Welcome to the Commonwealth of New Sylvania in the 1970's-a groovy era where everyone is trying to have a good time with music, drugs, and every other vice the nightlife can offer.

You may think that life in small town, USA is nothing but quiet, peace and harmony, but this story will draw you into the darker side of New Sylvania - greed, corruption, temptation, and blood. Told through the eyes of Brooke-Meyer native Virgil Assante, a young and ambitious mobster with aspirations of reaching new heights with northeastern New Sylvania's Manganelli Crime Family.

The 1970's was a transitional time period for politics, crime, fashion and so on. Now with the economy fluctuating as the end of the Vietnam war is nigh and the beginning of federal coups in Central America are advancing, it is the best time to take advantage. Make your money and live larger than life as a mobster. Enjoy it now, all good times must end at some point.

But be careful who you cross... one wrong move and it's lights out for you.

The Protagonist

Virgil Assante (born Virgilio Alberto Assante) also known as Virgil Right Hook (Born June 9th, 1944) was an American gangster and member of the Manganelli Crime Family who is believed to be one of the organizers of the 1975 Pendlebury Train Heist, at the time, the most lucrative cash theft in New Sylvania history, and also believed to have committed multiple murders under orders of the Mafia.

Paul Keitel: Virgil's childhood best friend, as well as, Partner-in-Crime. He is the Ying to Virgil's Yang. The pair is inseparable and together, they are both immovable and unstoppable forces. During Virgil's service in Vietnam from '67 to '71, Paul relocated to Shreveport, Ohio to work for The Jewish Mob as an Enforcer and Overseer of transactions. As of Spring of '71, he has moved back to his hometown of Brooke-Meyer working for the northeastern New Sylvania faction of The Jewish Mob.

Mario Polisi: Another one of Virgil's best friend and a distant cousin. Mario is actually from Alderney and moved to Brooke-Meyer at age 14. Virgil was his first friend. He becomes a Personal Driver for the Manganelli Family in the late-60's. Mario still has a slight Alderney accent that comes out when he is angry, which is often. He is very temperamental and that has gotten him in trouble numerous times in his teenage years, even well into his adult life.

Phil Costigan: The youngest of the group. Phil started hanging around Virgil and Paul at age 9. He was always a rebellious child, always looking for a fight, and never backing down from a confrontation. At some point during Virgil's tour in Vietnam, he joined the Arborton faction of Pendencia's Irish Mob working under his Uncle.

Pete Zimmerman: At first sight, you may think of him as an American Nazi with his tattoo's and vast collection of weapons and explosives. But he is a reliable source for criminal's preparing for a job or hiding a stash. Living in his Grandmother's home in Palance, he is unpredicatable but very rarely does he leave the house.

Ruben Nebish: Real name, Ruben Nebyzska, the head of the Shreveport Jewish Mob. In his 30+ years as a Mobster, he has never spent a day behind bars. He has managed to operate at a huge level below the radar of the authorities. He made the move to Brooke-Meyer in 1965 to expand the Jewish Mob into New Sylvania. He is Paul Keitel's main employer.

Stefani Ferlito: A blonde Shreveport Angel with eyes as blue as the Caribbean sea. She moves to Brooke-Meyer to get away from her dysfunctional family. She becomes the main love interest of Virgil Assante in 1971. She becomes his other half, his rock, and his spiritual mate. She vows to always love Virgil no matter what. But, she is also as crazy as Virgil at times.

Nancy McCarthy: Stefani's best friend since their teenage years. A rather energetic nightlife vampire with only a taste for the fast life. Quite often, she is seen in an intoxicating state whether from alcohol or drugs and she seems to enjoy that way of life. She becomes Paul Keitel's love interest in 1971.

Adrian Ungureit: A family man who begins working for Virgil as a truck driver. A Pendencia native, he moved to Aries in 1969 with his wife and new-born child to escape his past troubles in the city. However, he was forced to work for a biker gang in 1972 as a truck driver, transporting drugs from Aries to Arborton. After a requisition by Virgil and Paul, he quickly found new employment under them.

The Northern Connection: An offspring of the Commission, the Connection is a round table of the heads of all New Sylvania Cosa Nostra families, as well as, Upstate Liberty's Monstresor. Although this council is unofficial, it is recognized by the entire Cosa Nostra network. As of 1971, the Connection is made up of:

Map still in progress

The Commonwealth of New Sylvania has many countie. Each with their own characteristics and scenery. Showing its true uniqueness to the world.

bXIUTW0.png

  • Romero - Known as The Bright City with all of its city lights shining the streets all hours of the night. The city of Romero holds a modern characteristic that the surrounding towns don't possess. It's best features is the lively Downtown area and the luxurious homes in Northside.
  • Mulberry - Best known to the locals as "Little Italy"  with its rich Italian culture from their foods to their clothing.
  • Palance - A small rural town outside of Brooke-Meyer that gives the region a taste of the countryside. With large green fields and friendly people, its a peaceful haven with secrets.

T9g2jpv.png

  • Brooke-Meyer - Although it may seem like it is the ugly sister of the neighboring city, Romero, it does have a vital feature that Romero cannot offer. And that's the beautiful Davenport River. The residential areas are considered mainly upper-middle to lower-middle class with heavy Italian, Jewish, and African-American community. Facing Kensington on the waterfront is Brooke-Meyer's most luxurious hotel, The Mallorie Hotel. Brooke-Meyer is also known as a party town.
  • Kensington - Cross the Blackwater Street Bridge from Brooke-Meyer, cross the Davenport River and you will arrive at the visually beautiful town of Kensington. Home to the Kenzie Park, one of the biggest parks in New Sylvania, and home to the most prestigious restaurant in all of Northeast New Sylvania, La Isabella Ristorante. It is considered to be one of the more better towns to live in with its low crime rate and peacefulness that spreads across from corner to corner.
  • Deer Creek - Our little neck of the woods used for exploration and hiking. Nobody lives in the Creek. However, you will find truck depots as well as some industrial warehouses no longer operational. At the center of the Creek you will find a mesmerizing waterfall where people go to just take in the sights and watch the sunset. Who knows what roams about the woods, or should I say who knows who's buried in the woods?
  • Madison - Northeast New Sylvania's industrial park. All you will find is factories and warehouses full of workers. This is also where the labor union prospers.
  • Arborton - Located in the far south region. Arborton is a town that is not really considered "likable" for it's San Fierro like hills, its maintenance, and its crime rate which gradually increases as time goes by. It has an airstrip for the locals that own small planes and for people that go skydiving.

gvDz6xj.png

  • Stillwater - A small town near the New Sylvania/Alderney border that is peaceful and quiet. Many couples visit the local resort during anniversaries.
  • Collinstown - A small town with a heavy Italian presence bordering the city luxurious City of Southampton and the booming City of Lenapia. Collinstown hosts the Annual Italian Festival which is well known in the East Coast. Although Collinstown is Dovi territory, it is the residence of many mobsters from different cities.
  • Edenburg - The home of the East Edenburg University. Edenburg is considered the safest, most family-friendly city in the South-East, nevermind the countless college parties that occur every weekend. There is no mob activity in the town as far as citizens know. When in actuality, the Dovi's run a very lucrative loan-sharking business through the East Edenburg University Security detail. Sometimes college students need money, the Dovi's oblige.

Lenapia County

  • Southampton - New Sylvania's own Empire City. The City of Southampton is the home of multiple Mob-run Casino's and Hotels throughout the 70's and 80's. A city of addictions, temptations, and non-stop craziness. The city is utilized by the Manganelli's and Lenapia's own, Dovi Family.
  • Pendencia - The City of Independence. Pendencia is the biggest city in New Sylvania, also home to the Buono Crime Family. In the 1970's, Pendencia is the place to be. Both Liberty City and Alderney would go through an economic downward spiral in the late 70's which would get many people to move to this city. Pendencia's heavy population and mixture of cultures would be the result of making this city the metropolis it is today.

University County

  • Sylvania State College - The most prestigious college in New Sylvania with one of the best college football teams in America.

Oneida County

  • Senaca State Park - A wonder of natures purest form. A zoned off state park with beautiful greenery and animals living free.

Danforth County

  • Litchfield - Welcome to Amish Country. Thankfully they haven't claimed all of Litchfield. Mostly surrounded by cornfields and open road, but once you reach the heart of Litchfield, that's where all the craziness happens in Mid-Syl. Party with no worries.
  • Liberty: Home to die hard fans of the Syl-State Senaca Yukons and the Havenburgh Silverbacks. Citizens of Liberty are loud, drunks, and proud of their town. They are not too keen on outsiders coming through their town, but if you can out-drink any of them, they'll treat you like family.
  • Jeanniesburg: This is where the biggest battle of the Civil War occurred. It is now a tourist attraction, but you can almost feel like the battle still goes on in the afterlife.
  • Smithsburg - The Capital City of the Commonwealth of New Sylvania. With a population of 50,000+, it stands as the 5th largest city in New Sylvania. With Lenapia standing at number one with a population well over 1.8 million.

Reynolds County

  • Aries - Named after Lake Aries. It is placed right in between Henderson, Orion and Monstresor, Liberty. Although it is considered LaTorre territory, that hasn't stopped the Henderson Crime Famly and the Montresor Crime Family from establishing their own crews in the Lake city. Because of that and the high population of the city, crime is at an all time high with people indulging in gambling, drug trafficking, extortion, and murder.
  • Bagansville - The city time has forgotten. A remote town between New Carlisle and Havenburgh that is easy to miss and forget. Which makes it the perfect place for a mob hangout. The LaTorre Family conduct their bigger meetings in John LaTorre's mansion, known to them as The White House. Careful digging in the town soft soil, you are sure to find bodies.

Senaca County

  • New Carlisle - The historic town of New Carlisle lands right at the end of New Sylvania. Travel anywhere west of the town and you'll hit Burkestown, Orion. New Carlisle holds one of the biggest Irish communities in New Sylvania. Mob activity isn't known to be in existence in this town but the Irish do look after their own and aren't welcoming to outsiders.
  • Havenburgh - The home of the LaTorre Crime Family. Havenburgh is considered The Big City for a better future to the people of the Far West District. Any and every business is sure to be successful if you pay the LaTorre's a percentage each month. John LaTorre runs Havenburgh with an iron fist. No one can come and cause trouble and get away with it, they will sure be dealt with. As the "Burghies" say, "You can get buried faster in Havenburgh.

The 1970's were a very experimental time when it came to making money on the streets and just plain, living your life. Maybe you don't have any warehouses yet, not to worry. The streets of New Sylvania offers an immense multitude of activities to kill time and make money. The various payphones spread around the state are one source of accessing these features. Others are word of mouth. Don't want to spread too much out on the streets. Stay frosty though; you never when you'll get attacked or called on while your guard is down. You've been warned.

The Social Club: Once you unlock Social Clubs, you have full access to any clubs where you are allowed in. Depending on the Families relations, you may, or may not, be allowed in certain social clubs. You can either avoid them or go in and risk a fight. If you choose the latter, you add to the heat level. Have high enough and you must roam about town looking over both shoulders. They will come after you and your money. So be very careful.

Heat Level:  GTA:NS introduces the Heat Level of both criminal and police. Works the same for both but the consequences are much different. Rise the Criminal Heal Level enough and you'll start being followed, staked out, even get tested to see if you'll back down. But if you do nothing, it'll go down on its own. However, if you continue to increase it, then they will take drastic measures to end your life. As for the Police Heat Level, rise it half-way, and you'll be messed with a lot more than usual. They'll pull over and muscle money out of you but won't arrest. Unless you rise it up, then they'll try their best to take you down. Dead or alive.

Investments: Once you have a nice amount of money at your disposal, you can look into investments. Such as purchasing run-down houses and shops to either use as stash houses, money laundering operation, or actually run an actual business. You can even make big investments towards New Sylvania's drug/car/clothing business. But invest wisely. You can easily get ripped and left broke. You can get loans from banks under different identities. Get too out of control, and all the debts will catch up to you.

Identity Theft: It was easy to do in the 1970's. You can use this feature to get loans from banks and credit unions in New Sylvania, Ohio, Liberty, and Alderney. Just don't get too sloppy.

Enjoy the large variety of entertainment New Sylvania offers! From listening to today's hits on the radio to watching the latest film on the big screen. Music selection will change as you progress through the chapters. It's all there for your pleasure. Maybe you'd like to go on a drive and turn on the FM, listening to your favorite songs, making your trip an absolute dream. Or perhaps, you would prefer listening to your favorite songs in the comfort of your home. You can purchase albums at your local record store and let her rip on your vinyl player. And if you'd like, go ahead to the movie theaters and watch the latest Vinewood has to offer. Just know that boredom in New Sylvania, is not an option.

MISSION 1: Prologue - June 3rd, 1971

A clear view of the bright blue sky; a high-noon sun striking the screen with its brightness. The screen pans downwards showing an almost tropical setting; an abundance of trees in a green field with a dirt road in the middle with tire tracks indicating that many heavy vehicles have driven this same road. The theme song and the credits commence.

Rapid gunshots are heard from a distance. The screen pans over to the Asian drivers' point of view, showing a military jeep rushing down in the opposite direction. The screen zooms in to see our protagonist driving erratically with an NVA mobile unit with two men chasing after him.

FJQqPM2.png

The theme song ends and Guitar Man by Elvis Presley
begins playing, giving the consumer an adrenaline filled, blood-pumping ambience of fear and desperation. As our protagonist tries to remain calm enough to maneuver the sharp turns, an NVA officer begins shooting his assault rifle at the vehicle. Virgil ducks down to avoid getting hit and in a taunting manner, gives the officers the finger. Seeing that the NVA officers are getting real close, Virgil makes a sharp right turn on a road of an open field under the impression he has lost the pursuers. At this moment, you gain control of the Jeep and rush down this road. In a frustrated tone, you will hear Virgil exclaim-

"F*ck, f*ck, f*ck!"

After turning at the end of the road, you feel as if you are not alone. Looking behind and you will see the same NVA jeep rushing towards you.

"Oh, f*ck me!"

Take whichever road you prefer to escape, but keep in mind, you are unarmed. Once you lose the pursuers, a brief cutscene will begin, showing Virgil in a more calm state. He slows down and closes his eyes as he regulates his breathing. Unknowingly, he is heading straight for a tree at a bend. He opens his eyes on time to turn the jeep but he accidentally flips it over, tossing him out of the vehicle as it tumbles down a small hill.

Dazed and confused, he gets up from the ground and sees the jeep completely destroyed. He mutters under his breath-

"Sh*t."

He looks around his surroundings and sees a miracle, his military camp
just at the bottom of the hill. As he commences to make his way, a jeep is heard braking abruptly. Virgil notices it's the same pursuers.

"These f*ckers don't give up, do they?"

Virgil ducks down and hides behind a rock. The distance between Virgil and the camp seems about three miles, but he must get there without being compromised. Doesn't seem easy as more NVA officers are spread around his location in search of him. You gain control of Virgil and the stealth mechanic is now introduced. You must plan your next move carefully as you get through the enemies armed with assault rifles.

You can throw objects towards the opposite direction to distract whoever is near. This will, however, apply pressure towards the search, so do not make it a habit.

Patience is key in this situation. You must wait for an opening to get through. If you are seen, a rain of bullets will drop upon you... Killing you almost in an instant and you have failed.

Once you have reached the point of safety, you can make your way to the camp without any interference but still be aware of your surroundings. Be alert for any sounds around you.

Once you have gone through this maze of fear and panic and have reached the camp, Virgil is introduced by his fellow soldiers with their rifles pointed at him, even after he has made yourself known to them. He comes to a stop in the middle of the camp when he sees his Commanding Officer coming his way at a rather frustrating pace. Virgil will stand at attention and salute.

"Corporal Virgil Assante reporting, sir!"

The Commanding officer will take a brief moment of silence to analyze Virgil's sloppy appearance. He is in his tank top which is full of dirt and dried up blood.

Sgt. Killebrew: What is the meaning of this, ASS-ante?
Virgil: Sir?
Sgt. Killebrew: You abandoned your post last night once again, didn't you?
Virgil: I did not, sir.
Sgt. Killebrew: Are you calling me a liar, ASS-ante?
Virgil: No I'm not, sir.
Sgt. Killebrew: Well, even if you're being abso-f*cking-lutely truthful with me and your company, it won't amount to sh*t.

Ending that statement with a drizzle of spit shooting at Virgil's face-

Sgt. Killebrew: Don't think I don't know about your little side-business you got here.

Virgil's face goes from serious to worried.

Sgt: Killebrew: In your absence, we found one of your followers wearing a Russian neck-tie just outside the perimeter. I can't even imagine the fact that Charlie has stepped foot in our safe haven and killed one of ours. Like nothing.

Sgt. Killebrew gets up close and personal with Virgil.

Sgt. Killebrew: You are done. You hear me, wop? You. Are. Done! I want your sh*t packed and out of here in fifteen minutes. Do I make myself clear, guinea?

Virgil now becomes enraged and in a swift motion, he punches Sgt. Killebrew. Punching just a couple of times more until he hits the ground. The surrounding soldiers get Virgil off Killebrew and escort him to the exit. Outside is a recon unit waiting on Virgil to take him to a plane to fly him back home.

The screen transitions to the military plane already mid-air showing Virgil looking out the window seeing the blue sea. He rests his head back and closes his eyes. The screen will fade to black imitating Virgil. The pilot will then announce-

"We are now approaching New Sylvania."

The screen clears back and Virgil wakes up. He looks out the window, this time to see The State of New Sylvania , his home. People are seen walking down the main street of Brooke-Meyer , traffic is dense Downtown, and you can hear the liberating music of The Doors in the airwaves.

Skip ahead to Virgil exiting the airport and hailing a taxi-

Virgil: Hey, could you take me to Downtown Brooke-Meyer? Right on the Square?
Driver: You got it.

The taxi will pull out and make its way to I-18 South. We get a full view of the city of Brooke-Meyer. Its shopping centre, the restaurants, and the densely populated Wilkes Square, where Virgil is dropped off. After he gets out of the taxi, he stands in the middle of the square. Looking around and he sees a different Brooke-Meyer. There are more people and the fashion has changed greatly.

He reaches into his jacket and pulls out a cigarette. Realizing he doesn't have a lighter, he stops a random commuter and asks him if he has a lighter to which he responds yes and lights his cigarette. Across the square, Virgil notices a payphone, reaches into his pocket once again to find coins then makes his way to it. He puts in the required amount to make a call then dials an old number he remembers. After ringing three times, someone answers-

Man: Who's this?
Virgil: This still the number for Paul Keitel?
Paul: That all depends. Do I owe you money or did I f*ck your wife and/or girlfriend?
Virgil: Uh, no.
Paul: Then who the f*ck is this and how do you know my name and number if I didn't f*ck your girl?
Virgil: Paul, you Jew asshole, you haven't changed a bit.
Paul: You sure I didn't f*ck your-
Virgil: No you didn't. That all you're known for now?
Paul: Pretty much. So what do you want?
Virgil: Uh, son of a b*tch, it's f*cking Virgil!
Paul: As in, Virgil the Italian sh*thead ASS-ante!?
Virgil: Go f*ck yourself you Jew prick.
Paul: Holy f*cking sh*t, brother! Where are you?
Virgil: At the Square. Can you pick me up?
Paul: I'm on my way right now. Don't move.
Virgil: Alright. See you soon.

Virgil will sit on a nearby bench to wait for Paul. It will fast forward to the moment Paul arrives.

Paul will arrive in his Vapid Olvido and park across the street. When he gets out you see a man with long hair and a beard and wearing glasses. His clothing is the typical 1970's fashion with the wide collar and bell-bottoms. At full height, he is a couple of inches shorter than Virgil. He walks with a slight yet noticeable limp from his right leg. He crosses the street and meets up with Virgil.

Paul: Virgil f*cking Assante!
Virgil: Paul f*cking Keitel!

The two have a hug and pat each others back.

Paul: God. It's so good to see you. How long has it been?
Virgil: It's been 4 long years, Can you believe it?
Paul: No. This whole time I thought you'd be dead in a ditch getting pissed on by a China-man.
Virgil: You'd love that wouldn't you, you sick bastard.
Paul: It would save me a trip to the funeral.

The two share a very heart-warming laugh.

Paul: Now can we get the f*ck out of here? I need a drink.
Virgil: Alright. Let's go.

The pair make their way to the car, to which Virgil comments-

Virgil: Nice ride, man.
Paul: Thanks. She hasn't failed me yet.

They get in the car with Virgil in the Passenger seat. They have a conversation during the car ride.

Paul: So you on leave?
Virgil: Actually, no. Got discharged.
Paul: You don't sound too happy about it.
Virgil: Well it's just, I dedicated three years of my life to serve my country and I didn't get far going by the book.
Paul: By the book? What, did you start selling drugs to the blacks?
Virgil: You're not far off.

Paul stops at a red light and looks over at Virgil with a concerned look.

Paul: No sh*t.
Virgil: Yeah. A real American soldier in the drug trade.
Paul: Well, what did you move? Weed? Coke?
Virgil: Heroin.
Paul: The big league, huh.
Virgil: It's a dirty business controlled by greedy men with no remorse.
Paul: I'm guessing you done killed a few of them for trying to f*ck with you, huh?
Virgil: Actually, no. Never.
Paul: Wait, what? You went to fight in a war and you didn't kill anyone? What, you going all "Thou shall not kill" or what?
Virgil: It's not that. Just never been put in a situation where I had to kill. Been chased a few times but never had to pull the trigger.
Paul: That's a very cute story.
Virgil: F*ck you.

