Satanta
Started playig around 9PM, did soe Side Quests and Stranger Missions then headed North from St Denis to finish a Gunslinger Quest and hunt for the LKegendary Moose. Not sure how many in-game Days it was but I used several sessions to sleep and craft and try to let the Moose respawn-I saw it *once* away from where it is supposed to be but was Trotting along and just got enough of a glimpse for it to let me know it was "The Mosse", however, it left no Sign so I could not track it. I finally settled on a 3* Bull Elk cause I was getting a bit tired [[it was 5AM at that point-Wolves managed to turn it into a 2* hide while I was trvelling in "Auto Mode". Went from there to capture someone for a "Shocking Ending" he will be dealing with later and went back to St Denis so, one bigassed circle up the Coast, into the Mountains then coming some weird round-about route West of Rhodes and headed back into St. Denis then a second Route coming in from the North thru the swamps on the Boardwalk Trail From the moment I got to the hunt site to the moment I dropped off the Bounty it stormed-I was wondering if the game was in Hurricane Mode and why it was not flooding. Seriously. 6 Solid Meatworld hours of Storming. Bad Azz
Bad Azz
It simply rains too much in this game in the first place. Especially online. With the amount of precipitations New Austin receive, it should be a tropical jungle and as muddy as Valentine. Lol. Trust me Deserts and High Plains do *not* have Thunderstorms every day. Florida does-just like Clockwork and when you ride a Motorcycle you prep for it as best as possible. I like the storms in the new game-thought they were too shoort, especially like the Lightning since I chase storms and phot them in Meatworld but geez, 6 hours of Hurricane weather was a bit much yesterday- six hours in life, no idea how many days passed in the game, I think someone said it was 12 minutes to the hours and by my miscalculations it comes out to over 700 game days but I totally blow at Math. lol josephene123 and Bad Azz
BretMaverick777
I agree that rain and t-storms should be much more of a rarity for New Austin. Maybe cut back on the rain in the plains, too. But it's perfect for the Bayou and Roanoke Ridge. Roanoke Ridge feels so much like (real) home -- here in the Great Smoky Mountains of Appalachia -- that it's scary. coach_wargo
Had you completed the side mission with the scientist up there? It's scripted to take place during a storm and will rain every time you head that way until you complete the mission.

Did it after getting tired of hunting the Moose. Went back two Meatworld daus later and got the Moose and it still raine4d non-stop. coach_wargo
coach_wargo
That sucks. It got better for me once I completed that mission with the lightning.
Satanta
There is also another Mission in 5that general area you do for the Lectric Chair guy-it went bright and Sunny when I completed that so I figured it was tied to one or both, however, since then except when I am in town it has basically stormed on me since. Barry Spock
It's a bug I'm pretty sure. The weather gets stuck. I had that too, a couple of times. Put up with it for three in-game days but it nulls a lot of wildlife spawns. Went to Armadillo, still raining. Saved and reloaded - rain gone. phipfwe76
Seems like it got a lot worse with patch 1.03. I was in New Austin the other day, and it stormed for 48 straight in-game hours. Was in Roanoke Ridge & Saint Denis last night, and it went for about 20 in game hours. It's making bird hunting very difficult, as they don't seem to fly much in the rain.
