IS the law gonna do anything about player killing yet?

I'm getting gunned down for no reason in towns.

The law doesn't care if a player gets attacked by another player at all it seems.

Deputize some friends & protect your town. Just last night I was doing my best to keep Valentine safe. Lots of malcontents out there. 😉

Yeah but the lawmen care if I kill an NPC they should care about PVP too.

They do. But uts supereasy to escape and if they kill you nothing happens.

We got a great system in sp and a worse system then 5 year old gta in online...but were still in beta. If they just add passivemode i will be so disappointed..

The worst most useless asshats are the ones that gun down every peaceable hunter with a horseload of perfect pelts, throwing away good ammo on stupid idiotic mayhem.

We are criminals that broke outta prison state penitentiary. I don't think they care if there's one less prisoner to worry about or watch out for.

Bounties won't do sh*t.

We need passive mode or invite only lobbies. Or both.

I'd quite like to be able to spawn into a session and not immediately get killed because of sh*t spawns.

I'd also prefer if people didn't camp next to butchers, waiting for me to finish selling so they can kill me, as there's a brief moment when you exit where you can't do anything.

At least they were polite enough to let you sell.

Most of the sociopath kiddies kill you as you're getting off your horse right at the butcher.

Why? You kill someone, you get a bounty. If you get killed by another player, you pay him the bounty. You can also pay your bounty at post office and you only pay 50%. Or you run away for lobg enough and dont pay anything.

Obviously a kill shouldnt add 20$ like in sp,more like 1-2 $.

I want this to be pvp,but there have to be consequences for being an asshole. Passive or pve is just lame imo.

the single player bounty system would work.

You have bounties in certain territories until you pay it off.

And these bounties are permanent even if you switch servers

You already lose money too if the law kills you even. If people were constantly chased by lawmen like in singleplayer and they lose money per death they'd stop killing players for no reason.

My point is, bounties won't stop griefers from griefing.

Ask yourself, does it stop griefers in GTA?

Stick a 1k bounty on me. I'm still gonna spawn trap you with my Lazer.

I'd like to be able to play Online without watching my back every 2 mins.

Passive is justified.

It shouldnt work like in gta, more like it works in sp.

Gta bountys would be a nice lil addition though, but you cant call that a bountysystem.

Why not let other players do the bountyhunters job? Region shouldnt matter though, just creates stupid situations. If you get a bounty it should be across all states.

If players had something to gain from keeping the peace then lawful ones would have reason to posse up and fight the troublemakers. Not a bounty that only one player could get, but like a weekly payment for services rendered keeping areas safe, defending butcher spots, etc. Idk how it would work exactly but anything that would compensate players for opposing disruptive players.

Not only that, but it makes sense that some of us might be hardened criminals who only want to make mischief. The wild gangs that are running around killing for sport sorta fit the narrative.

That's pretty good idea.

You'd go into the sheriff's office and grab one of the bounty posters like you do in SP, except this time there's the name of another player on the poster. Perhaps an option could be added to the Report section, where if you get reported, say, five times, the law places a bounty on your head. The more you get reported, the bigger the bounty gets.

That way players who take it upon themselves to rid the world of asshats (power and glory to you, you unsung motherfunking heroes!) can go and hunt a bastard down.

Maybe it would be handy to highlight the bounty on the map. Humans tend to not sit still like NPCs programmed to get caught.

Ofcourse, I can see this being abused too. Rack up a bounty, get your buddy to shoot you and claim the bounty. Take turns doing that and you could get rich fast, so this has me thinking Rockstar won't be too keen on implementing a feature like it.

Player that has a bounty on his head pays the player that kills him,no boosting possible.

No need for bountyposters, just give them another colour on the map and let everyone hunt them.

I think instead of a dot a larger circle like in some sp missions would be better,so you can at least try to hide. But thats something i want for everybody anyway...

yeah, that is more effective. But it would be kinda cool to grab a poster off the wall.

Its kinda funny when you think about it. The law must really not like Arthur Morgan. People massacred in the streets of rdo, cops don't bat an eye. Arthur bumps into someone or follows a cop for too long, gets killed 🤣.

Buy a shotgun and embrace the Impotent Rage. Some D-bag was camping near the butcher, hoping to get a few lucky shots. He opened fire in the middle get-off-the-horse animation, while I had a load of pelts. I got my shotgun out and gave him the lead sandwich in his face. For good measure I killed his horse too.

Rockstar is not going to do anything about it. Griefing is part of the business model. "Be a d*ck and get away with it, the online game."

Criminals who were "framed" apparently for something they never done and got sentenced for it as its mentioned in the online story.

Would like to see something like this though, heck maybe even have a little system that pays the player MORE if they're brought into town and thrown into the cell while they're all lasso'd up. Players playing a lawmen role would have some kind of perk against those most wanteds on lassos that make it harder to break. And the player stays inside that cell for 3 minutes or so.

Players or friends can break them out, the player can bribe with gold or cash, or wait the time inside jail.

Hopefully not. After GTA V's cops - I'm glad to not have them on your back if you so much as look at someone the wrong way.

I wouldn't mind actual players getting rewarded as bounty hunters though. Could have requirements to be able to hunt bounties too. Say you kill innocent players, then you can't bounty hunt in that session. Shape a type of player who'll keep griefers busy.

Just wait until they tune up the lawmen to come after players during PVP in towns.

Isn't that kind of confusing when on the map you would just look like another bunch of griefers holding a town hostage?

I never shoot first and usually whistle or wave, unarmed. Sometimes folks are friendly and go about their way, other times it's total chaos. If it's too bad I give up and go hunting or exploring lol. Fun times either way.

I can't agree with th8s. Ok, they don't have to make them like Terminators but towns and cities need active law enforcement because having players just killing everyone around is so immersion breaking. They turn towns into huge shootout area and it never ends which doesn't work well for other players who need access to a nearby t9wn for business or pleasure.  Outside of populated area game can do without law but in populated areas there has to be law present and consequences each players must face if he breakes the law. At least for capital crimes such as murder.