They will arrive at Paul's residence, an old apartment building with a dark brown hue, and park at the private parking lot besides the building. They will make their way upstairs to the fourth level and enter Paul's apartment. A small apartment with the lights off but dimly lit by the multiple lava lamps spread across the living and kitchen area.

Paul: Welcome to the castle of Lord Keitel.
Virgil: This a nice place, Paul. How long have you lived here?
Paul: About a year. After I moved back from Henderson.
Virgil: Henderson?
Paul: That's a story for another day. But right now, I know you're tired and need a shower. I got a guest bedroom mainly used for questionable orgies so you can sleep on that. And I'm sure you can find the bathroom. If not-
Virgil: I got it, dick.
Paul: Well alright then. I'm gonna head out and do some errands. You can stay here as long as you need. Just have one condition. Anything involving drugs and prostitutes, please share.
Virgil: I'll uh, try to keep that in mind.
Paul: Perfect. Now get comfortable, alright buddy. I'll see you later.
Virgil: See ya man.

Paul will leave and you are now in your new safehouse. You can shower and change your clothes, eat whatever is in the fridge, or sit down and turn on either the television or the radio. You have access to everything in your safehouse. Feel free to explore it more before going to your bed to sleep which will save the game and advance to the next day.

Once you have saved your game, you have completed the mission.

MISSION 2: Welcome Home - June 4th, 1971

Once you wake up the next day and make your way to the living room, you will notice Paul sleeping on the floor. Virgil gives him a slight kick to his side to wake him up, Paul wakes up immediately-

"What the f*ck?"

Paul turns and sees Virgil standing over him with a grin.

Virgil: I'm guessing you and the bed got into a fight?

Paul: So you got jokes now?

Virgil: Only on Friday's.

Paul gets up and fixes himself.

Virgil: The hell happened between the moment you left last night and now?
Paul: I had a long night. Let's just leave it at that.
Virgil: Okay, not suspicious at all.
Paul: No, not at all.

The two head towards the kitchen and prepare some breakfast-

Paul: I got some hoagies's in the fridge if you want 'em.

Virgil will go through the fridge and get one of the sandwiches and starts eating it right away. Paul, however, grabs a Cabot Premium beer and drinks it.

Virgil: Really?
Paul: What?
Virgil: It's 10 AM.
Paul: A Cabot a day, f*cks you up the right way. You want one?
Virgil: Maybe later.
Paul: Wow, okay I see. Getting a little weak in your old age.
Virgil: Old Age?-
Paul: I mean, if you're missing the proper equipment between your legs then, my condolences.
Virgil: Now you're the one with jokes? You know what? Give me a goddamn beer. I can guarantee you, I can finish it before you.
Paul: Is that a Chug-llenge?
Virgil: Yes, it is.
Paul: Very well, worthy opponent. Prepare for your loss.

Paul grabs two more beers and hands one to Virgil.

Paul: To the winner, the spoils.
Virgil: To the loser, the sh*tter.

This is when a new mechanic gets introduced, the beer chugging mini-game. You must wait until your opponent gives the word to begin. Once he says it, press R2 and Virgil will bring his drink up to his face and commence drinking. It is at this moment you must hit the button sequence as it pops up in the middle of the screen. Missing a button will slow down Virgil's drinking. The more buttons you miss, the more complicated the sequence will get, if you miss more than 60%, Virgil will stop drinking, making you the loser automatically. Hit everything right and on time, you'll receive golden points which will help Virgil drink faster.

If you lost:

Paul: Ha! Nice try Marine Boy. But Lord Keitel is the Messiah of the drinkers.
Virgil: Lucky win, you f*ck.

If you won:

Virgil: Still taking sips, huh? I told you, Paul, you can not out-drink me. How does it feel to lose every single time?
Paul: When you're not looking, I'm gonna arrange a f*cked-up reunion with that bottle and your ass.
Virgil: Flirting will get you nowhere.
Paul: F*ck you.

After the mini-game is finished-

Paul: So what you gonna do today?
Virgil: I don't know. I'd like to visit my parents. Maybe find Mario and Philly.
Paul: Well, go ahead. Mario lives on Hannah Street now. You remember Lenny?
Virgil: Yeah. The skinny guy with the hot sister.
Paul: Yeah well- Wait you actually thought she was hot?
Virgil: Uh, no of course not.
Paul: Anyway, Mario lives in Lenny's house now.
Virgil: Okay. What about Phil?
Paul: Last I heard, Phil was doing a small bid.
Virgil: State?
Paul: County. Nothing big. I don't know if he's out or not. And of course, your parents are still at the same place.
Virgil: Cool. Can you give me a ride?
Paul: I would, but I'm late for work. There's a bus stop right on the corner that takes you straight to your parents and Hannah Street. It's only a quarter.
Virgil: Alright. So, what's your job?
Paul: Male prostitute.
Virgil: Sometimes I wonder if you're joking or not.
Paul: Wouldn't you like to know.

The two share a laugh.

Paul: Alright Bud, I gotta head out. Meet me over at Teberio's later with Mario.
Virgil: Sounds like a plan. See you then.

You now have control of Virgil and you are given the objective to visit your parents house by bus. Step outside and see Paul's block, Gerald Street. This is your home. 78 Gerald Street is your address and the parking lot at the side of the building is where your default vehicle will spawn. You can also save maximum three other street vehicles, but if you haven't payed for it then it will only be saved temporarily. Right on the corner is the bus stop Paul mentioned. They spawn every fifteen to twenty-five minutes in-game. Walk up to the bus stop and wait for the bus to arrive. Once it does, press "Triangle" to enter and Virgil will automatically pay the toll and sit down. You can change the camera from First Person to Cinematic. Your map will show the current bus route you are on. Keep a close eye at your destination and the bus stop near it. Once you are close to your destination, press "Triangle" again and the bus will stop at the next stop. You will get off and you walk to a white single-family house and step on the mission indicator. A cutscene will commence. Virgil is seen knocking on the door and through the glass pane, you can see someone coming towards the door. Virgil's mother answers-

"Virgil!"

Virgil and his mother have a hug-

Mona: I can't believe my boy's home.
Virgil: Hey Ma, how you been?
Mona: I been good. Oh, come in, come in.

Virgil enters the house and takes off his military coat.

Mona: Wait til your father sees you, he is gonna be so happy.
Virgil: Where is he?
Mona: In his room, sleeping.
Virgil: Still?
Mona: He came home late last night, again.
Virgil: Still drinking?
Mona: Yeah, but he's gotten better over time. Don't bring it up, he'll just swear up and down that he's okay.
Virgil: It's alright Ma, I won't say anything.
Mona: Alright. Let me call him down.

She will make her way upstairs yell out her husbands name-

"Pazzo! Wake up!"

Virgil will sit on the couch waiting for his father to come down. He looks around and sees old family photos. He looks at one where he was a kid standing alongside his father in Wilkes Square with "Summer of '53" written on the bottom-right corner. He sees another of his parents wedding from 1943. It shows their younger selves smiling with such happiness, something that Virgil hasn't seen in a long time. The last photo he sees is of him, Paul, Mario, and Phil standing together smiling in 1967, the day before Virgil was shipped to Vietnam. Someone begins talking to Virgil's surprise-

: Good times. huh?
Virgil: Hey Pop.

The two have a heartwarming hug.

Pazzo: Welcome home, Son. How you been?
Virgil: Alive, Pop. They couldn't get me.
Pazzo: And they never will.

They share a laugh and the screen will zoom out to the front of the house and time will forward up to the moment Virgil leaves.

Virgil: I gotta go, Ma.
Mona: Where are you gonna sleep?
Virgil: Paul's place. He's helping me.
Mona: Paul? Paul Keitel?
Virgil: Don't start, Ma.
Mona: I've been telling you for years, Paul is nothing but trouble.
Virgil: But he's also my best friend.
Mona: Just promise me, you'll be careful. Don't let Paul get you into any more bullsh*t.
Virgil: I'm a grown man, Ma. I'm careful.
Mona: Well I'm glad.

They have a hug-

Mona: Be sure to visit us. We're always here.
Virgil: I will, Ma. I'll call you later.

Virgil steps out of the house and walks towards the bus stop once again. Wait for the bus to arrive. Once it does, you enter and head towards your next destination, Mario's house. Once you get there, you will see Mario on his drive-way working on his 1971 Barbican Jet. Virgil will approach him.

Virgil: I didn't know we can chop cars on our driveways now.

Mario turns around and notices Virgil-

Mario: Virgil, holy f*ck! I can't believe you're back.
Virgil: How's it going, Mario.

The two have a hug and share a laugh. Mario screams towards his house-

"Yo Philly! Get out here!"

Phil Costigan is seen coming out of the house and rushes to Virgil and gives him a hug.

Phil: Virgil f*cking Assante! Glad to see you're not dead.
Virgil: Philly, you've certainly grown.
Mario: Yeah, he thinks he's a big man. But he's still the little bitch following us around.
Phil: Hey, f*ck both of you.
Virgil: Hey Phil, Paul said you was doing a bid and didn't know if you were out or not.
Phil: I actually got out yesterday. Mario got me.
Virgil: What were you in for?
Phil: Burglary. Only did six months.
Mario: I keep telling him to stop getting caught or else he'll be inside for years rather than months.
Phil: And this, children, is why you need a good reliable crew.
Mario: That's true. But look, f*ck this reminising bullsh*t. Let's get a drink. Where you guy wanna go?
Virgil: Paul said to meet him at Teberio's.
Mario: Teberio's it is then. Let's go.
Phil: I'll meet you guys there. I gotta take care of a couple of things.
Mario: Alright, we'll see you there. Let's go, V.

Phil walks away and Mario and Virgil walk towards Mario's car.

Mario: You wanna drive?
Virgil: Really?
Mario: Say yes before I change my mind.
Virgil: Alright, alright.

Mario hands Virgil the keys and you are now able to drive. Familiarize yourself with the driving controls then make your way to Teberio's. During the ride-

Virgil: Can't believe how much this city has changed in only four years.
Mario: Yeah. A lot has changed, but for the better.
Virgil: You look like you're doing well. Living in a good house, driving this nice car. You've done alright.
Mario: It comes with the territory. But actually, all of us are doing well. I got some things going on that I'm profitting from. Philly got something going on. But Paul, got a big thing going on.
Virgil: Like what?
Mario: If he hasn't told you, I ain't saying a word.
Virgil: Fair enough.

Follow the marked route on your map to your destination. Once you arrive, a cutscene will begin. You walk in and notice the groovy dim-lit lighting with a variety of colors transitioning and some great rock music coming out of the jukebox. Walk towards the end of the bar where Paul is sitting already. You will have a seat next to him
Teberio's, a hotspot for the young adults to let loose.

Paul: There you guys are. I already had three beers waiting for you jackasses.
Virgil: So you waited five minutes. That's nice.
Paul: Where's Philly?
Mario: He'll catch up with us. Let's get a drink.

You can order whatever you want: Beer (Pisswasser, Cabot, and Clover) or Liquor (Whiskey, Rum, Vodka, Scotch) They will be paid by Paul and Mario this time. Once you choose your drink and it is given to you, the trio will prepare for a toast. At that moment is when Phil will walk in and join you. His drink is already ordered and he joins in the toast.

Paul: To our best friend, Virgil Assante. We thank God and whoever us Jews worship, for getting you back to us safe.
Mario: Here's hoping you can achieve whatever goal you have. You've always had that drive and I know you'll get far.
Phil: We love you Virgil, and we wanna see you prosper.
All Three: To Virgil f*cking Assante!

Everyone takes their drink.

Virgil: Thanks guys, I really do appreciate this.
Mario: Enough with the p*ssy talk. Let's get another round.

The group will spend hours drinking as the time fast-fowards til they decide leave. They are all heavily intoxicated.

Paul: [slurred] I got an idea. Let's head back to my place, take some of these girls with us and have a real party. What do you guys say?
Virgil: [slurred] Let's do it.
Phil: [slurred] F*cking A, let's do it.
Mario: [slurred] Well, how can I say no to that? I'm in. You guys want a little pick me up?

Mario will take out a small bag of cocaine and show it to the group.

Paul: Put that back. We can't do it here. Let's go to the bathroom. You guys in?
Phil: I'm in.
Paul: Virgil?
Virgil: Let's do it.

The group make their way to the bathroom. Mario sets up four rails of cocaine on the edge of the sink. He rolls up a twenty-dollar-bill and consumes one line. He then passes it to Phil and he will do the next line. Same with Paul and Virgil. After taking the cocaine, the screen has a bright effect, almost like a filter. It affects your movement, your balance, and how you speak.

Virgil: I got an idea. Let me see the bag.

Mario hands Virgil the bag of cocaine.

Virgil: Wait here.

Virgil steps out of the bathroom and notices a table with four women. He makes his way towards them. He grabs their attention-

"Excuse me, but you girls are exactly what I'm looking for. Would yous' care to help a Vietnam Vet have a good time tonight?"

The girls laugh

Nancy: And if we say yes, you gonna handle all four of us?
Virgil: Oh I could, trust me. But no, I only need one. And it's the one I'm looking at right now.

Virgil grabs the attention of a blue-eyed blonde girl

Virgil: What's your name?
Stefani: Stefani. What's yours?
Virgil: I'm Virgil The Vietnam Vet.
Stefani: Well Virgil The Vietnam Vet, nice to meet you.
Virgil: Like-wise.

Virgil looks around the table

"You girls interested in a little pick me up?"

Virgil shows the girls the cocaine-

Nancy: That kinda party, huh? I'm in. Girls?
Nicole: Yeah, let's do it.
Cici: Sounds like fun. You coming Stef?
Stefani: ...Yeah. Let's go.

They all head towards the bathroom where Paul, Phil, and Mario are already at.

Nicole: Now it's a party.

The group continues to consume the cocaine. Phil and Cici begin kissing quite intimately, Nancy and Paul seem to be close, Nicole and Mario hit it off right away. Virgil puts his arm around Stefani-

"You ain't used to this are you?"

Stefani hesitates to answers out of embarrassment.

Virgil: It's okay, I don't care.
Stefani: I do it sometimes, just not a lot.
Virgil: I'm the same way. It's no big deal.
Paul: Hey everyone, party at my place!

Everyone agrees and they head out. Everyone gets in their cars and follow Paul to his place. Once you have arrived, Paul will put on the music and break out the liquor. Here you have the chance to get to know the girls more by initiating conversations with them. Once you're done with that you can talk to Stefani who is in the kitchen area drinking with Nancy.

Virgil: Mind if I join you?
Stefani: Not at all.

Stefani prepares two shot glasses and hands one to Virgil. They take the shot and share a moment as they stare into each other's eyes. Stefani grabs the bottle-

"Want another shot?"

Virgil will agree to it. Another two shots are served by Stefani and they drink it. Once they both put their glasses down, they share another moment again. Virgil reacts this time and goes up to Stefani and kisses her. The screen pans over to the rest of the party, doing a 360 then fast-foward to the next morning when everyone is asleep. Paul and Nancy sleep naked covered by a bed sheet on the living room floor. Mario and Nicole are also naked and asleep on the couch covered by their loose clothes. Phil and Cici are found in the bath tub, again, naked and sleeping. Virgil and Stefani are in the guest bedroom, also naked and sleeping. Virgil is the first to wake up and noticed Stefani on his bed. He smiles as a way to congratulate himself. As soon as he gets up from bed and puts clothes on, you have passed the mission.

MISSION 3: Job Hunt - June 5th, 1971

Virgil is seen in the kitchen drinking coffee while everyones asleep. Stefani wakes up wearing only a white button-down white that is too big for her and makes her way to the kitchen towards Virgil. The two share an intimate look.

Stefani: Hiya Stranger.

Virgil: Hiya Back.

Virgil serves Stefani a cup of coffee and they sit down and talk.

Virgil: That was quite a night, last night.

Stefani: Yeah, it was.

Virgil: The perfect welcome home party with the perfect blonde alongside me.

Stefani looks down at her coffee to hide the fact she is blushing from Virgil's compliment.

Stefani: Oh stop it. I'm not perfect.

Virgil: Don't do that.

Stefani: Don't do what?

Virgil: What you just did. You are the most beautiful woman I've ever seen in my life apart from Paul when he wets his hair.

Stefani and Virgil share a laugh as they sip their coffee. They soon get silent and stare into each others eyes. Virgil looks deep into her bright blue eyes feeling enamoured. Stefani caresses Virgil's left side of his face with her hand. It's clear they want each other, so they lean towards each other to share a kiss. As they're face-to-face... Paul interrupts-

"What in the f*ck are you two doing? Falling in love? That's a no-no in Lord Keitel's Castle."

The two lean back and continue to drink their coffee.

Paul: Did I interrupt something?

Virgil: I hate you.

Paul: Aww Virgil's getting all touchy-feely with his new blondie.

Stefani: Quite the gentleman.

Paul: Better believe it Blondie.

Paul gets up and enters his bedroom and changes into more appropriate clothes. Nancy will also wake up-

"There any vodka? In this case, even rum will do."

She stands up completely naked in front of Virgil and Stefani, and also Phil who has just woke up.

Stefani: Nance, are you serious?

Phil: Yes. She. Is.

Virgil: Cover your eyes, Philly.

Phil: Oh f*ck you Virgil, if it's there, I'm f*cking looking.

Paul comes back to the living room-

Paul: Whoa, ready for round four?

Virgil: Four?

Stefani: Nance, can you please put some clothes on.

Nancy: It's not like they feel weird seeing me naked, do you, boys?

Phil: Define weird.

Paul: That is my sugar bowl, Phil. You got your own.

Stefani: That's it. Come with me.

Stefani will take Nancy to Pauls bedroom and help her get dressed.

Paul: Hey Blondie, me and Virgil gonna head out. Yous gonna be okay?

Stefani: Yeah.

Virgil: We're going out?

Paul: Yeah, let's go.

The two make their way to the door. Paul quickly stops his tracks and turn around-

"Make sure you leave her panties on my nightstand. Thank you."

Now they leave and enter Paul's car.

Paul: You drive.

Virgil: Where to?

Paul: Coolbaugh Meat Packing.

Virgil: That's all the way in Madison.

Paul: I'm aware.

Virgil: Okay.

You are given the objective to drive to the Madison Industrial Park. During the ride, Paul will initial conversation.

Paul: So.

Virgil: So.

Paul: Sooo, that blondie. How was she?

Virgil: Really?

Paul: What?

Virgil: That's a little personal, don't you think.

Paul: And you f*cking her on my bed isn't personal?

Virgil: ... Good point.

Paul: Now give me details.

Virgil: She's a wild girl. Her moans of ecstasy had me going crazy. And the kisses were something that felt amazing and-

Paul: I want dirty details, not no lovey-dovey bullsh*t. You suck at this.

Virgil: You're just a sly.

Paul: A Sly who wants to know if it's tight or not.

Once you have made it to your destination, a cutscene will commence. Showing Virgil and Paul walking in the reception desk of this meat-packing warehouse.

Paul: Hey there, good-looking.

Receptionist: How can I help you two?

Paul: Well, there's one thing you can help me with but that's for another day. We're here to get this man right here, a job.

Virgil: Wait, what?

Paul: Aren't you looking for work?

Virgil: Well, yeah. But why here? There's no way I'd ever work here. No f*cking way.

Receptionist: The pay starts at $12 an hour.

Virgil: I'll take a look at that application.

Paul: Attaboy.

Virgil: I mean, it can't hurt right?

Paul: When can he start?

Receptionist: He can start right now if he'd like. First shift hasn't started yet.

Paul: He'll do it.

Virgil: Wait a minute-

Paul: He is so excited.

Receptionist: Follow me, sir.

Paul: Go kill 'em, Bud.

Virgil: I f*cking hate you.

Paul: You'll thank me later.

Virgil will follow the receptionist to a locker room where Virgil can change into more appropiate clothing for the job. Once you are all changed, you must follow her to the work area. She'll show you what you can begin doing which will be sealing packages and moving them to the next station. A QTE will appear where you must hit the right button at the right time without any errors. You will then be transfered to another station where you must also do the QTE. Once you completed that, the time will advance up until it's for you to leave. You step outside and feel the hot sun warming you up and you see Paul in his car waiting for you to get.

Paul: How was your first day, Bud?

Virgil: Not bad. I only got frost-bite uh, everywhere!

Paul: That's the working life, Man. Wanna go straight? Gotta do what you gotta do.

Virgil: If going straight means freezing in a meat-filled fridge til your dick feels off, then I want no part of it.

Paul: There are other jobs.

Virgil: I mean it. The nine to five life is not for me.

Paul: Actually it was like ten to almost six.

Virgil: Paul...

Paul: You want a real job?

Virgil: Yeah.

Paul: Alright.

Paul will pull over so you can switch to the driver seat.

Paul: Drive to Market St. and Jones.

Paul reaches towards the back seat and gets a plastic bag with a substance heavily wrapped in syran wrap and shows it to Virgil as he's driving.

Paul: This is what you're gonna do. I'm gonna tell you to drive to certain places to do drops offs and pick ups. Your main concern should be to make sure you don't bring back any police attention. If we get caught, we're looking at serious time.

Virgil: What is it we're dropping off or picking up?

Paul: Rule number one: Don't ever ask what you're picking up or dropping off. Makes the job easier. All you need to know is you're carrying something hot and you're selling it. Simple. Pick up, Drop off, Get paid, Drive away. Easiest money you'll ever get. Any questions?

Virgil: Uh..

Paul: Good.

Once you have reached your destination, you will notice another vehicle parked at the opposite direction in front of you.

Paul: Wait for him to flash his lights.

The other car flashes his lights once.

Paul: Now you flash 'em.

You flash your lights once. Then the car will start driving.

Paul: Now follow him.

You follow the other car to a desolate alleyway where you will come to a stop.

