I see very few Arabians (I stay away from Racing so I dunno) so it does seem that people go for coats for looks. I see alot of people riding the new Horse coats just after an Update but they always quickly go back to what they like. I don't see alot of people riding the Dalmatian skin one, I thought that would be more popular. Archangelsky
I have plenty of dollars and gold and since I could afford I have always had my stable slots filled up. I do change some horses around and try to keep only two coats of one breed in the stable at the same time. Its ok in one way to shuffle between them but I would hope we would have gotten some more stable slots soon. I always try to keep at least one or two new level one horse in my stable that I start using on more quiet days of playing. Just got rid of one of my mustangs and the next one to go is either my shire or my breton. My favorite is my Nordfolk Roadster, the brown and white one. So far I have only gotten horses that are purchased with dollars so that is why I shuffle since I have enough money, if I would have puchased some of the gold ones I would keep them much longer I guess. Well at least this keeps some of my cash going out in the game, not much else to use it on anyway. Direwrath

My daughter has the little blanket appaloosa and she loves her, I had the varnish roan one and that horse was amazing. Sure they're small but those appy's are actually pretty decent horses and pretty as well. 15 hours ago, Archangelsky said: So far I have only gotten horses that are purchased with dollars so that is why I shuffle since I have enough money, if I would have puchased some of the gold ones I would keep them much longer I guess. I have that problem right now. Most of my horses were purchased with gold so I am hard pressed to get rid of them, and the ones that were purchased with cash I'm pretty keen on keeping. We just need more stalls.

There are two of the Appy horses online that have a dalmation spotted coat. This is the varnish roan coat, and this horse is pretty amazing if you aren't worried about the small stature. When I had mine she would literally stand still in the middle of a gun fight, wolves could surround her legs and she wouldn't even make a fuss, and she never threw me for a cougar or a bear. Even when the cougar was coming in right behind us, which is a feat because we all know that typically even the calmest horses tend to throw a rider in that situation. There is no other horse I've ever had (and I swap through them because I want to ride them all) that I can say that for. and I think you are talking about this one, which is a gorgeous horse. I had her in one of my story playthrough's for Arthur. Too bad we cannot get these new story mode coats as well My daughter's first horse purchase ever online was this one and she still refuses to sell her. I've always been interested in both human and animal psychology and behavior and well his markings do look sort of like those tests. I really need to get a horse with a silly name, it's just odd that I haven't done that yet. What gets me is that names like that get through R* delicate nature but when I tried to name my camp dog "Hugglemuffin", and my husband tried to name one of his horses "Arya" they considered them too explicit and we couldn't continue. Unfortunately the forelock has no physics to it, so even at a full gallop it's awkwardly plastered to my horse's face. I was hoping that when R* finally added this mane they would release it in all the default shades available to us, but it looks like they'd rather drag this out as long as possible. Oh well, at least I have the mane I want on one of my horses. Direwrath

I have, they are somewhat great, there is a lot clipping issues with certain horses though. Which is odd, like the tousled mane clips with the mustang even though the mustang uses that same mane by default... I'm certain this will never get fixed, which is sad because I love those manes and have been looking forward to them being added, and then they clip with most horses. aaronBLUEeyes
How skittish are Arabians and Kladrubers around predators, do they tend to wander about or stay where you left them? Also is there a noticeable difference to the ‘superior’ handling on the Arabians? As far as the experience I had with my little red chestnut/bay one the Arabian is pretty skittish, but some players really like them. Though she never ran off unless there were alligators around. The one thing about the Arabian is that they are very good for off path riding, mine was so sure footed that we hardly ever stumbled over a fallen log or a rock like my other horses are prone to doing. The Kladruber that I have is decent around predators, it takes quite a bit for him to reach the point of desperation that he bucks me off or sprints wildly away. And as far as him running away he pretty much stays where I leave him as well, the thing with him is that I do not release his reins and allow him to just run on his own because for some reason this breed likes to veer a lot. He's like my Turkomans when there is a rock in front of them, instead he just does it without the need for a barrier to push him off track. Oh and then there is the problem with snakes, both of my daughter's tier 3 and my tier 1 Klad just do not like snakes and will put up a fuss for a mile down the road if you encounter one. aaronBLUEeyes

Have four different horses - none of them really enjoy the company of snakes .. I think the Mustang is the most brave when it comes to snakes - And the Turk is just a baby, whenever a snake is around ... A little bit odd, as the Turkoman is the most brave when it comes to wolves - has never bucked me off so far ..

Good gosh I don't know why I did not make this change sooner: On Xbox, some time ago I learned about pressing left stick to "calm horse"; it worked wonders when attacked, for the most part. NOW I finally switched from "paint it black" (which I did not seem very good at), to slow and steady as well as using Iron lung. Not only is the difference HUGE in fights with NPCS, as well as working really well in showdowns, but I've finally been using it(slow and steady, with dead eye) on my horse when four wolves attack. The horse protests, but never bucks me - the only issue is that the horse is also stepping on the wolves while I shoot them, so they get more damaged and are only "perfect" if I nail them from a distance. aaronBLUEeyes
Yeah, spamming left Thumbstick is a must — but I’ve always done that and some breeds are just chickens. Even with that method, my Thouroughbread will buck me near instantaneously. I’ve heard from PvPCat in one of his videos about slow and steady trick, which is great if it’s equipped. Direwrath
Trinkets got a new style, looking quite wild with those crazy forelock bangs. I love this horse, she has the same kind of attitude problem my gunslinger has. Even when she's just standing there her ears are back and her eyes are white ringed, it's like she's just begging for someone to mess with her. At first I wasn't going to buy him because I have so many Turks already, even sold one to replace her with a Fox Trotter but I haven't spent any real loot in this game for some time so I splurged. His name is Blitzkrieg, I named him after the reward you get after killing my man Heisenberg while in boss form in the new Resident Evil Village game. And I dunno, I've always kind of thought that word sounded cool. I dressed him up in the most studded out, buckle ridden saddle I could because I wanted him and Ruvik to match..
