Well, seeing as that we're still waiting for stock versions of the Comet Retro, Streiter and Caracara, probably not.

If you can NOTICE, this is the only Arena vehicle w/ armored plate windows even though you want to make it in stock model compare to other Ready Arena vehicle that doesn't have. ( I'm talking about apocalypse section that we can make Arena vehicles in stock version ).

 

 

Man, Why o' why Rockstar didn't give as a Stock version of this. T_T'

 

We hope we got stock version of this on the filler update, I don't know if it's March.

Finally unlocked discount on Apocalypse one. Took all that stuff off, and since we can't remove wide body, went with underground/tuner style.

Too bad there is a permanent windshield plating.. but oh well, it doesn't bother me that much when playing from 3rd person view anyway. At least rear is sort of "okay" this time.

Or why some cars have their brands switched over even when it doesn't make sense (Karin Kuruma instead of Maibatsu, Declasse Mamba instead of Vapid, etc.).

 

But hey, the GP1 borders on copyright infringment with the right mods, so maybe I'm wrong, I dunno.

I played a lot of ETS2 ever since it came out(even in beta). For a long time they used unlicensed trucks without a problem. Just look:

 

Mercedes - Majestic

Volvo - Valiant

DAV for DAF and the examples can continue.

 

That's why I think there is no issue with licences or something like that. It's just R* trolling like always. Nothing special. Actually, I'm not surprised at all. I'm pretty tired of this method of work and the lack of communication.

Everybody knows that community want cars like 350z/370z, RX-7, WRX STI, Civic TYPE-R, Lancer EVO, first gen NSX, new gen GT86... and a Tuner DLC. But what they do? Hmmm... 350Z with armor plates and a Mad Max DLC?

Im glad Rockstar doesnt play me (a sedan and sports car lover) like they do Porsche and tuner lovers. Cuz if they did I'd happily snap my disc in half. This sh*t is ridiculous. I wouldve bought a stock Z even if Im not the biggest jdm fan its a great car. There had to be at least one obligatory pile of sh*t addition among gems in an unusually nice update such as this. Its as if they felt they were doing too good a job and had to screw up somewhere.

 

Also I dont believe the copyright thing for a second. Many cars in this update look very similar to their real life counterparts. There have always been additions that look remarkedly similar. That never stopped them before. And while this car does look similar to a 370z no its not something worth suing about because its still clearly different.

I’m gonna be using this mod tonight. Possibly also swap the engine sound for the FQ2’s for giggles. I just got my pc together, so I’m hyped for clean versions of these cars.

still , I love the apo ZR since we can get a clean , yet sporty version :

This works on X1 as well. I wanted black, but the grey is much better than the yellow... But if you take the car back into the mechanic shop, they go back to yellow as soon as it appears in the shop, so you have to do the process all over again.

I can't get the car to appear in my I fruit either. It won't come up in the list of last used cars. Actually that whole thing is fkin weird anyway.

I wanted to do the stock wheels gold. Can get them alloy only.

This thing drives quite nice mind. I'm pleasantly surprised.

Honestly, I barely even notice them. Only now you say it and I look at the pics. Painted a dark but popping shade like this it really looks good out on the road. I don't even really see the windscreen. Obvs in a bright colour the armoured screen will jump out.

It's got a great stance, apart from the obvious disappointments, this car has really surprised me, and I don't regret the 2.4M cost. I am actually happier with this than the GTO.

And of course.. if it had been done properly, I would want more.

 

I think it's a classic case of expectations. My expectations for the Grotti were high, and the end product was lacking. My expectations for the ZR were low and what I've ended up with is so much better than I could have imagined considering what we got.

The color you picked does a decent job concealing them, but boy I can't unsee them in the matte one Nido posted.

 

I don't like rivets, they are okay (& necessary) on planes, but not on cars.

 

I would've bought one if it wasn't for the rivets. Uh well, here's hoping they give us a clean civilian one in the future.