Paul: They will come to you. Just sit tight and have the package ready.

Two men will exit the other car and make their way towards you.

Paul: Gentlemen, I can see personal hygiene has not been good to you.

Thug 1: The package?

Virgil hands him the package.

Paul: The money?

The other thug will hand Paul a roll of cash.

Paul: Pleasure doing business, Gentlemen. Now do everyone a favor and invest in soap and new clothes. Let's go, V.

You will drive away.

Paul: Easy, right?

Virgil: They really tried to look intimidating.

Paul: They always do. Crazy Polacks. So what do you think?

Virgil: It's easy, it gets your blood pumping. I like it.

Paul: In that case, you work for me now. Now let's finish these runs.

Now you must complete three more drop offs to complete the mission. Once you completed all three, you are given the objective to drive back to Paul's home.

Paul: Good job, man. Not bad for your first day.

Virgil: Yeah, think I'll keep this job.

Paul: Good. Heres your first days pay.

Paul hands Virgil a roll of money with $300.

Virgil: Oh wow. For just one day?

Paul: For half a day. The more you do these runs, the more your pay adds up.

Virgil: Nice.

Paul: We'll do it again tomorrow. Now if you'll excuse me, I got a crazy alcoholic brunette waiting for me.

Virgil: Have fun.

MISSION 4: Routine - June 9th, 1971

Paul has lent you his vehicle which you can utilize anytime and will spawn for you at your private parking space. Your next mission will begin between 12PM and 3PM at Paul's residence. Until then, feel free to roam around the beautiful city of Brooke-Meyer and get familiar with its beautiful sights. Like The Wilkes Square, The Davenport Shopping Centre, even The Gemini Cinema. Once you are ready to progress forward, you may do so.

Virgil makes his way to Paul's apartment and finds Nancy coming out. By looking at her current state, you can tell she had a crazy night with Paul. Her hair is dishevelled, her make up is smushed up, and her dress is inside out. Not to mention shes slurring her words indicating she is still drunk or high, or both. She sees Virgil coming up the steps-

"Heeey Virgil. You're looking good."

Virgil stops and responds to Nancy.

Virgil: Hey Nance. Glad to see you're fully clothed.

Nancy: Yeah-Wait, what?- Oh yeah.

Virgil: Anyway, Paul awake?

Nancy: Yeah he is.

Virgil: Okay.

Virgil walks in looking for Paul, only to realize he isn't there. He goes back to Nancy.

Virgil: Where is he?

Nancy: Oh, I forgot to mention, he left in the middle of the night. He told me to tell you if I saw you.

Virgil: And you saw me, and you didn't mention it. You had one job.

Nancy: F*ck you, Virgil.

Virgil: He say anything else?

Nancy: He left a note for you on the counter with a hand-writting only he can understand.

Virgil: I've known him my whole life, I can read his hand-writting.

Nancy: Okay then, have fun. Uh, you holding by any chance?

Virgil: What the f*ck, no. Paul usually keeps a stash under his bed.

Nancy: I know. It's done. Me and Paul hit it hard last night. Let me tell you, for a Jewish boy, he's got a big-

Virgil: OKAY! I get it. Can you please f*ck off.

Nancy:... Dick.

Virgil: Oh my f*cking God. Bye Nance.

Nancy will finally leave and Virgil will read the note that Paul left him. It reads:

"Yo V, I had to leave for Ohio. Won't be back for a couple or three days. In the meantime, take over my routine. I'll list everything below. You can keep anything you win. I'm gonna be looking at a big payout after this job. Take care, Brother.

P.S. Feel free to use my place as a shag pad. Make sure you f*ck them Lillys good so they come back, where I come in for the kill.

After Virgil reads the letter, he'll make his way outside and you'll gain control of him. You will receive your first objective which is to go to 183 Korver St. Once you arrive, you will notice that the address is actually of an condemned house. A cherry red Albany Emperor will be parked directly across the street. Once you flash your lights, so will the driver of the Emperor. He will then slowly drive towards you and will come to a full stop right besides your driver door. Both of you roll down your windows where you see the driver's face as the high-noon sun hits his face. This is Frank Massucci, an Algonquin, Liberty City native who works for The Pavano Crime Family doing bi-weekly runs to Brooke-Meyer.

Frank: Where's the Jew?

Virgil: Couldn't make it. I'm subbing for him.

Frank: Oh really?

Virgil: Really.

Frank: Well I don't know who the f*ck you are, so why shouldn't I just drive away?

Virgil: If there's a problem, I'll go. But you wouldn't wanna piss off the wrong people, Aynit?

Frank: You got some f*cking balls. What's your name?

Virgil: Not important. We clear or we cross? (Are we doing this or not?)

Frank: Fine.

Frank will hand Virgil a dufflebag. You are not to know what's in it. Frank then hands a brown paper bag rolled up, held tight by two rubber bands.

Frank: Take care, Kid.

Virgil: Yeah, you too.

You have now completed your first pick up, now you must drop it off your next contact's location. You must make your way to 1375 Ok St. in Kennedy Plains to meet with Pete Zimmerman Like the previous location, this is also the address of an abandoned house. A man is seen sitting on the steps of the front porch. You flash your lights at him and he will signal you to come in the house. You will park your vehicle and make your way inside while carrying the dufflebag. Once you're inside the house, the man will be standing giving up a concerned look. You are unarmed, you don't know if something is going to happen to you but Virgil will maintain his cool and proceed with the transaction. The man will exclaim-

"Petey!"

Pete Zimmerman will make his way downstairs where he acknowledges the fact that you are not Paul.

Pete: Who the f*ck are you?

Virgil: Courier Service. Package to deliver.

Pete: What happened with Paul?

Virgil: Occupied.

Pete: Just like that?

Virgil: Just like that.

Pete: Well, that's highly unfortunate. I was really hoping I'd see him.

Virgil: Well, I'm here. And if there's anything you'd like to say to him, you can say to me.

Pete: I don't wanna say anything, Mook. Yo, Conan!

Conan, a tall and extremely buff Irishman will come from the kitchen area.

Pete: Now, look. Paul f*cked up and Conan here, does not appreciate the fact Paul f*cked his girlfriend.

Conan: Paul will pay for the destroying the only thing that was pure to me.

Pete: Now, Being that Paul ain't here, unfortunately, you gotta take his place.

Virgil: Fine.

Pete: Wait, what?

Virgil: I said fine, bring on the Mick.

Conan: He's got brass.

Pete: This is gonna be good. Alright boys, have at it.

You will now commence in your very first Fight. Follow the instructions that will appear on your screen and win the fight. Once you have depleted Conan's health bar, Virgil will knock Conan down and punch his face in multiple times until he is pulled away by Pete.

Pete: Okay! Okay! You proved your point. Damn, you got a real demon fire in you.

Virgil: Who's next?

Pete: No one. That bearer (beating) was suppose to be for Paul. Guess he wins this time.

Virgil: Any of yous touch Paul, I'll hunt you down. We clear?

Pete: Uh... understood.

Virgil: Now back to business.

Pete: Just leave the package. Here's your money.

Virgil: Pleasure doing business.

Virgil leaves the house and you can now have control of him and proceed to your next location. You must now drive to the city of Romero and head to 1983 Todd St. Which is the address of a garage where you'll find your next contact, Rich Rastagano, in his office.

Rich: You must be Paul's friend.

Virgil: I don't know what you're talking about.

Rich: Of course you don't. No one should know.

Rich will reach under his desk and pulls out yet another dufflebag and hands it to Virgil.

Rich: You know where to go, right?

Virgil: Yeah.

Rich: Okay then. Here take this.

Rich hands Virgil another brown paper bag also tied with two rubber bands.

Rich: That's for you.

Virgil: Thank you. Anything else?

Rich: Not now. But I'll ring ya up someday.

Virgil: Great. Take care.

Now you can make your way to your next drop off to Kensington. The address provided to you is of a mom-and-pop Polish Restaurant owned by Ari Avidan, your drop off contact. You walk in and notice images of Poland, even a full sized flag of Poland hanging over the counter. You will need to walk up to the counter and speak to an older woman cleaning the counter. She speaks with a heavy Polish accent as she greets Virgil-

"Welcome to Polska, I am Roza. How can I help you?"

Virgil stops and takes a look around.

Virgil: I'm looking for Ari Avidan.

Roza: Are you friend?

Virgil: Is he here?

Roza: Give me moment.

Roza goes to the back and exclaims Ari's name in her native language.-

"Ari, jakiś włoski pies szuka cię z przodu. Powiedziałem ci, żebyś nie wnosił swojego brudnego interesu do naszej restauracji." (Ari, some Italian looking dog is out front looking for you. I told you to not bring your dirty business to our restaurant.)

Roza comes back with a friendly face.

Roza: He is coming. Can I get you anything?

Virgil: No, thank you.

Virgil will sit and wait for Ari to arrive. Once he does, he invites to his office in the back. Walking towards the office you notice Ari is looking frail and gets multiple chills like he is cold, even though it is currently the Summer season. All of these characteristics indicate that this Ari is a junkie. As soon as you enter his office, you get right down to business.

Virgil: Courier Service. Package to Deliver.

Ari: Good, good. [sniff] Can I see?

Virgil: You can when you pay me.

Ari: Come on, man. Just a peek.

Virgil: I f*cking told you the condition. Pay me and it's yours.

Ari: L-L-Look, I got the money. But I wanna see. Just please let me see.

Ari tries to reach for the package but Virgil reacts by slapping his hand out of the way.

Virgil: The f*ck you doing?

Ari: Paul always let's me see the package first.

Virgil: Well I ain't Paul. You give me the money first, then you can have the package.

Ari: Y-Y-You don't understand. I need to see the pa-

An unknown voice comes from outside the door exclaims in an angered tone.

Voice: Ari! Do it now!

Virgil: Do what now?

Ari: Nothing. N-N-Nothing.

Virgil: This is too f*cked. No dice.

Virgil attempts to walk out the office just to be interrupted by the sound of a gun cocking behind him. He turns around to see Ari pointing a .38 Louie at Virgil.

Virgil: What the f*ck is this?

Ari: Just please, leave the package and walk away. Please don't complicate things.

Virgil notices Ari's hands are shaking indicating he is nervous. Any sudden movements and Ari could pull the trigger. Virgil's moderate training in 'Nam helps him assess the situation with slow advancements towards Ari.

Virgil: Listen Ari, I know you're scared. Just try to take it easy.

Ari: I'm not scared, Wop! This was suppose to be for Paul.

Virgil: Why?

Ari: He's working for the wrong people.

Virgil: Wrong people?

The unknown voice gets louder-

"I don't hear anything in there. I'm coming in there!"

The door is locked but it's being kicked down. Virgil must act quick and get out of there with the money. So in a swift motion, Virgil throws the package at Ari's face as a distraction. Ari shoots the package and a mist of white powder spreads out. Virgil will tackle Ari and beat him until he stays down. At this moment, the unknown voice kicks down the door and sees Ari on the ground and rushes to him. In an attempt to wake him up, Virgil will come from behind the desk and tackles the man to the ground. They both get up, at full height, the man is at least six inches taller than Virgil and more muscular as well. They have a staredown for a few seconds until Virgil throws the first punch with all his might which will get the man in a dazed state. Virgil will continue punching him until he is back on the ground, at which point, the man will try to sneak a knife into Virgil's side, aware of this, Virgil will grab the knife. The man won't let go of it so Virgil must keeping hitting him in the face whilst holding the knife with the other hand. Eventually he'll let it go and Virgil will possess it. And with the same knife, Virgil will jab it through the mans right hand and right through the floor, trapping him. Virgil will get up, grabs Ari's gun, grabs the money and rushes out of there. Once outside, Virgil will get in his car and drives away. While looking back in the rearview mirror, he sees two vehicles, a Willard Solair and a Declasse Tampa, rushing towards him. Virgil understands, he is being chased. You must lose them, any way you can. Once you do, you are in the clear. At this point, you can proceed with the rest of the jobs which will happen with no problems. Once you are finished, you must head towards the Pisswasser Brewery outside Downtown Romero. At the security check in, you must announce yourself.

Security: How can I help you?

Virgil: I'm looking for Ruben Nebish.

Security: Name?

Virgil: Paul Keitel.

Security: Oh. Go right in Mr. Keitel. He's in his office right up those stairs.

Virgil: Thank you.

Make your way through the lot and to the office. Once you enter, a man with salt-and-pepper hair will be sitting on his desk chair with his back faced towards you-

"You must be Paul's boy."

Virgil remains silent. The man speaks again-

"Relax buddy. I'm a close friend of Paul."

"I'm Ruben, Ruben Nebish. A proud Jew from the beautiful city of Henderson. I believe you're Virgil Assante, right?"

Virgil seems more relaxed.

Virgil: Yeah.

Ruben: Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Virgil. Is that package for me?

Virgil: Yeah.

Ruben: A man with an extensive vocabulary, I see. I like it.

Ruben notices the dried-up blood on Virgil's hand.

Ruben: Had some trouble, huh?

Virgil: A little bit. Nothing I couldn't handle.

Ruben: That's good. But I'm curious. Are you those crazy I don't give a flying f*ck about life type people or do you have more balls than brains?

Virgil: I'm someone that knows how to get the job done.

Ruben: So it seems. Give me the package.

Virgil will give Ruben the package of money and gives Virgil his cut.

Ruben: Here you go, a thousand bucks. Not bad, huh?
Virgil: Not at all.
Ruben: Good. You did a good job... Out of curiosity, who did you have to f*ck up?
Virgil: Pete Zimmerman and his crew.

Ruben: They're a crazy bunch. Anyone else?

Virgil: Ari Avidan and his crew.

Ruben: Even Hansen?

Virgil: Who?

Ruben: Big buff guy with a speck of dirt for a brain.

Virgil: Yeah, I f*cked him up also. Pinned his hand to the floor with his own knife.

Ruben: Oh wow! I'm impressed. How about this, I'm gonna jot down my address. I want you to visit me sometime to talk business. Get some more money in those pockets.

Virgil: Sounds good.

Ruben will write down his address and hands it to Virgil-

"I'll contact Paul first and I'll tell him. You go with him. Clear?"

Virgil takes the paper and stuffs it in his pocket-

"Clear."

Virgil walks away back to the car. At this moment, you have finished the mission.

Well, I have to break the missions chain with my post. 😛

I'm a bit surprised that there are still people who involve themselves into writing concept threads. RDR2 hype, y'know.

Is the map finished, or not? It looks off with all those white areas, so far. You should also consider changing the way radio section looks like with posting links to the songs and stuff.

@(Ambient) Map is far from finished. Going to add to it soon. I have quite a bit done but it's not uploaded. Definitely going to update the radio section soon. Thanks for your comment.

MISSION 5: First Date - July 1971

After Mission Four, your next mission will commence over at Stefani's residence in South Brooke-Meyer.

Once you arrive, Virgil will walk up the front steps and slowly approaches the door. He takes a deep breath and mentally prepares himself to proceed. He slowly raises his right hand and clenches his fist and takes a few moments with it raised. He is very hesitant to knock on the door, but he pushes himself to finally knock three moderate times. In the silence of the day, he can hear distant footsteps from behind the door, each step becomes clearer than the last as they came forth the door. In a slow motion, the door unlocks and opens revealing the deep blue eyes of Stefani which Virgil cannot keep his eyes off. Her smile becomes in sync with the weather as the day clears up and becomes sunny; Virgil smiles back, completely enamored of the sight.

Virgil: Hey, Stef.

Stefani: Hi, Virgil.
Virgil: It's nice to see you again.
Stefani: Yeah, me too. I mean, you too.

The two giggle at Stefani's slip up.

Virgil: You busy? Wanna grab a mug?

Stefani: I'm sorry, a mug?

Virgil: A coffee.

Stefani: Oh, oh yeah. I'd love to. Give me a few minutes to freshen up. Wanna come in?

Virgil: Y-yeah, yeah. I'd love to.

Stefani lets Virgil in tells him to make himself at home. Her house has a very nice and clean interior with dark brown wooden floors and pearl white walls. Stefani goes up the stairs and Virgil goes to the living room area. Virgil notices the abundance of pictures of Stefani and Nancy dated 1967 in South Essex Highschool in Henderson. He is hypnotized by her angelic look of innocence and beauty. A Sicilian woman with rich blonde hair and diamond blue eyes. Virgil smiles and notices Stefani's reflection from the window in front of him. He turns around and takes a moment to gaze at her beauty-

"You're beautiful."

Stefani blushes and smiles as she looks down in shyness. She looks up and in a delighted tone-

"Thank you."

The two smile and head out. They enter Virgil's car and you get the objective to head to Sweet Dee's Diner in South Brooke-Meyer.

Maggie May by Rod Stewart plays on the radio.

Stefani: I love this song.
Virgil: Me too.
Stefani: Do you, really?
Virgil: Of course. It's a great summer song.
Stefani: Yeah, it is.
Virgil: But I'm more of a Neil Diamond person.
Stefani: Really? Oh my goodness.
Virgil: What?
Stefani: I actually love Neil Diamond. He's my favorite.
Virgil: Then it looks like we're gonna get along pretty well.
Stefani: Yes, it does.

Once you arrive at the diner, the two will be seated in a booth and are served coffee. They sit quietly while they drink their coffee for a brief moment. Virgil breaks the silence.

Virgil: Is your coffee good?
Stefani: Yeah, it is. Thank you.

The silence continues.

Virgil: Okay.
Stefani: What is it?
Virgil: We just had a full conversation in the car about music, and here we are at the diner and we're not talking.
Stefani: I'm sorry. I'm just a little nervous.
Virgil: Well you don't have to be. I'm nervous too. The fact that you actually agreed to spend time with me, I still can't believe it.
Stefani: Well that's certainly a surprise.
Virgil: Why's that?
Stefani: Well, after the night we first met, I thought that I was just a quick at-bat to you. I'm really not that way. I don't know. I felt safe with you, like I could trust you, I don't know why.
Virgil: Well, this may not sound believable, at least right way, but you can trust me. I mean, after a crazy night like that and here we are having a mug, that's gotta count for something.
Stefani: I guess so.
Virgil: So let's start over. I'm Virgilio Alberto Assante. You can, of course, call me Virgil.
Stefani: I'm Stefania Madonna Ferlito from Henderson, Ohio. You can call me Stefani.
Virgil: No sh*t, Henderson. That's pretty cool.
Stefani: It's okay, I guess. Where you from?
Virgil: I'm from here. Good ol' Brooke-Meyer.
Stefani: Local boy, huh?
Virgil: Damn right. So if you don't mind me asking, what brings you to the Brooke?
Stefani: Well a couple of years ago, Nancy and I were actually planning on moving to Lenapia.
Virgil: Why?
Stefani: Nancy is from Lenny. She moved to Henderson in '64 I think, to get away from her crazy family.
Virgil: So I'm guessing she wanted to move back 'cause she got homesick.
Stefani: At first.
Virgil: What do you mean?
Stefani: We made it to Lenny in '69 and stayed for maybe three months.
Virgil: What happened?
Stefani: I honestly don't know. I remember Nancy getting dropped off by someone driving like a bat out of Hell. She rushed upstairs and told me we had to go. I'm asking why but she wouldn't tell me.

Virgil: Jesus...

Stefani: She was covered in blood, I remember. I never saw her so scared. So we left Lenny and here we are.

Virgil: Sounds like a Saturday night with Paul.

Stefani: Speaking of Paul, how was he growing up?

Virgil: Oh man, where to begin... Me and Paul been friends since we was five. We been through everything, me and him. He uh, lost his father when he was twelve and his mother, well, she left.

Stefani: Oh God. She just left? Why?

Virgil: People say it's 'cause she got in trouble with some very bad people. She packed all her things and got the Hell out of dodge, leaving Paul all alone. He had nowhere to go, so I took him in. My parents raised him and he's been my brother ever since.

Stefani: That's nice. I like Paul. He's a joker.

Virgil: Oh yeah, you'll never find anyone with a sick sense of humor like his.

The two laugh and continue drinking their coffee. As time fast forwards, the diner's customer count would fluctuate from empty to full throughout the next few hours. Virgil and Stefani remain in their booth, talking non-stop. Enjoying each others company. They finally decide to leave the diner. As they stand outside, Virgil reaches into his jacket and takes out a cigarette and lights it. He shares it with Stefani. The most noticeable indication of their feelings for each other lies in their stares and smiles they share once they do.

Virgil: I feel like I should say something right now.
Stefani: Like what?
Virgil: I don't know. But I do know I wanna kiss you.
Stefani: Then what are you waiting for?

Virgil and Stefani share a very intimate kiss outside the diner until they get interrupted by a strange voice from behind Virgil-

"Well ain't this a thing of beauty."

Stefani notices the person instantly and her eyes become wide-open in a surprised manner. Virgil turns around and also notices the person and takes offense to his interruption.

Voice: You two seem to be liking each other quite a bit, huh?
Virgil: Marco "The Ratfink" Giancarlo.
Marco: Oh, that hurts, Gilly. That really hurts. But I'm the one that should be hurting you.
Virgil: Try it, A**hole.
Marco: Be patient. You've only been making out with my girlfriend, is all.
Stefani: Ex.
Marco: And she admits it. Bet you didn't know that, huh Gilly?

Virgil turns to look at Stefani in disappointment.

Virgil: You were with him?
Stefani: That's ancient history. We broke up a year ago.
Marco: Uh, six months ago actually.
Virgil: F*ck you, Marco!
Marco: Touchy.
Stefani: It doesn't matter, Virgil. I like you and I want you. Why let this change things between us?
Virgil: I hate this rat-face F*ck with a passion.
Marco: Standing right here, Gilly. You can always tell me to my face.

Virgil turns around and walks aggressively towards Marco only to be pulled back by Stefani.

