today i was chasing after a legendary (i think) elk.

when i noticed another player chasing it.

i eventually managed to kill it.

after i skinned it the random started shooting at, i got out my double barrow shotgun and gave him both barrows.

 

 

after that he pressed charges against me.

Xbox One Regular, stumbled on to a way that seems to make Delivery of Moonshine/Trader load

without timing out (in fact, usually nearly instantly):

 

I've been having this problem lately, for the last couple of weeks (timing out, or taking forever on either.)

 

So yesterday, i decided to get evidence of what happens; I started the trader delivery, then went to

"capture" "record" on the Xbox after hitting the center silver button to get there (on the controller.)

I was surprised that the delivery loaded nearly instantly, with a short black screen and little or no

spinning revolver; I'm still looking at them talking, while going to "record" on the Xbox.

 

So I did two more of them, the long distance ones (blew up wagon, took goods on horse, for the dailies.)

The same thing happened. So I figured I'd try the same thing on Moonshine delivery with Marcel; started

the delivery, hit "record" when Marcel starts talking, instantly load.

 

So I thought maybe it was a fluke, so I did it again today:

 

3 trader deliveries instantly loading.

Moonshine delivery instantly loading.

 

My first Legendary Harriet hung, on a long loading screen, so I figured I'd try the same thing with that.

The next one, started the Legendary Mission with her and then as soon as she started talking did record on xbox;

her mission instantly loaded as well.

 

It looks like this (you can't see me going to "capture" "record" on the Xbox, of course.)

What it looked like doing the same thing with Harriet, starting to record after starting the mission and

she is talking about it; I've never had the Legendary Animal mission load this fast (my first try starting

it hung forever (with the spinning revolver, which I've ALWAYS had even if it eventually loads),

before I tried the same "record" thing with her.):

 

 

I stopped recording as soon as I load in, so the videos are very short.

I have no idea why this works this way, for some reason hitting "record" seems to force it to load better (prioritizing somehow, maybe?)

I'm going to try it on other things I've had trouble loading before too, like the Moonshine Story Missions/Bootlegger Missions from Maggie

(but I must sleep before work now..  )

 

Oh, and these are regular Xbox One so no SSD drive either. I've just got the stock drive/whatever it came with

and my games are on an external WD Passport 3 terabyte or something.

Something scared the moon and it just had to run away. It was probably being griefed, it is RDR after all.

I saw this too the other night. Not only was the moon going too quickly, it then went backwards for a bit before setting off at normal pace again.

I think it must be syncing with nearby player's time or something?

when i make stew at my camp, cripps keeps trying to take credit for it.

 

 

today i went to valentine to sell a deer carcass at the butcher but a random had the nerve to steal my kill in front of me.

i gunned him down with my lancaster and quickly got a parley.

I run the games largest and longest running Fight Club (1899 Fight Club) and earlier this year we made a short film (The Drunk, The Snake and The Mountain). It wasn't advertised very well but whoever it reached seemed to like it a lot. We have just released a prequel to this movie and so far its been getting the same reaction.
