS a challenge, as you then have to try and wrestle this thing against all your better judgement to try and squeeze every last drop out of it.

They're styled a bit like Ferrari California wheels, really struggling with this car and the Schlagen, front wheels on this.. rear on the Schlagen. I'll bet I'm probably the first to mention the Schlagen, but the rear wheels don't quite meet the bodywork, I would like them to. But more importantly I'd like them to be wider... I didn't at first realize that the GT86 was included with the inspiration for this car, except there is a reason they are that size on the GT86. One that doesn't make sense here on the Schlagen, and there are a few others..

Wheels, wheels, WHEELS..

I'm gonna have a massive dump in the wheels section soon... air my sh*t out there👿

Agree 100%

I was pretty tentative about its handling at the start, but now I have got used to it and its demands, it is a really satisfying car to race. Big Drop, In the City, Maze Bank Ascent - this car is untouchable. But you have to know when to back off the acceleration. Once you get the hang of it, it is a laugh a minute and it leaves Pariahs eating dust. I think it is quite a friendly car to drift too, and corner with. You just have to ease up, something most of the crash kiddies can’t do. I’m not saying GTA races are anywhere realistic, but even a basic understanding of things like “slow in, fast out” on some of the 180 bends will reward you in the GTO.

As you say, its speed around those tubes in In the City is mental, you really have to watch yourself coming out of that one by the finish 😂

About it being satisfying to race, that might just be the best thing on the Itali GTO. On Maze Bank Ascent even when easing up on the throttle and not giving 100%, this car effortlessly beat my best laps with the Pariah there by about 3 seconds. It can get up to 8 seconds(!) if pushing it to my limits!

At In The City getting within 5 seconds ahead of my old record is pretty much just a matter of driving around the track. By putting consistency aside, I can push it to a 9 seconds improvement over my Pariah record.

Racing Alley definitely is a tricky one to master with this car compared to previously mentioned tracks, but also one of my favorites to try on. That track is quite a test of skill with the GTO, specially since I like to skip the ramps there and that's quite a challenge with the unreal speeds it gets on that track! It's very easy too fall off the track, miss checkpoints or spin out if not careful and the very opposite of driving a Revolter there, where any shortcut can be taken effortlessly.

That's a rewarding conduct on any car in this game actually, along with following a proper racing line, but in the GTO it becomes even more pronounced. Since you can't rely on curb-boosting and the obscene speeds came at the cost of an easy handling, putting effort into driving it is even more rewarding than it can be on normal cars.

I can't wait actually to see what the Deveste Eight will bring to supers class with its flags. By Oleg's testing it seems that it has a very promising top speed already so we actually might be looking at another class breaker for some tracks if it gets the sort of boost that the Itali GTO have. It might retire the X80, so to say :p Perhaps even the Nero Custom but I don't think it could beat the Vagner where it's best.

Not so many, tbh. I was actually trying to get a good lap on some other tracks and was doing this one here in between from time to time. Maybe a hundred hotlaps since the GTO came out, (which is a really low number of laps when trying for wr)? There are some ways to further improve the laptime, but including those will need a lot more dedication, so I went for a clean run with only the "standard" cuts. The GTO can be driven quite consistently and quick here when not going 100%, I have the 7 lap wr on pc as well, so GTO would be my standard pick also for races against others. Revolter is still more fun though.

I see then, my problem is that so far I was always trying to go at 100%. Also, I didn't made even half the laps you must have done there with it. I'll start to change that though :D

This car SLAPS. I love the 40000 advanced handling flags, please make all cars have the 40000 advanced flags.