Stefani: Virgil, don't! It's exactly what he wants.
Marco: Come on, Gilly. I know you wanna take a shot.
Virgil: Let me go so I can kill him.
Marco: Attaboy, come here and kill me
Stefani: Virgil, please. Don't do this. I know exactly what he's doing. Trust me, you don't wanna hurt him.
Marco: Come on, Gilly. I'm waiting.

Virgil closes his eyes and takes a deep breath to reclaim his calmness.

Virgil: You should thank her, Marco. You get to live another day.
Marco: The infamous Virgil Ass-Eater backs down from a fight with Marco "The Champ" Giancarlo. Next time it'll be, Ass-Eater.

Marco walks away with a cunning smile on his face and enters the diner where two men in suits were standing behind the entrance. Virgil and Stefani get in the car and drive away. The entire ride is spent in a very tense silence. Virgil will startle Stefani when he begins raging and continuously punching the steering wheel while screaming-

"F*CK! F*CK! F*CK!"

Virgil will drive to Stefani's house and drop her off. Before exiting the vehicle, Stefani stays to speak with Virgil first.

"Look, I'll understand if you don't wanna see me ever again. I didn't know you and Marco had bad blood. I really am so-"

Before Stefani can finish the sentence, Virgil quickly goes up and kisses her.

Virgil: You don't gotta apologize. I'm sorry I raged like that.
Stefani: So everything's okay?
Virgil: For now.
Stefani: [Relieved] Thank God.
Virgil: Can I ask you something?
Stefani: Sure.
Virgil: Why wouldn't you let me hit him?
Stefani: Because, he's a Made Guy.
Virgil: What? Made?
Stefani: Yeah. You can't touch guys like him. That would mark your death sentence real quick.
Virgil: Made. I'll be goddamned.
Stefani: When we dated, he always acted like he was more superior than everyone else. I hated it. Not to mention the fact I barely saw him. he would be in Lenapia majority of the time.
Virgil: Guessing that's where he got made then.
Stefani: Yep.
Virgil: Guess I owe you my life. How can I repay you?
Stefani: Why don't you come in and I'll tell you.

The two will exit the car and make their way towards the house. Virgil gets interrupted by a car honking its horn continuously to get his attention. He realizes it's Paul in a Dundreary Brigand.

Virgil: Paul, when did you get back?
Paul: Just a couple of hours ago. Hey, Blondie. Looking good.

Paul will get out and signals Virgil to go towards him.

Virgil: What's up?
Paul: Got a job.
Virgil: Really? Right now?

Paul: Yep.

Virgil: But...
Paul: I know you was gonna get some yams but we gotta do this. You can come back.

Virgil goes back to Stefani-

"I gotta go. But I'll be right back. Just gotta handle something. Okay?"

Stefani kisses Virgil-

"Just be careful. I'll be here waiting."

Virgil enters Paul's vehicle and drives away.

Paul: You drive. I just drove seven hours straight.
Virgil: Where we going?
Paul: Kenzie Park. Step on it

Virgil: Okay. Where did you get this car? It's b*tching.
Paul: Just bought it yesterday in Henderson.
Virgil: Meaning I can keep your car?
Paul: Of course. It's practically yours anyway, Bud.
Virgil: Wow, thanks Paul.
Paul: No problem, V. By the by, how's your baseball swing?
Virgil: That a real question?
Paul: Well let's just say, this job may require you to bash in some skulls with a wooden bat. Emphasis on "may."
Virgil: My swing's pretty good.

Paul: Good. Okay, so here's the low-down. Ruben, You remember Ruben? [Virgil: Yeah.] Well, he's been having trouble getting his bookie business back the way it was. He's getting harassed by some Polaks from Arborton working for some outfit in Lenapia.
Virgil: Lenapia, huh?
Paul: Yeah. What?
Virgil: Nothing, just... Actually, listen. I took Stefani out for a mug at the diner.
Paul: Okay.
Virgil: And everything was going fantastic. Until I saw that c*cksucker Marco Giancarlo. You remember him?
Paul: As much as I hate remembering him, yes, I remember him.
Virgil: Well apparently, he and Stef used to date. And he was acting the same exact way as before, pissing me off. I wanted to sock him dead in his ratfink face.
Paul: He's Made, though. You can't touch him.
Virgil: You knew too?
Paul: Everyone in the Brooke knew. He threw a big celebration in La Isabella. I went to f*ck his sister. Ended up f*cking his mother. She still got that swagger about her.
Virgil: You're sick.
Paul: And don't I know it. Anyway, you're pissed. This is good. It means you can use that to politely hit home-runs off some Polaks head. Whaddya say?
Virgil: Sounds very therapeutic.
Paul: It is.
Virgil: I was being sarcastic.
Paul: Oh... F*ck you.

Once you arrive at Kenzie Park and park, Paul will point out the group of six Polish gangsters and reaches for two wooden baseball bats from the back seat and hands one to Virgil.

Paul: Okay, you see that group of Polak a**holes over there?
Virgil: Yeah.
Paul: We gonna head over there and f*ck them up. Questions?
Virgil: Nope.
Paul: You sure?
Virgil: Yeah.
Paul: Now I got a question.
Virgil: No time, let's rage.
Paul: Uh, okay.

Virgil and Paul make a bee line towards the group tightly gripping their bats. Paul taunts the group-

"Hey A**hole's. Why did the Polak cross the road? He couldn't get his dick out of the chicken."

The group charges at Virgil and Paul and they commence fighting. You must time your attack and counter in order to hit combo's that increase damages towards your opponent. Virgil was trained in hand-to-hand combat in the military. His fighting moves, once they are timed perfectly, can bring down up to three opponents at one time. Similar to the fighting mechanic from The Warrior's. Virgil will have a Rage Mode which, once activated, can increase his strength and resistance to hits. Once all six men are down, you and Paul walk away towards Pauls' vehicle.

Paul: That was fun as f*ck.
Virgil: I'm not gonna lie, it felt good.
Paul: See, it is theraputic. In a sadistic and criminal way.
Virgil: I'll keep that in mind.

Paul will notice a white Enus Cognoscenti parked not far from his vehicle. He and Virgil walk towards it. The back window will roll down revealing Ruben.

Paul: Ruben, hey.
Ruben: Hey, Paul. I see you put on quite a show there.
Paul: Here's hoping Vinewood catches on.
Ruben: Those men you two messed up, had it coming. But I know these Polak's ain't gonna stop but at least they'll get this message.
Virgil: Hopefully you find our work to your liking.
Ruben: Oh I do, Virgil. Anyway, here's your pay.

Ruben hands Paul and Virgil each with an envelope filled with money.

Ruben: Hope you find your pay more than enough.
Paul: Oh, it's definitely more.
Ruben: Good. Paul I need you to do some security work tomorrow at The Cabaret. Got a very important client coming by and I want security beefed up.

Paul: Understood.

Ruben: And as for you Virgil, good job. I'll be expecting a visit from you soon, yeah?
Virgil: Yes, Mr. Nebish. Thank you.
Ruben: You boys take care.

Ruben will order his driver to drive away.

Paul: Alright. You just made a connection. And a great one at that.
Virgil: This job keeps getting interesting.
Paul: Told you, it's f*cking b*tching,
Virgil: So what it is you do in Henderson?
Paul: Oh look at the time, time to get some yams. I'll see ya around, Buddy.
Virgil: Such a dick-head.

Mission 6: In and Out - July 17th, 1971

In order to commence your next mission, you must head home and answer your phone.

Once you pick up-

Virgil: Hello?

Voice: Hey Virgil, whaddya say?

Virgil: Hey Philly, what's going on?

Phil: Nothing much. Got something going on here in Arborton and I'm missing one guy so, I thought of you. Whaddya say?

Virgil: I don't know, Philly. What's the thing exactly?

Phil: It's the type of thing that I can't really explain over the phone. But look, all you'll be doing is driving and that's it. Easy as can be.

Virgil: Just driving?

Phil: Just driving.

Virgil: Okay, I'm in. Where do I meet you?

Phil: First and foremost, I need you to pick up a truck over at Rich's Garage in Romero. Figured since you're closer, I could ask you to get it. That other douchebag whose missing was suppose to get it.

Virgil: What kind of truck?

Phil: A Boxville Mario's friend is lending me. Tell him you're Mario's friend and he'll give you the keys. Then I need you to hit I-18 and head straight to Arborton. Meet me over at the storage lot by Jenni's.

Virgil: Alright, I could do that.

Phil: Sweet! Alright, see you in a bit, Bud.

You are now given an objective to head to Rich Rastagano's  Chop Shop in Romero .

Once you arrive, you will notice Mario's car  parked in front of the garage. There is someone  sitting in the passenger seat who seems to be waiting for Mario. You hear a door opening and upon gazing the entrance to the office, you see Mario  and Rich saying their goodbyes as Mario walks away. He will notice you right away-

Mario: Hey Virgil. Wasn't expecting you here. How you doing?

Virgil: I'm doing good. Just picking up a truck for Philly.

Mario: A truck for Philly? Wait, don't tell me you're doing that f*cked up job for him.

Virgil: I mean, I guess. He didn't really tell me what the job is, just driving he said

Mario: Well, Philly and his Wino Uncle are gonna pull off some Slicks in Arborton. He probably called you because his driver pussied out.

Virgil: Is it risky?

Mario: I say it is. With all the sh*t Phil's been getting into lately, you never know. Take a cannon with you just in case.

Virgil: I mean, I could use the money, y'know?

Mario: Well then, come with me. There's someone I want you to meet.

Mario will take Virgil to his car to meet the gentleman sitting in the passenger seat.

Mario: Virgil, I want you to meet Bobby Manganelli, Attorney at Law. Bobby, this is Virgil Assante, my best friend. Came back from 'Nam about a month ago. Been doing work for the Jew since then.

Virgil: Wait, what the f*ck. You telling my life story to a lawyer? You out of your mind?

Mario: Relax V, he ain't your ordinary lawyer.

Bobby: He's right. I'm a person with more connections than a phone company. The whole lawyer thing is for show. Trust me. Where do you live?

Virgil: Brooke-Meyer.

Bobby: Well, if you find yourself in Romero after today, get Mario to set up a meeting between you and me. I always got work.

Virgil: Okay. Thank you, Mr. Manganelli.

Bobby: No problem.

Virgil: Well look, I gotta go. But it was great seeing you, Mario.

Mario: Right back at 'cha. Let's all link up soon.

Now you may walk to the office and speak with Rich.

Virgil: Hey Rich.

Rich: Hey ummm, Victor, right?

Virgil: It's Virgil. Virgil Assante-

Rich: Hey, whatever helps you sleep at night. So what do you need?

Virgil: I'm Mario's friend. Picking up a truck.

Rich: What truck?

Virgil: What do you mean, what truck? The truck that's for Mario's friend, which is me.

Rich: I don't know what you're talking about, Buddy.

Virgil: It's a Boxville . There is a Boxville in your lot. There's no other garage in this town that has a Boxville in their lot. You're the only one. So I'm certain that's the truck I'm here to pick up. So can you please throw me the keys?

Rich: I don't see a truck out there.

Virgil: You gotta be... You're meaning to tell... I need that truck.

Rich: What truck?

Virgil: The f*cking black Boxville!

Rich: Alright! I was just breaking balls. You take sh*t a little too serious. Anyway, here's the keys. Do me a favor and don't bring that truck back here again. Okay?

Virgil: Fine.

You will grab the keys and get in the Boxville. Remember, this a heavy vehicle. So watch your speed as you're turning. And don't worry about your car, it will spawn back at your safehouse in Brooke-Meyer. Now once you are ready to hit the road, make your way to I-18 South. Watch your speed and your maneuvering, I-18 is infested with cops every mile. You are going to take exit 145 to West Arborton. Once you are off the ramp, your destination is just a few miles down the road. Once you arrive at the storage lot, Phil, along with two others, will be there already ina Albany Emperor. They will exit the vehicle once you have exited the Boxville. Phil will walk up to you-

Phil: Hey, man. Glad you made it okay. Come on, let me introduce you to the crew. This big handsome mistake is Ben Queenan. Everyone calls him Hamfist or Hammy, for the love of God, don't ask why. And this string bean is Scar Berkery. You can tell why they call him that [Pointing out Berkery's scar right under his right eye] This is Virgil Assante, my best friend from Brooke-Meyer.

Hamfist: Hey.

Scar: How you doing.

Virgil: Hey guys.

Phil: Alright, now we're all friends. Let's end this circle-jerk and get out of here. We're taking the truck. Let's go.

Everyone hops in the truck.

Virgil: Where to?

Phil: The junkyard.

Virgil: Okay. Mind telling me what job we're doing?

Phil: Alright. When the clock strikes midnight, we are gonna hit the night market. A list of cars that my Uncle Mickey needs to sell. Should be easy money.

Virgil: Why use the truck if we're just boosting cars?

Phil: I don't know. Mickey said we needed it.

Virgil: That doesn't help, but, whatever.

The junkyard is located at the far east region of Arborton. You will need to pay a toll of $5 to enter without a wanted level. Once you are in, follow the dirt path that will lead you to a small warehouse  in the center of the junkyard, surrounded by towers of crushed vehicles and scrap metal. Enter through the side entrance and you will notice the lack of lighting throughout the warehouse. Look ahead and you will see a single one-bulb-light above a roundtable flickering on and off very sporadically. Standing next to the table is a man with his back facing you, he lifts his arm, clutching a bottle of whiskey, and takes in a massive gulp. Phil will call out his name-

"Uncle Mickey!"

He turns around-

Mickey: Hey Nephew. Glad you could make it.

Phil: No problem. You remember Virgil, right? From the Brooke.

Mickey: Of course, Army boy. How are ya, Bud?

Virgil: I'm good, Mick. It's good seeing you. Last time I saw you, it was through a glass window and phone in Ritter Prison. When did you get out?

Mickey: I got out about a month after you left to kill them dog-eating-commie-pricks. Been working on the low since then.

Virgil: That's good.

Mickey: Yeah. Anyway, I assume you're here to help out Philly with this job, right?

Virgil: That's right.

Mickey: Alright! This is great news. We need a man with your caliber on this job. Let's dive on in then.

Mickey unfolds a map with Arborton circled and multiple red dots across the region.

Mickey: The Night Market is on tonight, and we got a shopping list. It's small but we're looking at a good payday if we do this right. Now, my guys in Lenapia need these particular cars because they can move them quickly without any unwanted attention. It's three cars. Nothing fancy, but definitely valuable. The first one is Albany Cosa  located on James and 5th, owned by a jewel guy who ripped off the wrong people. The second is a cherry Bravado Cargador with a V8 engine that purrs like a drunk Lilly in Mardi Gras. That's on 15th Street by Vic's Garage. Belongs to a San Fierro man, no need to worry about him. And last but not least, an Annis 570Z. A Jap car with incredible speed and handling. That's in locked garage at 728 Pecora Drive in the west side by the cemetary. Any questions?

Scar: Yeah I got one. Why do we need the Boxville? If we're just boosting cars, we could've just cruised in a regular car. Brings less attention.

Mickey: The truck is used for something else. I'll be tagging along. Me, Scar, and Ham will boost the cars. Virgil, you'll be driving us to the cars locations. After we get all three cars, I need you and Philly to go to a house. When I say house, it's more like a Los Santos estate not far from here. It's on 17 Colbert Lane. What we want is not in the house, but in the garage in the back. You have to open it with a key which you have to get from inside the house. If I'm not mistaken, it's located in a nightstand on the master bedroom.

Virgil: You're kidding.

Phil: No he's not. The owner of that house stumbled upon a shipment of something valuable and stacked them in his garage. We get those boxes then we leave. Simple.

Mickey: That's right. Any more questions?

Everyone remains silent.

Mickey: Good. We'll wait til midnight then we hit the streets.

Time will fast-forward to midnight. The crew is now ready to commence. They all get in the truck and you are given the objective to head to either the Albany Cosa, the Bravado Cargador, or the Annis 570Z. They all must be hit first before hitting the mansion. During the drive to the first vehicle-

Mickey: So Virgil, how you holding up?

Virgil: Not bad.

Mickey: How about money-wise?

Virgil: I can't lie, it can be better. Been doing some work and they pay but I'm still sharing an apartment with my friend.

Mickey: Why don't you connect yourself with those Italians in Romero?

Virgil: Actually, I kinda already did. Just today while I was picking up the truck. I met this heavy-set guy named Bobby Manganelli. Says if I ever go back to Romero after today, to meet up with him.

Mickey: Bobby-f*cking-Manganelli. Play your cards right and he'll set you up for life.

Virgil: I hope.

If you went for the Albany Cosa first, Scar will exit the truck and go for it. You can now go to the next location. Either the Bravado Cargador or the Annis 570Z.

Phil: You know Mario is on the way of getting set up for life.

Virgil: Really? How do you know?

Phil: Well it's a wild guess. You see his house, his car, all the time he's spending in Romero with guys like Bobby Manganelli. Put two and two together.

Mickey: Yeah, but remember the only way in.

Phil: Oh I know he can do it.

Mickey: What about you, Virgil?

Virgil: What about me?

Phil: You know.

Virgil: No I don't. Care to elaborate?

Phil: Do you think you can point a gun at a man and pull the trigger, and feel nothing?

Virgil: What do you think, Philly?

Phil: I think you can. I think you can stare at the eyes of any man while he takes his last breath, and liking it. Like me. I have no problem jabbing a knife through someone's heart, shooting them in the head, burning their bodies. As long as it pays.

Virgil: Everyone has a price.

Phil: Some just genuinely enjoy it.

Virgil: ...You need to get laid.

If you went for the Bravado Cargador, Hamfist will go for it. Your next objective is now the last vehicle, which in this case, is the Annis 570Z.

Mickey: Okay boys, I'm up. The gate will be open at the junkyard so just pull right in and unload the boxes. Virgil, I need you to torch this truck away from the junkyard afterwards, okay?

Virgil: You got it.

Mickey: Okay. Now listen Philly, no bodies. Okay?

Phil: You ain't gotta worry about me.

Mickey: I do. But just promise me, no blood. I need this to be clean.

Phil: Okay, you got my word.

Mickey: Good.

Once you drop Mickey off at the last vehicle, make your way to the mansion. You will be on a time limit so be quick but careful. During the drive, you will notice Phil taking out a pistol and loading it.

Virgil: Did you not hear Mickey say no bodies?

Phil: Relax, this is just in case. I'd rather risk it all than being shot and killed in a slick. You should check yours.

Virgil: Check it for me.

Virgil hands the pistol to Phil and he loads it. Once you arrive the mansion , park the Boxville on the driveway in reverse near the garage.

Phil: Okay, here's what we're gonna do. You stand guard by the garage while I go inside and get the key. You hear anything unusual, rush in. Got it?

Virgil: Yeah, I got it.

Phil: Okay. When I get the key, I'm gonna throw it at you from the top window. You catch it and get that door open right away. Start loading the truck and I'll help as soon as I get out the house.

Virgil: And no bodies.

Phil: You're no fun, but fine.

Phil will make his way inside by entering through an open window. You must stand by the garage looking at the back second floor window, that's where Phil will throw you the keys. You only have about three hours until sunrise so as soon as Phil throws you the keys, get started on opening the garage door. Once you do, you will notice stacks of wooden boxes marked "Cubaney", a cigar company. The goal is to load 20 boxes unto the truck under the time limit. If you have time, you can load more which will give you a bigger reward. Once you are finished, close the garage door and disperse from the area.

Phil: Yeah, Baby! We did it. Clean and without a trace. He's gonna wake up to a surprise, that's for sure.

Virgil: Yeah, but, did we really get cigars?

Phil: Whaddya mean?

Virgil: The boxes are marked "Cubaney", that's a Cuban cigar company.

Phil: Well sh*t, pull over so we can check it out.

You can pull over anywhere. Phil will go in the back and open one of the boxes. He does, in fact, find cigars.

Phil: What in the f*ck.

Virgil: What?

Phil: F*cking cigars!

Virgil: The f*ck does Mickey want with a truck-full of cigars?

Phil looks deeper into the box and finds an entire layer at the bottom covered in a black rag. After he uncovers it, he discovers an entire Kilo of Heroin.

Phil: Oh sh*t. Virgil, you're gonna want to see this.

Virgil goes over-

"Jesus f*cking Christ. Is that what I think it is?"

Phil cuts a small incision into the pack and takes a small amount with his knife.

Phil: We just stole a f*ck-ton of Brown, V.

Virgil: Guess Mickey forgot to mention this sh*t. Who the f*ck did we steal from?

Phil: I don't know but we gotta got this to the junkyard now.

Virgil will take the wheel again. You must make your way to the warehouse in the junkyard. Once you arrive, the crew will be there already. Pull the truck in and exit. Virgil and Phil will approach Mickey.

Mickey: A job well done, boys.

Phil: What exactly were we stealing, Uncle Mick?

Mickey: Well, uh, cigars. Prime Cuban cigars that you all will be getting as a small reward before the actual reward.

Phil: You sure there isn't anything else in them boxes?

Mickey: Like what?

Phil: Oh I don't know, maybe uh, a huge pack of Heroin at the bottom?

Both Scar and Hamfist will look at Mickey with a blank expression.

Virgil: What exactly are you getting into, Mickey?

Mickey: Look boys what's done is done. Okay.

Phil: What ordinary man keeps about thirty kilos of Heroin in his garage, in f*cking Arborton!?

Mickey: Alright! I can see why you're a bit upset.

Scar: A bit?

Mickey: But the truth is, there is a huge market out there for this sh*t. The Polaks have been profiting from this ten-fold. We tried to be their friends and get in on this with them as partners, but they refused. So I said, f*ck it. We take it from them and sell it. They wouldn't dare jump off and attack. They're under enough bullsh*t as it is.

