Quite interesting, initially i was thinking it could be a placeholder voice or something like that but the second line said was like Jacks. I wonder why someone hasn't found anything in the files that references this voice or anything or is that not possible to check on console?

No...

If true though, I’ll pass on playing as Jack again. If it’s a remaster John won’t venture into those new areas anyway that we’ve seen from Red Dead Redemption 2.

What's with all the Jack hate?

Playing RDR2 made me develop a soft spot from that sweet little boy to the "wannabe like Daddy" gunslinger.

He's no John but remember John is no Arthur.

The hate mostly comes from RDR1. Jack in RDR2 is adorable and sweet, but a lot of people still remember being stuck with him after RDR1's ending.

(Younger RDR1 Jack was a bit of a dick too, tbf.)

Wouldn't mind playing as him again in a sequel, but it's more likely that these lines are there for the remaster/remake. If one even exists.

I think Jack's WW1 uniform would've looked more like this:

KLuxwuK.jpg

Or this:

I think Jack's expertise at riding would make him a natural for WW1 cavalry.   His intelligence, daring, and dreams could have easily steered him towards volunteering for the fledgling air force, too.

Hadn't seen it yet, but that's cool. More evidence that the glitch is real.  Now if we only knew what it meant.  My money is on a planned RDR remake DLC, but maybe that's just wishful thinking.  I gotta say, running around as John in the mostly-barren New Austin of this game has made me really want to play RDR again.

EDIT: Why do I ever read the comments on YouTube? Good lord, what a cesspool. Half a dozen guys immediately scream "FAKE" because of some weird inconsistency (yeah, because an obvious glitch is definitely going to... work perfectly? Huh?) and then it turns into another sh*tshow of people insulting each other.

I feel like the only person who unironically didn't mind Jack and after completing RDR2, I have a new appreciation for him after the events that transpire and everything leading up to when we play as Jack.

I honestly wouldn't mind seeing a RDR remake in RDR2 or a post-RDR DLC where we play as Jack or anything else involving him. I see a lot of potential there, like exploring his motivations or what he ends up doing with his life.

Usually I'd be skeptical to sh*t like this but a lot of evidence points to this being real. I doubt these are just leftover placeholder lines because if this is Jack, going to the effort to recast him for placeholder lines is odd. But hey who knows, maybe these are just placeholder lines and the person who spoke them happened to sound like Jack Marston?

Honestly I'm one who didn't mind Jack in RDR1 (obviously a step down from John but I didn't hate Jack himself).

Whereas now, after RDR2, I really really dislike the character... He reminds me of early Carl in AMC's The Walking Dead

I didn't believe it when I saw the first Reddit post the other week, as it really seemed like the audio was distorted to the point that it could have been RDR1 audio played off a separate audio source.

The recent showcases of the glitch has me convinced though. Really does sound like RDR1 Jack's voice actor but a bit older, as you'd expect after 8 years. I'd be very, very surprised if we didn't get RDR1 in the RDR2 engine now, maybe with new dialogue to change some of the timeline inconsistencies created from the new game and post-story map.

He just needs more depth I feel.

Not much nuance to his character at the moment- he is basically defined by his relation to his father, everything he does is tied to what John has done.

TBH, I'm working up a kind of fanfic sequel (not prequel) to RDR1 that follows Jack through the Roaring Twenties.   I envision grown-up Jack heading off to WWI, joining the Army Air Force and coming back to make a few $$$ as a barnstormer out in the Heartlands.  As Prohibition kicks in during the 20s, Jack realizes that outlawing is in his blood, and he starts robbing banks, John Dillinger-style, and mixing bathtub gin.  Jack's country-boy moonshining operation gets so profitable that he runs afoul of big city mafia who don't appreciate the competition.  So Blackwater Jack heads up to Chicago to take on the Sicilians who tried to bust up his stills, and he goes up against a mob boss named Bronte....who just happens to be the brother of Angelo Bronte, the St. Denis gangster who kidnapped Jack when he was only 5 years old.  As Jack's past catches up to him, his criminal record attracts the attention of the new head of the FBI, Archer Fordham.  Fordham is convinced that Jack is the outlaw who murdered former director Edgar Ross down in Mexico, but no body was ever recovered.   But Fordham is going to make sure there will be a reckoning...a Red Dead Reckoning.

It's not the Wild West, but it's a new kind of frontier with the same kind of outlaws, on both sides of the badge.  And in the end, Jack Marston may prove to be an even tougher gunfighter than his father ever was.   (coming soon to next-next gen consoles...and PCs....everywhere.   In, like, 2050 or something)

Somehow I doubt it, Jack can’t swim either, he is pretty much a copy of John with less sexappeaeal...

Can't argue with that.  John's got great charisma, which always makes him fun as hell to play.   Jack's definitely smarter than his paw, which would likely be his saving grace in a Roaring Twenties gangster setting, but unless he starts getting written as a badass, he probably wouldn't hold enough appeal to carry his own game.

You know what all this reminds me of? When the audio files leaked for the ending of GTA V before release, and everyone on here debated and tossed ideas back and forth of whether it was all real or not. Of course it ended up being very real indeed, but those conversations were some of the most exciting moments I’ve ever felt leading up to a game release.

Im not sure yet what to make of all this, but it definitely makes me excited for the possibilities.

Take into perspective that with jack being born just prior to the turn of the century he could very well have lived into the 1970’s or 80’s. Oh what changes he saw! Bet he was complaining bout civilization during watergate lol!

Answer: There was supposed to be a secret movie you could unlock after completing 100% of the story mode that showed what Jack did in between John and Abigail's death. They sold the ranch and moved to Blackwater. He also met with Sadie, They worked together as bounty hunters and she mentored him. Abigail didn't die of a broken heart but of an undetectable illness, possibly cancer. His RDR2 adult model looked a lot better than the first game since it was created from the ground up instead of reusing John. He was also supposed to move east where he was supposed to ambiguously be a public servant of some kind or an high ranked member in a gang. There were talks about a sequel that ditched the western setting for a early 20th century urban setting. Since it got removed I wouldn't get my hopes up for it.

Is that the same guy talking about bisexual arthur, pedo micah and sadie biting peepees, because that guy seemed liked an obvious fake, he flipped out every time we asked him for evidence that he worked there. If he’s already willing to break NDAs by giving us all this info, you’d think he’d at least give us something small proving that he worked there

He made it seem like R* was going to blow up his mom’s house if he just simply showed us the like a censored employee ID card or something