Virgil: So the Polaks are just gonna take this and do nothing? You honestly believe that?

Mickey: Yeah.

Hamfist: These Pierogi-eating-f*ckers are gonna be pissed the f*ck off when they find out it was us.

Mickey: Look, the job is done and that's all that matters. Let me deal with them. As soon as I flip all of this, you guys will get your cut. Until then, just stay away from Arborton until I tell you it's clear. That's it.

Everyone will walk out of the warehouse.

Phil: Sh*t is gonna get real ugly. Be prepared.

Virgil: What about you?

Phil: I'll be okay. I'm going straight to the Brooke, though. I'll see you there.

Virgil: Okay.

Your vehicle will spawn in front of the warehouse. You have completed the mission.

Mission 7: Welcome Home, Brother - June 25th, 1971

Weeks have past since the last mission. At your safehouse during the night, you will hear your phone ring. You pick up and it's Phil sounding rather intoxicated.

Virgil: Hello

Phil: [slurred] Hey Virgil.

Virgil: You okay, Philly?

Phil: Yeah, I'm good. Uh... Can you swing by my place? I need your help with something.

Virgil: Sure, no problem. You sure you okay?

Phil: ...

Virgil: Phil?

Phil: Oh, hey Virgil. How you doing?

Virgil: Oh my God, I'm coming over right now.

Phil: Good, 'cause I need your help with something.

Virgil: Bye, Phil.

You are given the objective to head to Phil's house. When you arrive and approach the front door, you notice it is ajar. You have your gun on hand and slowly advance forward. You can hear A Horse with No Name by America playing at maximum volume. It's coming from the living room. You go and notice the room is only dimly lit, all of the shades are down, and an ashtray full of half-smoked cigarettes placed on the coffee table. There is also one of the "Cubaney" cigar boxes from the last mission with an open pack of heroin. You notice Phil laying down on his couch, with his left arm tied and a used needle laying on the table along with three empty bottles of whiskey. You wake Phil up by giving him a hard smack across his face-

"Ah, what the f*ck!"

When he sees you in his intoxicated state, he slowly gets up speaking incoherently.

Phil: [slurred] What's up, Virgil. Glad you made it.

Virgil: What the f*ck, Phil? Is this really what you do in your free time? Killing yourself with this poison?

Phil: Don't judge me, V. Everyone has their escape. This is mine.

Virgil: Escape from what?

Phil: Our Demons.

Virgil: You're just inviting them into your house.

Phil: Besides [sniff] I don't do it a lot. I just baby-dose from time-to-time.

Virgil: That's how it f*cking starts. Eventually, you'll realize you can't stop because you feel like you need it.

Phil: Like with coke? 'cause I see it leaves no long-lasting effects on you or Paul.

Virgil: This ain't about me, Philly. This is next level sh*t. This is sure to kill you.

Phil: Life has already killed me. And the Angel of Death will come and claim me after I inflict damage upon a specific human being that will mark my end.

Virgil: Okay, that's it.

You grab Phil and throw him in the bathtub and fill it with cold water. Phil will attempt to get out of it but you must keep him down until he calms down and sobers up a bit. After some time has passed, he'll come to his senses.

Phil: You know, I really lost myself back there.

Virgil: No kidding. What were you thinking?

Phil: Liam.

Virgil: Liam? Your brother, Liam?

Phil: Yeah.

Virgil: What about him?

Phil: He's back in town.

Virgil: He is?

Phil: Yeah.

Virgil: Then why are you getting doped up?

Phil: You know Liam. He always thought he was better than me. Always puts me in the spotlight. I don't wanna deal with him sober.

Virgil: Look, Philly. He is your brother. The only blood relative you have that actually tries to connect with you. I don't hear Karen, Gordon, or Jimmy looking for you.

Phil: F*ck them. And f*ck Liam. He's the worse.

Virgil: So that's it? Just gonna stay here and hopefully overdose before seeing him?

Phil: Doesn't sound like a bad idea.

Virgil: Well I'm not letting you do that.

Phil: Then come with me.

Virgil: To where?

Phil: To see him. One of his old friends is throwing him a party over at Kennedy Plains. If you come with me, I'll feel better.

Virgil: [sighs] Fine.

Phil: Yes! Thank you, Virgil. I'll owe you one.

Virgil: Big time. Just get ready.

Phil: Alright.

Step outside and wait in your car. Phil will come out soon. When he does, he'll enter the car.

Virgil: Where at in Kennedy Plains?

Phil: Kaiser's Bar on Miner and Main.

You can start driving towards your objective. Jailhouse Radio will start playing A Horse with No Name and Phil will react-

"I love this f*cking song."

He'll sing to it. Keep in mind he is still under the influence of the heroin. Once you arrive at the bar, Phil will pull his pistol out and load it.

Virgil: What the f*ck are you doing?

Phil: Just in case.

Virgil: You are not taking that gun in there.

Phil: What if someone jumps off?

Virgil: Fight them. You should have no reason to shoot someone.

Phil: Don't be so sure.

Virgil: The gun stays in the car.

Phil: Then yours should too.

Virgil: Fine.

Both you and Phil will place the guns under the seats. You'll then get out and enter the bar. The bar is full of people but Phil points out his brother right away.

Phil: There he is. That loud-mouth over there.

Virgil: Oh wow, he really grew that beard.

Phil: I'm not ready.

Virgil: You're already here, Philly. I'm right behind you.

Phil will walk over to Liam who is at the end of the bar. He taps on his shoulder and gets his attention.

Liam: Philly?

Phil: Hey, Liam.

Liam: Brother! [The two have a hug] So glad you can make it. Hope everything's okay between us.

Phil: We'll see. By the way, you remember Virgil, right?

Liam: Oh yeah, of course, I do.

Virgil: Hey, Liam. How are you?

Liam: Virgil Assante, you're still hanging out with my kid brother? That's a big surprise.

Virgil: I see Phil as my little brother too.

Liam: Well that's good. How about we all have a drink.

Phil: Yeah sure.

Virgil: Alright.

Liam: Great. Hey Jack, a round of whiskey.

The bartender serves the drinks and everyone drinks them.

Liam: That is some good sh*t.

Virgil: Where did you go, again?

Liam: I went to the Motherland, Ireland. Helping out our brothers over in Belfast.

Virgil: That's quite a service.

Liam: Yeah. What about you, Virgil? How was 'Nam? You really gave it those commie-chinks, huh?

Virgil: That's, uh, classified.

Liam: Hey, your secret's safe with me. And what about you, Little Philly? Still hanging with our crazy Uncle.

Phil: Yeah, I am.

Liam: How did I know?

Phil: What?

Liam: I'm just kidding. Let's have another drink, huh?

Phil: Yeah, fine.

Liam: Virgil, you in?

Virgil: Yeah.

Liam: Alright. Here's to my brother, his best friend, and to all the single ladies in here.

They take the shots.

Liam: I missed you, Philly. I know you and me don't see eye-to-eye but you are my brother. Can we put aside all of our differences tonight, and drink the night away?

Phil: Yeah. Yeah, I'd love that.

Liam: Great! Jack, keep the drinks coming.

Time will fast forward to 2 am, closing time and there are only a handful of people still in the bar.

Liam: God, that is a dirty f*cking drink. You know, Philly. If there's one thing I regret, hear me out.

Phil: What is it?

Liam: It's the fact that you have turned out to be such a street f*ck up.

Phil: What?

Liam: I mean, you really think you're gonna get far working for Mickey? He'll just get you killed and no one will miss you.

Virgil: That's a bit too far, Liam.

Liam? What? I'm just saying it like it is. He's my brother, I can tell him anything if I want to.

Phil: I would be careful if I were you.

Virgil: We were having such a good night, let's not ruin that.

Liam: If I wanted to ruin his night I would tell him to give his dad a call.

Phil looks at Liam with eyes that only scream, rage.

Liam: What was it again? Found dead in a dumpster in Bullston, right?

Virgil: That's enough, Liam.

Phil: You know, Liam. You think you know me. You've been away so obviously, you didn't get the memo. I ain't that little boy the kids used to jump anymore. I'm someone who demands respect, and gets it one way or another. So before you say another word, think about that. The last person you wanna piss off right now is me. Trust me.

Liam: Whoa, I'm just being a Sly. Just having some fun with you. I don't see you for three years, just slying you up. Nothing personal. Sorry if I offended you, man.

Phil: Okay, I'll admit, I did take it a bit too far. I'm sorry. Really, I am.

Liam: Good. Now lets drink.

Liam takes another drink.

Liam: I also wanna apologize. I wanna apologize for the fact, you turned into a bigger f*ck up than your dead father.

Virgil: Jesus f*cking Christ, Liam. Really?

Phil puts his drink down, gets up and walks out the bar.

Virgil: I hope you're happy. A perfect night ruined by your bullsh*t. You don't ever change.

Liam: F*ck him! Let him take his medicine. I see the track marks on his arm. He's a low-life f*cking Junkie just like his father. F*ck him and f*ck you.

Virgil: How about I bash this f*cking bottle over your f*cking head?

Liam: Do it. I ain't scared of you, Guinea.

You will grab Liam but the rest of the men at the bar will get up and ready up to fight.

Virgil: So it's that kind of fight?

Liam: That's right, Wop.

Phil walks into the bar and walks towards Liam. You will notice Phil has his gun on hand. In a swift motion, Phil shoots his brother in the chest multiple times, until he empties the clip. Phil has a blank look on his face. Almost as if he feels nothing after murdering his own flesh and blood. The other men have cleared the bar after the first shot. You stare at Liam's dead body and Phil just standing over him.

Virgil: Phil... You do realize what you just did, right?

Phil: Yeah. We should get him in the trunk. I know a good spot to bury him.

You notice the bartender reaching for the phone. You react by going to him, grabbing him, and punching him until he falls to the ground.

"What did you see?"

You will continue to kick him until he response-

"Nothing. I didn't see anything."

You stop and help Phil get Liam's corpse to the trunk of your car. Once you are done, you get in and drive away.

Virgil: Where we going?

Phil: You know Pete Zimmerman?

Virgil: Yeah?

Phil: Head over to his place to pick up some shovels.

Virgil: We're not gonna talk about this ever.

Phil: Agreed.

Virgil: Good.

You'll reach Zimmerman's residence and Phil will go in and grab a couple of shovels. He'll return to the car.

Phil: Alright, now head to the old hospital on Locust. There should be a dirt road we can take.

Virgil: We're gonna bury him at the old cemetery, aren't we?

Phil: Yeah.

At the far west of Kennedy Plains is the old abandoned mental asylum that has a field of unmarked graves where many have been buried even after the asylum closed. Once you arrive and find a spot, you get Liam's dead body out of the trunk and place him on the ground as you and Phil begin digging his grave.

Virgil: You're not at all worried about your family asking about him?

Phil: No. I'm sure they didn't even know he came back from Ireland. We'll be fine.

Virgil: Okay look. There has to be an actual reason you killed your own brother. Not because he pissed you off.

Phil: There is. I'm just not gonna say it.

Virgil: It's not like it matters now.

Phil: It doesn't. Just keep digging.

Once Phil feels the hole is enough-

"That should be good. Roll him in here."

You push Liam's body into the hole. Phil gets up close to Liam's dead face-

"See you in Hell, Brother"

Phil will get out of the hole and you two grab shovels and start filling the grave in. Phil will also throw the gun in the grave as well. Once the hole is filled in, a sudden rainstorm commences and you and Phil rush to the car.

Virgil: If I was a superstitious man, I would say we've pissed someone off burying your brother here.

Phil: F*ck them.

Virgil: Good luck with that. So, where you trying to go?

Phil: Can you drop me off over at Zimmerman's? I'm gonna crash there tonight.

Virgil: Alright. Your not gonna use that sh*t again, are you?

Phil: I can't lie. Yeah, I am. But this is my life, I'd really appreciate if you didn't butt in. I'm probably gonna die soon anyway so it wouldn't make any difference.

Virgil: You seem so sure.

Phil: I am. Old Man Sullivan from down the street used to say "If it starts raining at midnight of your birthday, you're gonna die soon."

Virgil: And did it rain?

Phil: It rained hail. Windshields and windows were cracked to sh*t. I just got to a point where I didn't care anymore. After Mom died last year, that was it for me.

Virgil: So you don't care about killing your own brother?

Phil: Trust me, V. He would've killed me if he had the chance.

Virgil: What do you mean?

Phil: I can't talk about it. Just know, it was either him or me. So it might as well be him.

Virgil: Whatever you say, Philly.

Once you arrive at Zimmerman's residence-

Virgil: Don't overdo it. Okay?

Phil: I won't. By the way, here take this.

Phil hands you an envelope.

Phil: This was on him. Might as well give it to you.

Virgil: Thanks.

Phil: Take it easy, V. Might wanna clean and disinfect that trunk. And get rid of those clothes.

Flashback Mission

This is only a cutscene showing the strained relationship between Phil and his older brother, Liam.

Flashback Mission 1: The Cost for a Cause - November 3rd, 1968

This will take you back to Fall of '68 in Brooke-Meyer. The location is an empty warehouse where the Pisswasser Beer Factory now resides. We see 18-year-old Phil Costigan alongside 28-year-old Liam Niel and 39-year-old Mickey Costigan. Standing in the center of the warehouse waiting for someone.

Phil: The f*ck are we waiting for?

Liam: We told you already. Our brothers from the old country

Phil: They ain't my brothers.

Mickey: Regardless, we're looking at a good payday giving these f*ckers guns.

Liam: Don't call them that, Mick. They're fighting for a good reason. Independence from the oppressive United Kingdom.

Phil: Spoken like a true American idiot.

Mickey: Both of yous shut up. Now, Philly, you got the merchandise. Liam, you're security. Simple set-up. Should be no crossings.

Liam: That means no running, Philly.

Phil: F*ck you, Liam.

Mickey: Shut the f*ck up, the both of yous. Here they come.

Four men enter the warehouse and walk towards the trio carrying duffle bags and a briefcase.

Mickey: How you doing, Kieran?

Kieran: [irish Accent] I'm good. Bout ye, Lad?

Mickey: I could complain but who would listen? Anyway, like you, I brought security with me. Hope you understand. Times are tough around these parts.

Kieran: I understand fully, Mickey. To business then?

Mickey: To business. Now, I have for you a total of twenty M12's, twenty PK61's, twenty Cassidy 862's, and I threw in five Bekowsky Model 69's free of charge. All like you ordered.

Hugh: [irish Accent] That sounds great to me, Kieran. I'm up to high doh'.

Mickey: Whatever that means, I'm sure that's good news.

Kieran: Oh it is, Mickey. We're happy.

Mickey: Excellent. Now we did agree upon ten-thousand for the Rifles, seven-thousand for the PK's, and eight-thousand for the shotguns. Totaling-

Kieran: Twenty-five-thousand-dollars.

Mickey: That sounds about right.

Kieran: The people of Northern Ireland thanks you for your service, Mickey.

Mickey: I'm happy I can help with your cause. Now the merchandise is in the crate behind us. Philly, open the crate, will ya?

Phil takes a crowbar and opens the wooden crate, revealing the weapons neatly organized.

Kieran: You've out-done yourself, Mickey.

Mickey: The American Dream is all about aspirations and progression.

Kieran: Pay the man, Hugh.

Hugh hands Mickey the briefcase. Mickey opens it right away only to discover, it's empty.

Mickey: What the f*ck is this, Kieran?

Kieran: Sorry, Mickey. But like you said-

Hugh and the others pull out shotguns from the duffle bags and point them at Mickey, Phil, and Liam.

Kieran: These are tough times.

Mickey: You really think you're gonna live after f*cking with me?

Kieran: I guess we'll find out, won't we?

In a fast motion, Liam dives and runs towards a door to the side. The shooting starts, Mickey takes cover behind the gun crate and shoots back using a rifle. Phil takes cover behind another crate next to the gun crate. Mickey throws Phil a PK61 to shoot back. The firefight goes on for a few minutes until Mickey and Phil kill Kieran's three men.

Mickey: Philly! Go find Liam. He might be in trouble.

Phil: Alright.

Phil runs through the warehouse looking for Liam. He finds him in an old office, talking to Kieran. Phil hides behind a wall by the doorway.

Kieran: The shooting stopped. They're done.

Liam: I hope so. You going out there to check?

Kieran: Yeah. Once I regroup with my men, we'll be leaving. Understood?

Liam: Yeah, no problem. Can I have my cut?

Kieran: Ten-thousand, a fake passport, and a ticket to Belfast International for 4 AM. Too bad your brother can't come.

Liam: He was gonna die anyway. I'm just doing the world a favor.

Kieran: Well then, okay. I'll see you in Ireland.

Liam: You bet.

Kieran walks towards the doorway, Phil takes out his knife. Once Kieran gets close, Phil grabs him and holds the knife to his neck. Liam turns around and reacts by taking his gun out and pointing it at Phil.

Phil: You really think I can die that easy? You need to do better than that, Brother.

Kieran: How are you still alive?

Phil: Why don't you ask your boys. Oh wait, they're dead.

Liam: Let him go, Philly. This is for a good cause.

Phil: F*ck you and your cause. Here's my cause, you f*ck with me, you die.

Liam: I'm sorry, Phil. You'll understand in the future.

Phil: Oh yeah? Well, try to understand this.

Phil slits Kieran's throat. Liam shoots Phil in the arm and runs away. That is last time Phil and Mickey sees him until his return in 1971.

June 21st, 1971

21-year-old Phil is at home and his phone rings.

Phil: Hello?

Mickey: Did you hear?

Phil: About what?

Mickey: Your brothers coming home.

Phil: ...You're f*cking with me.

Mickey: I'm not. He's flying in tomorrow. His old friends are gonna throw him a party over at Kaiser's. If you want, I can someone else to do it-

Phil: No, I got it.

Mickey: You sure?

Phil: Yeah. I'm sure.

Mickey: Well good. Head to Petey's when you're done.

Phil: No problem.

Mickey: Good luck, Nephew.

Phil hangs up. He sits on his couch in silence, thinking. He looks over at the cigar box. He gets up and opens it. Takes out all of the cigars and gets to the hidden heroin package at the bottom. He prepares himself to shoot up, but he puts on a record before he does. Once his favorite "America" record begins playing, he injects the heroin into his arm, then lays down and closes his eyes.

Flashback Mission Complete

After you complete the mission, time will automatically forward to June 29th. There will be a newspaper placed on your dining table that you can pick up and read. Each newspaper placed there will be only mob-related news across America. Once they are read, they will be placed in a shelf that you can access to anytime.

United Liberty Times: Italian-American Rally ends with Ancelotti Shot
By Matthew Birkbeck
June 29, 1971

On the sunny day on June 28th, 1971, thousands of Italian-American spectators were present to help support their civil rights as Americans. Last year, it was prosperous with only half the numbers. Endless screams of equality and fairness for the Italian-Americans. This year, before it can even begin, Alphonse Guiseppe Ancelotti, the founder of this civil movement, was shot by 25-year-old black man, Raymond Miles, of 88 Mahesh Avenue in Alderney City, AD.

With little-to-no reports on Ancelotti's status, we can, in fact, confirm that he is still alive and under intensive care.

Witnesses say that Alphonse Ancelotti was greeting everyone in the rally. And that a black woman posing as Press, alongside her cameraman [Raymond Miles] approached him and and greeted him. As Ancelotti was posing for a picture for the supposed newspaper the assailants claimed they worked for, Raymond Miles dropped the camera, wielded a 38.-caliber-pistol, and shot Ancelotti twice in the chest. As Miles was escaping, he was shot down by unknown gunmen.

Ancelotti was rushed to the Schottler Medical Center but was transferred to an undisclosed medical center in Upstate Liberty.

Alphonse Ancelotti was believed to be the head of a Broker-based mafia family. Which led Police to believe that this was a planned assassination by other Mafia Families throughout Liberty City. Salvatore "Sal Bananas" Sica, who is a known Broker mobster, and Santino "Sonny" Cangelosi, who is the head of another Mafia Family out of Dukes, were picked up by police this morning for questioning. Because of their feud with Ancelotti, they were believed to be the conspirators behind the shooting. Although nothing has been confirmed.

To everyone, Ancelotti was just your regular joe who owned a bakery on Iroquios Avenue as well as a popular authentic Italian restaurant on Mohawk Avenue. He frequented the Capital Theatre on Tulsa Street and had a love for Opera.

Regardless of the accusation's of his involvement in organized crime, he was still considered a pillar of the community and his followers will continue to support him.

MISSION 8: Vengeance over Independence - July 4th, 1971 - Phil Costigan

This mission will appear after some time has passed after the previous mission. Explore the city and complete side-missions to keep you occupied. Once it is time to commence, a PC mission indicator will appear on your map, taking you to the nearest phone you can access.

It is Independence Day. The city of Brooke-Meyer is festive with music, American flags, barbeque's, and fireworks. Feel free to partake in the activities. But you must start the mission between 6pm and 8pm.

Virgil will call Phil's home phone, Mickey picks up instead.

Mickey: Hello?
Virgil: Mickey? Where's Phil?
Mickey: Oh, Hi Mickey, how are ya? I'm fine Virgil thanks for your concern, you f*ck.
Virgil: Hi, Mickey, how are ya? Where the f*ck is Phil?
Mickey: Your friend, my psychotic nephew, has been hiding over at Zim's house for the last two weeks.
Virgil: Why?
Mickey: You really think I'm gonna tell you over the phone? You wanna find him, he'll be shooting up over at that bastards house.
Virgil: You shouldn't talk, Mick. I could play connect the dots with all the puncture wounds you have. I'll see ya.

After the phone call, you must make your way to Kennedy Plains to Pete Zimmerman's residence. Upon arrival, you'll notice Pete loading a shotgun on his front porch.

Pete: Hey, V.
Virgil: What the f*ck is wrong with you? You think it's a genius idea to be doing that in public?
Pete:  It's my house. My private property. Everyone else can go f*ck themselves.
Virgil: How charming. Phil in there?
Pete: In the garage.

Virgil goes to the garage where he'll find Phil loading small cardboard boxes into the trunk of a Barbican Monitor. Phil is now speaking very rapidly almost like he's panicked.

Virgil: Yo, Philly.
Phil:  V! I'm glad you're here.
Virgil: Yeah, no problem. I just wanted to check up on you. Everything okay?
Phil: No. Everything is not okay. Everything is f*cked!
Virgil: What's going on?
Phil: It's all Liam's fault. If he wasn't such a dick, I wouldn't have to kill him!
Virgil: You on that sh*t again?
Phil:  No. Coke. Gets me a bit... energetic.
Virgil:  So you not gonna tell me what's going on?
Phil: Only if you come with me.
Virgil: Where?
Phil: I'll tell you on the way. Just say yes, and we can get going and I'll inform you of everything that's going on. There's money in it.
Virgil: How much?
Phil: I don't know, but I know it'll be a good payday. Come on, whaddya say?
Virgil:  ...Alright fine.
Phil:  Yes! I knew I could count on you, you beautiful dago prick. Wait here. I'll be right back.

Phil goes outside and comes back with Pete Zimmerman who has his shotgun loaded.

Pete: Alright, let's do this.
Virgil: Pete's going?
Phil: Yeah. For protection.
Virgil: Protection from what? Toothless hookers?
Pete: If only.
Phil: Don't worry, V. Trust me. Okay?
Virgil: Okay.
Phil: Good. Now here's the plan gentlemen. Pete, you're driving the Monitor. Please be careful, alright?
Pete: Got it.
Phil:  V, you and me will go in your car following Pete. We're going to the Arborton Junkyard to simply drop this car off. Should be no problem. Questions?
Virgil: Who we doing this for?
Phil: No one. This is strictly for the guys. Got it?
Pete: Yep.
Virgil: Yeah.
Phil: Great! Let's roll out.

Pete will enter the Monitor and pull out, Virgil and Phil will enter your vehicle and you must begin following Pete. Don't get too far or you'll lose him.

Phil:  Stay close to Pete. Don't want him to get pulled over.
Virgil: So what's in the trunk?
Phil: What?
Virgil: I saw you put boxes in the trunk.
Phil: Oh yeah, those... those are presents.
Virgil: For who?
Phil: Liams [Mock Irish Accent] Brothers from Belfast.
Virgil: What? They're here?
Phil: Yep. They didn't like the fact that my back-stabbing brother was murdered here. They're looking for the man responsible.
Virgil: How did they find out anyways? I don't think people in that bar knew any IRA people in Ireland. And we buried him too. So how did they find out?
Phil: I may, or may have not, sent a nice letter of condolences stating I pumped ten bullets into Liam's torso and I buried him deep in the soft ground of Northeast New Sylvania. And if they wanna avenge his death, to come f*cking find me!
Virgil: You f*cking idiot! You taunted the IRA?
Phil: Yeah. Bunch of f*cking pussies.
Virgil: They sent out, I don't know how many men out here to find you. Wouldn't exactly call them pussies.
Phil: Just listen, V. They are all at the warehouse in the Junkyard. All we're gonna do is swing by, and offer them a parlay.
Virgil: Such as?
Phil: I'm offering them eight boxes filled with good American heroin. Something to help finance their cause.
Virgil: Oh wow. I wasn't expecting that at all.
Phil: Gotta take the easy way with these guys. Taking them head-on is suicide.
Virgil: Finally, some sense.

Once you arrive at the junkyard, you'll be instructed to park a distance away from the warehouse.

Phil: Okay, V. I need you to stay out here.
Virgil: Why?
Phil: They know me, and they know Pete. You, they'll most likely open fire.
Virgil: Got it.
Phil: Just stay here and keep the car running. I'll get in Pete's car and head inside. Should be ten minutes.
Virgil: Alright.

You wait in the car and see Pete's car enter the warehouse. While stationary, you can turn on the radio, light a cigarette, look around your surroundings, until Phil and Pete return to you. After some time has passed, Phil (with a dufflebag) and Pete (with a shotgun on hand) will walk out of the warehouse towards the car and enter. They'll instruct you to make your way out calmly. But before reaching the exit-

Phil: Stop here.

Once you stop the car-

Phil: Ready?
Virgil: For what?
Pete: It's gonna get hot in this place.
Virgil: What?

Pete will pull out, what looks like a television remote with an antenna attached to it. Virgil's military training helps him find out that the device has everything a bomb detonator has.

Virgil: Is that a f*cking detonator?
Phil: Be ready to peel out?
Pete: Oh I can't f*cking wait. It's my own creation. Spent the whole night making them.
Virgil: Oh sh*t.
Phil: It's almost time.

In the distance, you'll see 4th of July fireworks going off. At that moment, Pete detonates the bomb. A huge explosion occurs at the warehouse where Phil and Pete were just at. That's the cue to peel out.

Phil: WOOO! f*cking queers!
Pete: Is anyone feeling hard or is it just me?
Phil: [Laughing] You sick f*ck. You saw that, V?
Virgil: You two are f*cking insane!
Pete: Live a little, V.
Virgil: Go f*ck yourself, Pete.
Phil: Hey, V. You might wanna speed up. We got company.

Behind you are three cars chasing you.

Pete: Keep the car steady, I'll take care of them.
Phil: Head to Mason Creek. Near the river!

You must make sure you don't damage the car too much or head towards the heavy populated areas. Take the alleyways and the local routes til you reach your destination. You will still have pursuers after you once you reach your destination. You'll play a quick game of chicken. You and the enemy side-by-side, heading straight towards the Davenport River. The enemies will nose drive straight into the river, killing them. While Virgil will stop abruptly just before he hits the edge. Virgil, Phil, and Pete will exit the car to see the crash.

Phil: Holy f*ck.
Pete: Nice driving, V.
Virgil: Is it over?
Phil: Probably not. But at least it'll buy us some time.
Pete: You should lay low, Philly. In case they come back.
Virgil: He's right.
Phil: The only way I'll lay low is when I'm dead. Could be soon, could be fifty years from now. Hell, could be Christmas. A day of happiness. I don't care. Death is inescapable.
Virgil: ...Holy sh*t, you're depressing as f*ck.
Phil: What?
Pete: Seriously, man. Shut the f*ck up.
Phil: f*cking assholes. Can we get the f*ck out of here?
Pete: Please.

Enter your vehicle and drive Pete and Phil back to Kennedy Plains. Once you get there-

Pete: Thanks, V.
Phil: Thanks, man. Some crazy driving.
Virgil: A very unusual way to celebrate the 4th of July but it was exciting.
Phil: f*cking-A. And uh, about your payday, it's in the dufflebag in the back. You're welcome.

Phil will exit the car and enter Pete's home. Virgil checks the dufflebag to find five bags of heroin.

Virgil: Motherf*cker.

Mission 9 - What Happens in Silence...: Part I - September 7th, 1971

In order to proceed to your next mission, you must head to your safehouse and save your progress. This will forward the time-setting to September. It's not as sunny this time. More so, slightly overcast in the mornings and then gets a little clearer in the afternoon. You'll also notice that the Sun sets earlier than usual. It now sets at 7PM instead of 8:30PM.

Virgil will wake up to his phone ringing on a rainy day early morning. He'll get up from his bed and answer-

Virgil: [Yawning] Hello?

Paul: Yo, V!

Virgil: Paul? Where the f*ck you been?

Paul: Wouldn't you like to know. Anyway, get your Guinea ass up. We got a job.

Virgil: With who?

Paul: What is it with you and asking about personal information over the phone? Starting to worry me.

Virgil: You got jokes now?

Paul: Always. Anyways, head downstairs to the mailbox. I left you the address. We gotta take both cars for this one. Also make sure you don't come out naked.

Virgil: Got it.

Paul: Great. Also, I just learned some Italian today.

Virgil: Oh yeah? Hit me with it.

Paul: Vaffanculo.

Virgil: Fotiti.

Paul: I don't what that means but when I find out, I'm sure I'm gonna be offended.

Virgil: Can't wait. See ya later.

Virgil will get ready and clothed. He'll get his .38 revolver and head towards the door. Right before he heads out, the phone will ring again. He'll pick it up.

Virgil: Hello?

Paul: You go f*ck yourself!

Virgil: Bye! f*cking Stronzo.

Paul: Jesus Jewish Christ! Wait there, I'm gonna find what that means.

Virgil: Hanging up, Paul.

Paul: No, No...

Virgil hangs up the phone and rushes out the door. The mailbox is located near the building entrance. Head towards it and open it. Inside is a written note "30 Hedge Place Kensington. -Ruben". Afterwards, get in your vehicle and head towards the address.

Once you arrive at this address, you'll see Paul's car already parked out in front. Park and walk up to the door. Virgil will knock and a guard will answer.

Guard: You Virgil?

Virgil: Yeah.

Guard: Step in, please.

Virgil: Okay.

The guard will frisk Virgil and discover the revolver.

Guard: Is this all you have on you?

Virgil: No, I'm also packing a nine-inch shlong. You wanna frisk that too, Asshole?

Ruben: Whoa, a little too much information there, Mr. Assante.

Virgil: Sorry, Mr. Nebish.

Ruben: No need. Shonder is just really passionate about frisking mens privates.

Shonder: Uh, Mr. Nebish-

Ruben: Relax, Shon. Just joking. Go ahead and have a drink. We're good.

Shonder walks away

Ruben: Glad you can make it, Virgil. Find the place okay?

Virgil: Yeah. I'm pretty familiar with Kensington.

Ruben: Good. Come step into my office.

Virgil will follow Ruben into his office on the second floor. Paul will be there already.

Paul: Hey, you made it.

Virgil: Yeah. Got molested by the ratfink guarding the door, though.

Paul: Me too. He's taking me out for dinner tonight.

Virgil: You're sick.

Ruben: You two really are best friends.

Paul: We put up with each other.

Virgil: f*ck off.

Ruben: Anyway, I'm in need of a service that I know you two can provide. It's pretty heavy. This comes straight from Henderson.

Virgil: Whaddya need?

Ruben: During my last visit back home, I had a bit of a...disagreement with a certain Union guy named  James Avery. He wanted a stake in my business and I told him to go f*ck himself.

Paul: Connected guy?

Ruben: Yeah, but not too deep. He's just a puppet for Frank.

Virgil: Frank?

Paul: Big teamster guy and even bigger asshole.

Ruben: He's not wrong there.

Virgil: So what is it you want us to do?

Ruben: I need you and Paul to find him, and bring him to me. Only problem is...

Paul: You don't where he's at.

Ruben: Exactly. But I know he's here in the Northeast. I have three people that may know. An accountant in Romero and a banker on Wyoming Street here in Kensington.

Ruben will hand Paul a piece of paper.

Ruben: On that paper, I listed their addresses.

Virgil: Okay. Any risks?

Ruben: No. Easy as can be. You'll be paid once you bring me Avery.

Paul: Alright then. Let's head out.

Virgil and Paul head out the office and towards the front door. Shonder the Guard is standing next to the door. Virgil walks past him, Paul also walks past him while sticking the middle finger to Shonder's face.

Paul: Let's take both cars, just in case.

Virgil: Alright.

Enter your vehicle and head towards the Banker's address, since it's closer. You can head right to the location without following Paul. He'll meet you there. Once you arrive at the bank, walk up to Paul. Both of you will enter the bank and begin asking for Martin Ayers, the banker in question. You'll eventually be led to the main office where an older gentleman with salt and pepper hair named, Jerome Holohan

Jerome: I understand you two are looking for Martin Ayers.

Paul: Yeah, that's right.

Jerome: Well, he's off today. May I ask why you want him specifically? Anything the other tellers can help youse with?

Virgil: It's a personal matter.

Paul: Just cut the sh*t, Jerry. You know we're why asking for Martin.

Virgil: What the f*ck, Paul.

Jerome: Alright, f*ck.

Virgil: Uhhh... What the f*ck, Paul?

Paul: He's in charge of Ruben's books. He's also in charge of telling us what we need to know.

Virgil: I feel like I should be told these things. Y'know?

Paul: Anyway, Martin Ayers. Where is he?

Jerome: All I know is his home address. 50 Pringle Street. Don't hurt him too much.

Paul: Can't make any promises. Let's go, V.

Virgil and Paul will head out to the bankers address. When you arrive, Pauls car will be parked right across the street. Walking towards the home, you'll notice the door is open. Upon investigation, you'll realize it has been kicked in. Virgil and Paul will rush inside with their guns drawn. Martins wife is seen in the kitchen area crying, and panics more upon seeing Paul and Virgil.

Wife: Get away from me!

Paul: Relax Miss. We're here to help. What happened here?

Wife: How do I know you're not one of them?

Virgil: One of who?

Paul: Look, we're the good guys. We can help you. Just take a breath and relax.

Wife: O-okay.

Virgil: So what happened? Where's Martin?

Wife: Someone came and kicked in the door and took Martin. My husband is a proud Christian, he doesn't deserve this.

Paul: Did you see what car they took him in?

Wife: It was a van. A red van.

Paul: Not a lot of those here around here.

Wife: It belonged to some construction company. I don't the name but it said construction company on the side.

Paul: That's it. Let's go, V.

Virgil and Paul will rush outside-

Paul: Okay so, red construction company van in Kensington? Not a likely thing. But in Madison...

Virgil: Everett Construction Company. Let's go.

Both of you will rush to Madison towards the construction company and discover that it is being guarded by men armed with pistols and shotguns. Virgil and Paul will park in an alleyway behind the company.

Virgil: Holy f*ck. This is easy as can be to Ruben?

Paul: You'd be surprised. What are we gonna do? There's at least ten of those limp dick queers in there armed to the teeth.

Virgil: Okay, uh, I was in a predicament like this in Khe Sanh.

Paul: Where?

Virgil: Nevermind. What I can do is try to sneak inside. Avoiding the guards. Find out where they got Martin and try to get him out of there.

Paul: Okay. First off, are you f*cking suicidal? That's a f*cked up plan.

Virgil: You got anything better?

Paul: Yeah, go home and get sucked off by Nancy.

Virgil: Look, all I need you to do is handle the getaway. Once I grab him, I'm haul-assing out of there. Got it?

Paul: Alright. I can bring the car around but it's gonna cause some noise.

Virgil: Well you got a gun, right?

Paul: So do you.

Virgil: When it's time to go, I'll shoot in the air. That's when you come in.

Paul: Roger that, Staff Sergeant.

You must find a way to sneak inside the building. To the far left side, there is a ladder that takes you to the roof. From there you can descend to the second level where Martin is located.

Or you can enter through a small window that takes you to the basement. From there you'd have to sneak past all the guards to the second level.

Once you find Martin, he'll be locked in a room, unscathed. Outside the door are two men-

Guard 1: What are we gonna do with him?

Guard 2: I don't f*cking know. He's supposed to spend the night here to get picked up tomorrow. That's it.

Guard 1: Okay. Hope we get out of this f*cking state soon. It stinks here.

Both guards will walk away, this is your opportunity to get Martin. Walk up to the door and unlock it, Virgil will enter.

Virgil: Martin Ayers?

Martin: Yes?

Virgil: I'm gonna get you out of here.

Martin: Oh thank goodness. My Lord and Savior has never failed-

Virgil: Shut the f*ck up and let's go.

Your next objective is to sneak out of the building with Martin which proves more difficult than getting in. Once you get outside, Virgil will remain out of sight but you will have to take your gun out and shoot into the air. This will signal Paul to rush into the lot with haste to get you. You and Martin must rush to the car, dodging bullets. Once you reach the car, Martin will hop in the back seat, Virgil will hop in the passenger seat. Paul will rush off and a chase will commence. You must take your gun and shoot out the tires of the pursuers. Once you are rid of them, Paul will drive to the nearest safe place to pull over.

Paul: Alright Mr. Ayers. We got you out of the hornet's nest, and into another one.

Martin: Pardon?

Paul punches Martin hard enough to make him fall

Martin: Wait! I thought you were sent to save me?

Virgil: We're not in the saving people business.

Paul: We're looking for someone that you know.

Martin: Who?

Virgil: James Avery.

Martin: I'm not familiar with that name so please-

Paul punches him again

Paul: Sorry, that was an accident.

Martin: Please stop doing that!

Virgil: James f*cking Avery! Do you know him?

Martin: Yes I do. Why?

Paul: Don't worry why. Tell us where he's at.

Martin: All I know is an address belonging to a co-signer.

Virgil: Name?

Martin: Nick Sullivan. 638 South Harris Street. Brooke-Meyer. Apartment 3C. He was with Mr. Avery opening an account.

Paul: That's a bet. V, you take Mr. Ayers back to his lovely wife. I'll go to Nick's.

Virgil: Okay. You need a ride?

Paul: I'll find my own way. Just be careful.

Get in your vehicle and drive Martin home.

Martin: Do you mind if I say a prayer?

Virgil: Just shut the f*ck up.

Once you arrive at Martin's home-

Virgil: You forget a thousand things everyday. Make sure this is one of them.

Martin: May God help you, Son.

Virgil: OUT!

Martin will rush into his home.

MISSION 10: What Happens in Silence... Part II - September 9th, 1971

Once the mission is completed, time will forward two days. You must find a payphone so Virgil can call Ruben about the job.

Ruben: Hello?

Virgil: Mr. Nebish. It's Virgil.

Ruben: Virgil, my boy! How's the family?

Virgil: Family is okay. I just visited my uncle, I told you about. Told me that he doesn't know where my cousin moved to. However, a friend of his does. But Paul is visiting him now.

Ruben: What a shame. That cousin of yours thought it was wise to alienate himself from the family. Knowing that family will always find you. Anyway, you pay a visit to your friend in Romero?

Virgil: Going right now.

Ruben: Excellent. Let me know how it goes.

Virgil: You got it. Take care.

Ruben: You too, Virgil.

Your next objective is to make your way to an accountant's office in West Side Romero. Once you arrive, Virgil will enter calmly through the front door.

Accountant: Hello, Sir. Can I help you?

Virgil: Yes you can.

Accountant. Okay. Please have a seat.

Virgil will sit across from the accountant.

Accountant: What can I help you with?

Virgil: First, and foremost, can you confirm that your name is Howard Wozniak?

Howard: Yes, I can. Were you referred?

Virgil: Yes, I was.

Howard: Great! Who referred you?

Virgil: His name is James Avery.

Howard: ...I'm sorry. I-I-I'm not very familiar with that name. Excuse me, I have to go to the back for a quick minute.

Virgil: Don't get up, Mr. Wozniak. You know James Avery. And I need you to tell me where he is located.

Howard: I don't want any trouble.

Virgil: And you won't have any trouble. Just tell me where he is, and I'll leave your life, for good.

Howard: [Sighs] Okay. Come with me to the back, please.

The two will get up from their seats. Virgil will follow Howard to an office at the back. Once they enter, Howard will close the door behind Virgil and will immediately begin opening file cabinets and going through files. He will pull one out and hand it to Virgil.

Virgil: What is this?

Howard: His statements.

Virgil: What?

In the background, you'll hear Paul asking for Howard. Howard will go and bring him to the office with Virgil.

Paul: Hey, man.

Virgil: What's up, Paul.

Paul: What did you find out?

Virgil: I got his "statements".

Paul: Oh... okay.

Virgil: What does this say, Howard?

Howard: It states that, in his filing with me some two months ago, he has been making deposits of $300 every week into a business account.

Paul: And?

Howard: And a woman in Brooke-Meyer, withdraws that same $300 the next day from the same account. If you want to find him, you need to find her. Her name's Sophia Periandi. She lives in the Mallorie Hotel. Room 3C.

Virgil: How do you know all of this?

Howard: I was the one responsible for getting her the room at such a small rate. Plus, they charge my firm for her stay.

Paul: And with said, we gotta go, V.

Virgil: Okay. Oh, and Mr. Wozniak? Forget you saw us. Or we'll remember you forever.

Howard: Y-y-y-y-yes, Sir.

Paul and Virgil leave and enter their cars.

Paul: It's a bit of a drive to the Mallorie. How's about a race?

Virgil: You know what, Paul? You wanna lose? That's fine by me. Let's go.

You will race Paul to the Mallorie Hotel.

If you win:

Virgil: What took you so long?

Paul: [Mockingly] What took you so long?

If you lose:

Paul: I think, greasy sloth would be a great racial slur for you, V.

Virgil: f*ck you, you Hippy Jew.

Paul: Ouch. I felt that in my linguine.

Once you arrive, you'll notice the historical and visually stunning characteristics of the hotel. It faces the Davenport River and sits right across the street from the Blackwater St. Bridge that leads to Kensington. The duo will finally enter and make their way to the grand staircase and head to the third floor. Once they reach the floor, they notice the sign "< 5C - 1C" and "6C - 10C >". They look for room 3C. As they make their way towards the room, they see a young woman exiting the room and they freeze. She notices them-

Woman: Are you guys here to fix the plumbing?

Paul: ...Yes, ma'am. Just got the call.

Woman: Great. But where are your tools?

Virgil: We have a maintenance closet nearby. We just need to check the problem first and then get the proper tools.

Woman: That makes sense. Okay then. Have fun, Fellas.

Paul and Virgil will look at each other in way that says "I can't believe that worked." They enter the room and immediately begin searching for any information. Eventually, Virgil will find a box filled with papers from a bank. Each paper states that this woman has been making weekly withdrawals of $300 since March. Then, Paul will find a briefcase that contains $50,000 in bearer bonds and under that, more paperwork. After reading through, he discovers James Avery's location. The papers explain that James Avery has been depositing $300 into ten different accounts every Friday from a the Woodlands Financial in Litchfield. And that he has been doing this for a few months as a way to launder money he stole from Ruben and Henderson crime boss, Giant Joe Grimaldi, from an elaborate ponzi scheme. And a written note saying that he is in hiding in Litchfield.

Paul: V! I got something big.

Virgil: Yeah? Me too. These are bank statements from the Woodlands Financial here in Brooke-Meyer. That Howard guy was right.

Paul: Well, listen to this. James Avery stole a f*ck-ton of money from Ruben and Giant Joe Grimaldi in a ponzi scheme. And every friday he deposits $300 into ten different accounts.

Virgil: Where at?

Paul: Woodlands Financial in Litchfield. That's where he's hiding.

Virgil: I don't why you're a criminal. You'd be a great detective.

Paul: No, I wouldn't. Well, today's Thursday. Meaning tomorrow, James will be making another deposit.

Virgil: Then we gotta go early tomorrow.

Paul: No, f*ck that. Tonight. We'll a room over there and crash and be up early to stake out the bank.

Virgil: Okay. Sounds like a plan.

Paul: Let's go.

As they leave the room, the actual maintenance man will arrive.

Maintenance Man: You guys called maintenance?

Paul: Yeah. Please fix the plumbing? Thanks.

Once they get outside.

Paul: Meet me at home. We'll pack up and go together.

Virgil: Okay.

Paul will leave.

MISSION 11: What Happens in Silence... Part III - September 10th, 1971

You can make your way to this mission right after Mission 10. On your map, the mission indicator will be located at your safe house. Once you arrive and make your upstairs to your apartment, you will notice your door is ajar. A cutscene will commence.

Virgil approaches the door slowly as he wields his .38 with his right hand. Upon entering, Virgil notices that the apartment is trashed. Mainly in the living room area. The coffee table is flipped over, the television is smashed in, there is broken glass spread across the room and some spots of blood. Virgil will also notice a bullet case on the floor. By the look of things, someone walked in the apartment, because there is no sign of forced entry, and attacked Paul. Judging by the open suitcase filled halfway with clothes, it was while he was still packing for the Litchfield trip. Maybe Paul reached for his gun and let off a shot. While looking out the windows towards the parking lot, his car is no where to be found. Many questions arise. It's at this moment, there's a knock on the door. Virgil will approach is slowly while aiming the gun at the door. Once he makes it, he'll take a deep breath and waits a second. Then he'll quickly open the door aiming at the person who knocked, it is Nancy.

"What the f*ck, Virgil?"

Virgil will lower his weapon.

Virgil: Sorry. Thought you was someone else.

Nancy: You thought I was one of those bikers?

Virgil: What bikers?

Nancy: The Bikers that did this.

Virgil: Tell me what happened.

Nancy: Okay. Uh, I just got here to see if Paul wanted to bone again. I get here and I see he's packing. So I screamed at him. I said "What you f*cking leaving me?" then I thought that was stupid because this is his place and I don't live here and-

Virgil: Get to the f*cking point already!

Nancy: That's when he heard someone knocking. He thought it was you. He told me to open, so I did. Then these sweaty bikers just charged in here and knocked me to the floor. Paul got his gun out and shot one of them. That's his blood on the floor. They tried to jump Paul but, he was fighting like I've never seen before. He was f*cking them up. Then those leather-clad fa**ots just ran out of here.

Virgil: Okay. So where's Paul?

Nancy: Oh, he went after them.

Virgil: ...What?

Nancy: He just ran after them. But before he left, he told me to tell you to wait here. He's gonna call.

Virgil: So what? I just sit here and wait for a phone call?

Nancy: I mean... yeah. Probably won't be long [Phone rings] Oh, there it is.

Virgil rushes to the phone

Virgil: Paul?

Paul: Virgil, just shut up and listen. Meet me at a PetroSyl Gas Station in Mason Creek. And hurry up!

Virgil: Okay.

Virgil hangs up the phone.

Virgil: I gotta go. Go to Stef's place and wait there for us. Got it?

Nancy: Okay, I got it.

Virgil leaves. Now you have control. Your next objective is to meet Paul in Mason Creek. When you arrive at the gas station, you'll notice that it is located on a dark back road and surrounded by trees. Paul will sitting in his car which is parked beside the gas station. You approach Paul, he'll exit his car.

Paul: Come on. There's something we gotta do. Nance told you what happened?

Virgil: Yeah. Who the f*ck are these Bikers?

Paul: Oh just a bunch bearded sons of bitches who work for James Avery. [Opens trunk. Takes out an Assault 16]

Virgil: Holy sh*t!

Paul: You like?

Virgil: Where the f*ck did you even get that?

Paul: Wouldn't you like to know. Anyway, here take this. [Hands Virgil a .45 Caliber Pistol]

Virgil: Nice. What's going on?

Paul: I followed these bastards to an old warehouse in the woods. We're gonna go in there and f*ck them all up.

Virgil: But why did they attack you?

Paul: Are you not listening? James Avery found out were after him. He sent these bikers to stop us. But they chose the wrong Jew to f*ck with.

Virgil: So what? We're gonna go in there and kill everybody?

Paul: Can you say that any louder? I don't think the gas guy heard you. Look, I'm gonna kill them, with this monster. You are gonna keep driving around the warehouse shooting gas tanks.

Virgil: Gas tanks?

Paul: Yeah. Don't f*cking ask questions. Let's just do this.

Virgil: Okay.

Paul: Alright, we'll go in your car. We'll come back for mine.

Soon as Paul enters the car, your next objective is to make your way to the warehouse. You'll see numerous bikers parked in front of the warehouse. Paul will tell you to drop him off in front of the entrance. You must take position to the nearest gas tank, which they are all placed on the warehouse. Once they explode, the warehouse will definitely be hit. Once you hear the gunshots from inside, you begin shooting the gas tanks. Each will require between 3-5 shots to explode. There are a total of six gas tanks. There will be no opposition, however, you do need to be fast. You don't want leave Paul in the fire. Once all six tanks are ablaze, rush to the front of the warehouse to pick up Paul. He'll make his way to the car while dragging a biker. Virgil will rush to open the trunk, Paul will throw the biker in it.

Virgil: Who's this?

Paul: This friendly fella here is gonna tell us exactly where James is.

Biker: f*ck you!

Paul closes the trunk and gets in the car. Now you must drive back to Paul's car. Once you arrive, a brief cutscene will play.

Virgil will park alongside Paul's car. Paul will get out, open his trunk as well as Virgil's, and transfer the biker to his car.

Virgil: What are you gonna do?

Paul: I'm gonna have some fun with this guy.

Virgil: I kinda feel bad for him now.

Paul: Oh don't worry about him. I'm sure he'll remember me in the afterlife. Won't you, Buddy?

Biker: f*ck you!

Paul: He's so aggressive. [Slams trunk close] Meet me over at Zimmerman's tomorrow. Alright?

Virgil: Okay.

Paul will drive away. Virgil notices that the gas clerk was watching them. Virgil will walk towards him.

Virgil: So what did you see?

Clerk: Two asshole's stuffing a body into a red Dundreary Brigand. What you gonna do, Wop?

Virgil: You are correct, Sir. You did see that. Maybe you see into the future also.

Clerk: What?

Virgil: 'Cause I do. You know what I see? I see a man, who looks a lot like you, getting dragged into that same trunk [Customer door opens behind Virgil] Bloody from the beating he just got. Maybe one of his balls will get cut off. Ain't that right, Paul?

Paul: That's right. Actually, why even wait [Wields a knife] I can make it happen right now.

Virgil: So I'm gonna ask again, what did you see?

Clerk: [Shaken]…Nothing, Sir.

Virgil: Good. You better hope this is the last you see me. Because next time, there won't be a next time.

Paul: Check it out, his name is Steven Mahr. Employee of the Month. Easy name to find.

Virgil: And easy to remember.

Clerk: I'm sorry for my attitude. I meant nothing by it.

Paul: I hope so. He got the message. Let's go.

Both Virgil and Paul leave.

Paul: I forgot about the witness. I'm glad you did though. You have a very f*cked up imagination.

Virgil: Well I got you for a friend, right?

Paul: Best friend.

Virgil: Right.

Paul gets in his car and drives away again.

This concept is really awesome, You should add more soundtracks in each radio stations. Vehicles could be the same as Bohemians & Blackjack. The Davenport Shopping Centre is based on real life Wyoming Valley Mall. And I like the way that you are a excellent story writer. Keep up the good work.

Thank you so much for your feedback. Will work on the soundtracks once Chapter one is finished. That’s when I will work more on the aesthetics of the concept. And yes, the Davenport is in fact the WV mall. Are you from the Scranton/Wilkes Barre/Hazleton area?

No, I was searching on Google Maps for a shopping mall in Wilkes-Barre.

That’s awesome dude! I’m glad my concept was an interest to you. Enough to actually look up Wilkes Barre 😂. It’s not a very exciting town. Not like it used to be at least.

MISSION 12: Can Always be Heard: Part I - September 11th, 1971

The next mission will commence at Pete Zimmerman's residence in Palance.

Upon arrival, you will notice Paul's car parked on the driveway. Walk towards the front door, you'll hear the song Stuck in the Middle with You by Stealers Wheel at full volume coming from inside the house. Virgil will knock on the door as hard as he can so someone can hear. Eventually, Pete will come from around the side and see Virgil.

Pete: Hey, V!

Virgil: What the f*ck is going on here, Pete? Where's Paul?

Pete: He's in the basement. Just go right in. Door's open.

Virgil: Alright.

Virgil will walk in and make his way to the basement which is behind the main staircase. After going down the stairs, Virgil will notice the biker, from the previous mission, strapped to a chair. The basement is dark, there is only one lightbulb right above the biker. The biker is covered in blood, indicating that he has been tortured since his capture. Virgil approaches him to see if he's still alive. The biker, then, suddenly wakes up screaming but it is muffled due to the loud music.

Biker: Dude! You gotta get me outta here. That f*cking Jew is a psycho!

Virgil: Don't call him that. He'll take it as a challenge.

Biker: That maniac cut my ear off!

Paul pops from behind the biker.

Paul: And you're lucky I need you to hear me or else I would've cut the other one off.

Virgil: He's a very sick man.

Biker: No sh*t, Wop.

Virgil delivers a devastating right hook to the bikers face.

Paul: The Devastating Virgil Assante Right-Hook. A total classic.

Virgil: You just told him my full name.

Biker: Yeah, he's right. I'm gonna remember you assholes.

Paul: Guess we'd have to bury him alongside the others at the old insane asylum.

Virgil: Very rarely do people get buried there dead. Usually, they're still some life left in them.

Paul: And they feel their lives leaving their body little by little.

Virgil: They start off fine. But then they lose their minds once they realize they're gonna die in a f*cking hole.

Paul: Sometimes they die within the next two hours. Sometimes... it takes them days to finally die. And each second feels like an eternity. You'll be begging your God to kill you.

Biker: ...You guys are sick.

Paul: Virgil?

Virgil: Yes?

Paul: Show this gentleman how we play tag.

Virgil: [Laughingly] With pleasure.

Biker: What the f*ck are you guys talking about?

Make your way upstairs to collect a fire iron from inside the fireplace. Collect it then return to Paul in the basement.

Paul: Alright, V. Give him a little poke. There's something he's not telling us.

Biker: Wait. WAIT! What are you doing with that!?

Paul replays the record to muffle the screams. On the screen will appear a selection of actions. Complete each action and you will unveil more information about James Avery.

X/A to burn his chest

Apply sufficient pressure with both L2/L1 and R2/R1. Keep the marker in the yellow zone. Don't push too much or else he will die.

During action:

Virgil: Feel the burn, Asshole.

Biker: Ahhhh! Stop!

Paul: I think my friend is enjoying this a little too much.

After you succeed:

Biker: Okay! Okay!

Paul: We help jog your memory?

Biker: He's in Litchfield.

Virgil: We know that already. Where in Litchfield!?

Biker: Somewhere in the south side. That's all I know.

Paul: Hm, nah. Virgil, if you will.

Square/X to slap the iron across his face

Press Square/X repeatedly until he can't take it anymore.

Virgil: Jesus Christmas, you're looking f*cked up there, Bud.

Paul: I don't know. I think it alters his face more.

Biker: Please stop...

Paul: South side Litchfield. Where exactly?

Biker: I don't know. He's being guarded by some of our brothers. Not far from the bank. Always moves around with a Jew prick named Kleinman.

Paul: I should hit you for that Jew comment, but I don't want syphilis.

Virgil: I know of a great cure for that.

Paul: Do you now, Dr. Assante?

Virgil: That's right.

Paul: Please demonstrate.

Virgil: My pleasure.

O/B to jab the iron into his legs

Raise the Right Analog Stick until the iron has reached full height, then very quickly push the analog stick down. Same sequence for the other leg.

Virgil: And voila, no more syphilis.

Biker: [Crying] Sadist!

Paul: Stop the flirting and start with the spilling. South side Litchfield, protected by the Heathens M.C., Jew guy named Kleinmann who runs with him. Give me more information or my friend will turn your entire body into swiss cheese!

Biker: The Union!

Virgil: What union?

Biker: The Amish Union.

Paul: No sh*t?

Biker: He's been working with them since he left Henderson. He pays them to keep him protected.

Paul: So a bunch of 1700's farmers with weird-ass beards that don't even drive cars, let alone use guns, are the ones holding him. Right?

Biker: They're different. These guys are just like you guys. The whole Amish thing is just a show. They're armed to the teeth.

Virgil: We find them, we find James.

Paul: I guess we can go around asking people "Hey, we're looking for The Amish Union to hunt down and kill. You know where they may be?"

Virgil: [In country accent] Well I do reckon they down the road to the right. There's a big sign that says A-mish Union. [Laugh]

Paul: Where do we find them?

The biker will be temporarily unresponsive.

Paul: Hit him, Virgil.

Triangle/Y to jab it through his foot

Aim the target over his foot. Wait for the green bar to fill at the up then press X/A.

Biker: Ahhhhh!

Paul: Wakey, wakey.

Virgil: Better hurry this up.

Paul: [Smacks the biker] Hey! Look at me. We can stop this, right now. No more pain. Just tell us where to find these guys.

Biker: At a barn on Hartman Road. Deep in Amish Country. They'll have people guarding the entrance. 119 Hartman Road. About ten minutes away from the bank.

Paul: Thank you. Thank you, so much. We'll let you go.

Biker: R-r-really?

Paul: Of course. Virgil, can you please untie him?

Virgil: Okay.

Virgil will untie the biker. He'll get up but is very weak due to the torture. Paul will hand him a bottle of whiskey and the Biker will drink it immediately.

Paul: You like that whiskey, huh?

Biker: [Puts bottle down] Yes. Thank you.

Paul: Good, I'm glad. Go on ahead, you're free to go.

Biker: Thank you.

The biker will very weakly make his way up the stairs, just to be greeted by Pete Zimmerman pointing a shotgun at him.

Pete: I'm sorry.

Pete will shoot and kill the biker. His body will fly back down the stairs. Paul and Virgil will go upstairs and meet up with Pete.

Pete: Not bad, huh?

Paul: That was beautiful.

Virgil: A little warning would be nice.

Pete: What's wrong, Virgil? Tinnitus getting to you, already?

Virgil: f*ck you, Pete.

Paul: Alright, guys. Shut the f*ck up. Pete, can you handle the body?

Pete: Of course, You guys should come over more often.

Virgil: So you can shoot me in a drunk rage? I'm good.

Paul: Okay then, We'll be leaving now. Virgil, get your rest. Tomorrow, we go to Litchfield.

Virgil: Oh my heart is just jumping with excitement.

Paul: Not yet, but it will. I'll see you, Bud,

Strong follow-up

Well, maybe just because i had read this after the rewatching the two final episides of Punisher S1, the torture thing made me a lil bit meek inside. But i guess this scene how the story would follow the previous events. Still, i am gonna watch some rom-com to balance it. Probably something with Julia Roberts in it.

MISSION 13: Can Always be Heard: Part II - September 13th, 1971

Return to your safe house and sleep to advance to the next day.

Virgil wakes up from his sleep and gets dressed. Exiting his room, he will see Paul in the kitchen preparing two drinks of whiskey.

Paul: A little pick-me-up?

Virgil: Yes, please.

Both raise their glasses

Paul: [Hebrew] L'chaim. (To life)

Virgil: [Italian] E la morte. (To death)

They both drink.

Paul: There's a goddamn dirty drink.

Virgil: Not bad for 8 A.M. When are we leaving?

Paul: Right now, actually. I mapped out a nice route we can take.

Virgil: Cool. Let me see.

Virgil will take a look at the map.

Virgil: Why are we taking back roads instead of the interstate. It's gonna add like another hour to the trip.

Paul: Can't risk getting pulled over... [pulls out Assault 16] With this baby in the back seat.

Virgil: Do you just have a bunch of them spread across the state?

Paul: Not me. But I wouldn't be surprise of someone does. State is filled with careful 2nd amendment crazies. You might get lucky finding them, if you dare, that is.

Virgil: I just might.

Paul: Okay. Let's go.

Paul will attempt to walk out with the Assault 16 on hand.

Virgil: Are you kidding me?

Paul: What?

Virgil: You want people to see you carrying that to the car? Cops will come before we turn the corner.

Paul: You're right. Wait here.

Paul will enter his room. After a few seconds, he'll walk out with the Assault 16 wrapped in a rug.

Paul: Okay, let's go.

Virgil: ...Honestly, are you okay, mentally?

Paul: [From down the hallway] Nope!

Enter your car and follow the route on your HUD.

  • Get on NS-903 South from North Main Street and Brooke-Meyer Blvd
  • Take Route 674 South to NS-100 South. Take exit 49A from Route-87 West
  • Get on US-222 South from Schwartz Road. Use the right lane to take the US-222 South ramp to Litchfield
  • Take the exit onto US-222 S/US-444 West toward Litchfield/Smithsburg
  • Use the left lane to merge onto US-60 East toward Collinstown/Lenapia
  • Pass by Woodland's Financial (on the right)
  • Continue on US-60 East. Drive to NS-785 South
  • Destination will be on the left

It's about a two hour trip. Approximately 124 miles. Enjoy the conversations and the radio stations.

Paul: So...

Virgil: What?

Paul: Nevermind.

Virgil: You motherf*cker. Spit it out.

Paul: There's gonna be some blood spilled. You know that, right?

Virgil: Yeah, I know.

Paul: And I know you ain't gonna let no greasy biker kill you.

Virgil: I'm not. Assuming you got a plan.

Paul: Somewhat.

Virgil: Shoot.

Paul: First, we drive around to see what their detail is. From there we figure it out.

Virgil: ...And?

Paul: I'm hungry.

Virgil: Goddammit. Me too.

Follow the directions and it should take you to a large cornfield with a white barn in the center. Up ahead is the entrance which is guarded by bikers.

Paul: There's Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle-f*cking-Dumber guarding the front.

Virgil: Is it safe to say James Avery is in there?

Paul: Almost. Bikers guarding a barn in Amish Country is already raising eye-brows.

Virgil: High Value Target.

Paul: That's right. Whaddya think, Staff Sergeant? How should we go about this?

Virgil: If there's a way we can go higher to get an aerial view, we can map out a plan further. But where?

Paul: Asshole, there's a water tower, literally, behind us.

Virgil: f*ck you, Paul.

Paul: Let's go.

Both Virgil and Paul make their way to the top of the water tower. They see that there's more bikers spread all throughout the property.

Virgil: f*ck me.

Paul: This is quite an operation they're running here,

Virgil: Yeah. Check it out. They're really just guarding the home in the center. The others just watch the perimeter. Meaning-

Paul: Mr. Avery is at arms reach.

Virgil: Exactly.

Paul: How are we doing this?

Virgil analyzes the property like he was trained to do in the Army.

Virgil: Okay. I see an opening into the field. We can bring the car in without breaking the fence.

Paul: You wanna drive the car in there? Are you insane?

Virgil: We just gotta worry about getting in there quiet. Getting out quiet seems more like a hell no. Especially with this security detail.

Paul: I guess you're right.

Virgil: Thank you. Now, we quietly get the car through the field and position it somewhere near the home. From there, I'll go in quietly and grab Avery. Then I'll rush him to the car and we haul ass out of there. I'll take the wheel, you shoot down whoever is chasing us. Sounds good?

Paul: Wow. You would've been a great soldier if you wasn't a f*ck up.

Virgil: f*ck you. Let's go.

The opening to the field is to the west. Drive the car through the field slowly. Go too fast and the Biker's will spot you. Make your way to the next marker.

Virgil: Okay. From here, you got a clear view of the back window. Keep an eye on it. When I wave to you, start making noise and get us. I don't plan on staying here longer than I have to.

Paul: Aye, aye, Sir!

Using the sneak mechanic, introduced in the prologue, make your way inside. Eavesdrop on conversations about James Avery's location.

Biker 1: How's that Yuppie prick?

Biker 2: He's in his master bedroom with the Jew. Nose all up in the air. f*ck 'em.

The master bedroom is on the second floor, facing the main staircase. Sneak past all the Bikers. Any alerts and you will fail the mission. You will have the opportunity to subdue and knock out a Biker to wear his jacket. With the jacket on, you can walk in the room normally and convince James to go with you. Without the jacket, you must burst into the room, knockout Kleinmann and grab Avery.

With the Jacket

Virgil knocks on the door

Virgil: Mr. Avery. Can I have a word, please.

James: You goddamn Bikers gonna keep asking me about the money? You're gonna get it. The f*cking deadline is in three weeks. That was the deal.

Virgil: It's about your contact in Brooke-Meyer.

James: Oh, okay. Hang on.

James Avery opens the door. Leopold Kleinmann is standing next to the dresser with uneasy eyes on Virgil.

James: How did it go?

Virgil: It went well. Just wanted to let you know.

James: Yes! Thank you.

Virgil: Also, there's a car for you downstairs.

Kleinmann: [German Accent] A car? We aren't scheduled to leave the premises until 4 this afternoon.

James: Relax, Leo. It's probably that Amish freak, Elijah. I'll be right down.

Wait for James to exit the room and go to the kitchen area to signal Paul. He will start shooting from the car and rush to the back door.

James: What the f*ck is going on?

Virgil: Sorry, James. But we're gonna be late.

James: Late for what?

Virgil: Your meeting with Ruben Nebish.

James: Oh sh*t. You work for him!?

Virgil wields his pistol and aims it at James face to intimidate him. At that moment, Kleinmann will rush down to shoot you, you must shoot him to stop him, not kill him.

Virgil: It's time to go.

Paul will park the car in front of the door. James will get stuffed in the trunk. Virgil will drive and Paul will grab his Assault 16 and begin shooting.

Without the jacket

Virgil knocks on the door.

James: Who is it?

Virgil: You got a package, Mr. Avery.

James will open the door but Virgil will kick it down, knocking James down. Leopold Kleinmann will react by drawing his gun, you must hurry and shoot him in the leg. The gunshot will alert the bikers and they will charge at you, shooting. Rush to the backdoor, Paul will be there already. Stuff James in the trunk and drive the car out of there. Paul will grab his Assault 16 and begin shooting.

You must make your way back to Brooke-Meyer. At the same time, losing the bikers. It will be a massive chase sequence and you will gain three wanted stars. Lose the pursuit and you may continue to complete the mission.

Paul: Whoa, that was crazy.

Virgil: Seriously. It's like 'Nam all over again.

Paul: We finally got this bastard. Time to get paid.

Virgil: Hell yeah!

Once you reach Brooke-Meyer, find a payphone and call Ruben.

Ruben: Hello?

Virgil: It's Virgil. I got your friend. He's very anxious to see you.

Ruben: Really? That is excellent news. Bring him to my home. The garage will be open.

Virgil: Yes, sir.

Go to Ruben's home and park in the garage. Ruben will be there with his guard Shondor, waiting. Open the trunk for Ruben.

James: Ah! What the f*ck is this?

Ruben: Hello, Old friend. I sure missed you.

James: Ruben, I-I-I-I was gonna pay you back.

Ruben: Oh you will. Trust me, you will. Shon, can you please get him out of there and into the basement right away.

Shondor: Yes, sir.

Shondor will drag James out of the trunk and into the house.

Ruben: Thank you boys so much. I can't imagine it was easy.

Virgil: No task too difficult.

Ruben: I see. I will definitely be giving you another call, Virgil.

Virgil: Thank you, Ruben.

Paul: So, our pay?

Virgil: Paul!

Paul: What?

Ruben: It's fine. Virgil. Paul is very straight-forward.

Paul: Just like my penis.

Virgil: Oh my goodness.

Ruben: He's quick. That's for sure. [He will take out two yellow envelopes from inside his robe] Here you go. I hope it's good.

Both Virgil and Paul open the envelopes and see all the money.

Virgil: Oh, yeah. It's good.

Ruben: I'm glad. You two enjoy that and have a little vacation. On me.

Paul: With pleasure.

Virgil and Paul will get in the car and drive away.

Paul: Drugs, Booze, Lillies tonight?

Virgil: Why not?

That is very well laid structure for a mission. And it is consistent with the character of Virgil. Very cinematic too. As always, good job!

MISSION 14: December Wishes - December 1st, 1971

Go to sleep to fast forward to the ides of winter.

Feast your eyes on the winter wonders of New Sylvania. In the valley, the snow creates its own form of art as it paints over the hills and trees as well as the towns.

Take a look at the northeast under snow.

Brooke-Meyer

Stratton

Arborton

Mulberry

Kensington

On to the mission...

Virgil gets awaken by his phone ringing. He'll get up from his bed and make his way to the phone. Paul is not around. But his car is still parked outside. Virgil will proceed to pick up the phone.

Virgil: Hello?

Mario: Wake your ass up, V.

Virgil: What's going on, Mario?

Mario: It's December 1st.

Virgil: ... Okay. And?

Mario: It's December 1st.

Virgil: No, I heard you the first time. What the f*ck does that mean?

Mario: [Sighs] It is December 1st!

Virgil: ... Oh sh*t. The family dinner?

Mario: Yes. Did you really forget?

Virgil: No... Yes. Shut up.

Mario: Well, it doesn't matter. I picked up Paul already. Your parents here already. And you dad started drinking. So hurry up.

Virgil: Alright. Oh, uh, can I bring Stef?

Mario: Of course. Just get to my house already.

Virgil: Alright. I'll see you in a bit.

Mario: Okay. See ya.

Virgil will immediate call Stefani's phone.

Stefani: Hello?

Virgil: Hey, Baby.

Stefani: Hi, Baby. How are you?

Virgil: My family is having a big December dinner. And I would love it if you can join me.

Stefani: Really? I would love to.

Virgil: Great. I'll come pick you up in a bit.

Stefani: I'll look forward to it. I love you.

Virgil: I love you too. I'll see you.

Virgil will go through his clothes and notice that he doesn't have any respectable clothes. The Polisi Family December Dinner, everyone is to be dressed to impress. It is a tradition that Ercole Polisi, Mario's Great-Grandfather, started in the family's birthplace, Catania, in 1871. The tradition continues on. Since Virgil has no respectable suit to wear, he makes his way to Downtown Brooke-Meyer to purchase a suit and tie from Tuxedo's by Puzo. An old Mom-and-Pop tailor established in 1940 by Raphael Puzo

When Virgil arrives, he is greeted by Old Man Puzo, who still speaks with a heavy Sicilian accent.

Puzo: Buona Sera! Welcome to my shop. How can I be of assistance?

Virgil: I have a dinner I have to attend to and I need to look respectable. Not too flashy.

Puzo: Perhaps you would be interested in a classic suit and tie combination with solid colors.

Virgil: Sure. That sounds good.

Puzo: I imagine you in a black pin stripe blazer. Solid white button up. And a red tie with yellow rays. This sounds good, no?

Virgil: Sounds great, actually.

Puzo: Bene! I shall get started on your measurements once my client is finished.

Virgil: No problem.

Virgil sits and waits a while. Puzo calls out his client.

"You agree with your measurements, Amico?"

In this moment, a familiar face comes out the fitting room. It's Robert "Bobby" Manganelli. A friend of Mario's.

Bobby: It's perfect, Mr. Puzo. Thank you so much.

Puzo: It is my pleasure.

After noticing Virgil.

Bobby: I know you, don't I?

Virgil: Yeah. I'm Virgil Assante. Mario's friend.

Bobby: That's right. We met in Stratton some month's ago.

Virgil: Yeah, we did. How you been?

Bobby: I've been good. Busy, mainly. How about you? I didn't hear from you since we last met.

Virgil: I haven't really made my way to Stratton since then.

Bobby: I see. That's perfectly fine. Well, the offer still stands, should you need it.

Virgil: I appreciate it, thank you.

Bobby: Not a problem, Virgil. You have a wonderful day.

Virgil: Thank you. You too.

Bobby leaves the shop and Puzo tends to Virgil. After some time passes, Virgil will exit the shop wearing a very sharp suit. It will cost him $300. Now he can go and pick up Stefani. Once you arrive at her residence, Virgil will beep the horn twice and she will make her way into the car. Then Virgil can make his way to Mario's home.

Stefani: Wow. You're looking extremely sharp, Baby.

Virgil: Thanks. You're beautiful as always.

Stefani: You just know the right things to say.

Virgil: That's me. A hopeless romantic.

Stefani: So who's gonna be at this dinner?

Virgil: Everyone.

Stefani: ... Everyone?

Virgil: Yep. Everyone. All of my friends and their families. And my parents.

Stefani: So I can meet your parents finally?

Virgil: I suppose. That's what I'm most nervous about.

Stefani: Why:

Virgil: My mom will try to embarrass me. And my dad will try to flirt with you. Especially when he's drinking which he definitely is.

Stefani: It'll be fine, Baby.

Virgil: I sure do f*cking hope so.

Once you arrive at Mario's home, you will notice the abundance of vehicles parked on the block. Park on the marker, which will require you to parallel park. Then, Virgil and Stefani will make their way inside. You will be greeted by Mario as you come inside.

Mario: Hey! I'm so glad you made it.

Virgil: Of course. You remember Stefani, right?

Mario: Of course. Thank you so much for coming.

Stefani: Thanks for having me.

Mario: You kidding? If this sack of sh*t loves you, then of course! Come on in.

Walk in and you will meet Mario's parents, Sofia and Fredo.

Sofia: Look at you. Just look at you. You see him, Freddy?

Fredo: Young Virgil! How you been, Son?

Virgil: I've been good. I want youse to meet my girlfriend, Stefani.

Stefani: Hi. It's very nice to meet you.

Virgil: These are Mario's parents.

Sofia: She's beautiful, Virgil. [Italian]Someone you can have babies with, for sure.

Virgil: Aunt Sophy. Please.

StefaniEventually. I am also waiting for a ring.

SofiaHe will definitely give it to you. I am happy he found a beautiful Italian girl, like yourself.

Virgil: Okay now, we got more people to meet. I'll see youse later.

Fredo: That is one hell of a Gal you got there, Virgil. Do yourself a favor and keep her.

Stefani: They're so nice.

Virgil: They're not even the bad ones. Here they come.

Virgil's parents walk up to him and Stefani.

Mona: My son! How are you?

Virgil: I'm fine, Mom.

Pazzo: Virgilio, it's about f*cking time you got here. None of these squares wanna drink with me.

Virgil: I will, later on.

Mona: So, who's this?

Virgil: Mom, Dad, meet Stefani. My girlfriend.

Mona: Oh hello! I'm Mona. I'm your future Mother-in-Law.

Pazzo: And I'm Pazzo and Jesus Christ you got a nice body.

Mona: Pazzo!

Pazzo: Sorry, it's to booze talking.

Virgil: Okay, well I'll catch up with youse in a second.

Stefani: They're also nice.

Virgil: They're nightmares. Why don't you have a seat. I gotta talk to Paul.

Stefani: Sure.

Paul, Phil, and Mario will be standing together in the living room area.

Virgil: Boys!

Phil: Hey, Virgil.

Paul: Virgil, My man.

Virgil: How's things?

Paul: Things is looking good. But I look way better.

Mario: You are so full of yourself.

Paul: Yeah, I know,

Virgil: How come your mom's not here, Phil?

Phil: She's away. Where to? I don't know. I'm just glad Mickey's not coming. Me and aren't in good terms.

Virgil: You're kidding. What happened?

Phil: Some other time, Virgil.

Mario: Yes, some other time. Could you fags go f*ck yourselves somewhere? I gotta talk to Virgil.

Paul: Don't blow him too much. He might like it.

Virgil: f*ck off, Paul.

Phil: Hey, Mario.

Mario: What?

Phil: f*ck you.

Mario: Whatever. [Phil walks away] Okay, I need a favor from you.

Virgil: What is it?

Mario: Well, to put it simply. I have a very important guest coming here and I don't have his favorite wine or bread.

Virgil: Okay. And?

Mario: Can you get them for me?

Virgil: Sure. Whaddya need?

Mario: I need three, no make it four. You know what, make it five fresh loafs of Prosciutto bread and three bottles of Andolini Red Wine. I'll pay you back when you come back.

Virgil: Okay. I'll just go to Aldo's down the street and get it.

Mario: That's where the favor really is.

Virgil: What?

Mario: I need you to get it from Buscette's in Mulberry.

Virgil: You want me to drive to Mulberry in this weather?

Mario: Oh please, Virgil! I'll owe you big time. Just go now and you'll be back before you know it.

Virgil: [Sighs] I can't believe I'm doing this. Okay, fine.

Mario: Yes! Thank you so much. Remember, five fresh loafs of Prosciutto Bread and three bottles of Andolini red wine.

Virgil: And a swift kick in the ass. I got it.

As Virgil is walking out.

Stefani: Baby, where are you going?

Virgil: I gotta get some things for the dinner. I'll be right back.

Stefani: Okay/ Be careful driving.

Virgil: I will. I love you.

Stefani: I love you too.

Now Virgil leaves. Make your way to Mulberry. It will take you about 20 minutes. Maybe 30 minutes due to the weather conditions. The roads are a little icy so take precaution's while making turns. Once you arrive at the bakery, walk right in and make your order.

Baker: Can I help you?

Virgil: Yes, let me get five fresh loafs of Prosciutto bread. And do you sell Andolini wine?

Baker: We do.

Virgil: I'll take three of those.

Baker: Okay. Help yourself to the wine and your bread will be ready in about 20 minutes.

Virgil: Thank you.

Virgil will grab the three wine bottles and will sit down. Two chairs away from Virgil is an older man who sparks up conversation with Virgil. He has a very noticeable Liberty City/Alderney accent and is very  calm and soft spoken.

Old Man: Hey Kid.

Virgil: Yes?

Old Man: That's some order you just made.

Virgil: Oh, you heard that?

Old Man: Yeah. You like Prosciutto bread?

Virgil: I do, actually. Especially fresh and soft,

Old Man: Yeah. Me too. I actually like to take a piece and dip in red wine.

Virgil: Really?

Old Man: Oh yeah. It's absolutely delicious. Perfect for after you had a big meal.

Virgil: I'll have to try that tonight. I have a big family dinner to get to after this.

Old Man: Do you, now? That's beautiful.

BakerDonato. Your bread is ready.

Old ManThank you so much, Alessio. I appreciate it.

Virgil: Guess you're ready to go.

Old Man: Yeah. I also got a big family dinner to attend to. You make sure you get there safe.

Virgil: I will. Thank you.

Old Man: Oh, my pleasure. Take care.

The Old Man leaves and the Baker yells out Virgil's order next.

Baker: Five loaves of Prosciutto and three Andolini's!

Virgil: That's me.

Baker: That'll be $160.

Virgil: Holy f*ck, how much is the wine?

Baker: They're $50 each.

Virgil: Jesus. Better be good.

Baker: It's the best. Trust me. Have a good night.

Virgil: Thanks.

Virgil will carry his order to the car and put them inside right away. The winter winds are strong enough to knock someone off their balance. Virgil looks across the street and sees the Old Man again, this time just standing there as the heavy winds threaten to tip him over. His bag of bread he had just purchased falls the to snow filled ground. Virgil will rush over to help him.

Old Man: Oh, thank you so much, Kid.

Virgil: No problem at all, Sir.

Old Man: I really do appreciate it. I'm not a big fan of winter as you can tell.

Virgil: Same here.

Old Man: What's your name?

Virgil: Virgil. Virgil Assante.

Old Man: It's very nice to meet you, Virgil. Everyone calls me McGee.

Virgil: Well, McGee, it's a pleasure. Do you need a ride?

McGee: Oh, no. Thank you. My ride should be here any second.

Virgil: I can wait here with you.

McGee: That won't be necessary.

McGee waves his hand in the air, signalling someone to come to him.

McGee: My ride is already here.

A black 1971 Vapid Chino approaches McGee. A tall and intimidating man exits the car.

McGee: Hey Caine, thank you for coming.

Caine: No problem, McGee.

McGee: Pick my bags for me, will ya?

Virgil: Guess you're taken care of.

McGee: Yeah. Caine here is my son. He always makes sure I'm okay.

Caine: That's right.

McGee: Now, let's get out of here. [After he enters the passenger side of the car] Thank you, Virgil. I'll remember you.

Virgil: It's my pleasure.

McGee: Okay. Well you take care. Hopefully we'll see each others again soon. Ciao.

They will drive away and you are given the objective to return to Mario's home within the time limit. Once you arrive, Virgil will rush through the front door and will be greeted by everyone who are all seated.

Everyone in Unison: Finally.

Mario: Thank you so much, Brother. You really saved my ass. He hasn't gotten here yet.

Virgil: Who is this special guest that got me going crazy bringing bread from Mulberry?

Mario: He's coming in now.

Bobby Manganelli walks in.

Bobby: Hello, Everyone. And hello, Mario.

Mario: Bobby, thank you so much for making it.

Bobby: Of course. I wouldn't miss this for the world.

Virgil: Bobby, hey,

Bobby: Virgil, we meet again. [Towards Mario] We saw each other over at Puzo's.

Virgil: So is he your special guest?

Mario: One of them.

Bobby: Hey, Virgil. There's someone I want you to meet.

The Tall Man from Mulberry walks in.

Bobby: This is Caine Devlin. President of Local 326 in Nanticoke.

Caine: Hi, nice to meet you.

Bobby: And this is my cousin [The Old Man walks in] Donato Manganelli.

McGee: How you doing, Kid.

Virgil: Oh wow. I wasn't expecting this. [Towards Mario] We met at the bakery/

McGee: I didn't know we were going to the same family dinner.

Mario: Then I guess, there's no need for further introduction.

McGee: No need. Let all just enjoy this dinner.

Mario: Sounds good. I got your seat right over here, McGee. I got you fresh Prosciutto bread and some-

Donnie: Andolini red wine. I know. Thank you so much, Mario. You're too kind.

Everyone sits down and the dinner commences. Fast forward to the end of dinner and Virgil is seen sitting on the table talking in Italian to Donnie while eating Prosciutto bread and drinking wine.

DonnieHow long were you in the war?

Virgil: Four Years. I was stationed in Fort Cox in Alderney in 1967 and then I was sent to Vietnam in 1968.

Donnie: Hmm. Did you see any action?

Virgil: I saw a lot of things over there. Terrible things. I did terrible things.

Donnie: Did you ever have to take a life?

Virgil: That's something I don't like to talk about.

Donnie: Discretion. I can respect that. What made you go?

Virgil: I got into some trouble in 1967. I went to avoid prison.

Donnie: What happened?

Virgil: I was working for a Truck Driver's Union Organizer in Lenapia. Me and my Uncle. There were some disagreement's and someone got killed.

Donnie: Was it you?

Virgil: I'll never say it was.

Donnie: Understood. You looking for work?

Virgil: Always.

Donnie: Okay. Then you look me up in Mulberry or Stratton. Donnie Manganelli. People know who I am.

Virgil: Thank you.

Donnie: My pleasure.

The two raise their wine glass in cheers and drink up. The mission will fast forward to everyone leaving.

Mario: Thank you so much for coming and for the bread.

Virgil: No problem, Man.

Mario: Also, you just made a very good friend. Work for me, and you will be set for life. Trust me.

Virgil: I'm looking forward to it. I'll see you.

Take Stefani home.

Stefani: I know who that was you were talking to.

Virgil: Do you, now?

Stefani: Yes. Don Manganelli. a big boss.

Virgil: Really? I didn't notice.

Stefani: Don't give me that, Virgil. I know you do some dirty work with Paul but please don't go too deep with guys like him.

Virgil: Baby, you can trust me. I'm very careful. You have nothing to worry about.

Stefani: I really hope so.

Once you arrive.

Stefani: Stay with me tonight.

Virgil: Oh absolutely.

MISSION 15: Frozen - December 10th, 1971

The mission indicator will be placed over at Mario's home. Make your way there at your own time. Or feel free to free roam around the available towns in the Northeast.

Once you reach Mario's home, there will be a different vehicle parked on his driveway. A 1968 Schyster Libertonian in a rose gold type color instead of his 1971 Barbican Jet. Virgil will proceed to make his way towards the door and knocks. Mario opens the door wearing a suit and tie.

Mario: Hey, V. What's up?

Virgil: Nice piece. Someone died?

Mario: Not exactly. Come in.

Virgil will walk in and heads straight to the living and sits down. Mario sits down across from him.

Virgil: What's going on?

Mario: Not much. What's going on with you? You need something?

Virgil: Well, I was hoping to talk to you about a job.

Mario: Really?

Virgil: Yeah. Paul was the one giving me jobs but things have been dry the past few months and I'm running out of money. I see you making big moves and dressed nice. And wanted to see if there was anything I could do. I handle myself real good. You can ask Paul.

Mario: I know how you handle yourself. I've heard good things about you. And maybe I do have something for you. But I got a serious question.

Virgil: Shoot.

Mario: You ever painted a house?

Virgil: What kind of question is that?

Mario: A question that helps me find out what you're capable of.

Virgil: Look, man. You know why I joined the army.

Mario: I don't, actually.

Virgil: Look, when the time is write. I'll tell you. All you need to know is, when push comes to shove, I am capable of anything. Even painting houses.

Mario: Okay, then. Well look, if you wanna make some money today, then I got something for you. Phil's been driving me crazy about some diamonds hidden in a safe, downtown. He wants to involve me, you, and Paul. I'm not comfortable with it but I'll go if you go. We get the diamonds, split them, get paid. I know a guy in Stratton that can middle them. Whaddya say? You're looking at an easy 5 grand.

Virgil: Yeah, I'm in.

Mario: Good. I'll make the calls. Meet me over at Lansky's. We're using an empty office there to make the plans.

Virgil: Got it.

Mario: Oh, and uh, you got your little brother with you, right?

Virgil: Always.

Mario: Good. I'll see you there.

Make your way to Lansky's, the best bowling alley in Brooke-Meyer. Mario is a "manager" and occupies a small office in the back. Once you make it Lansky's, go inside and you will see Paul by the bar drinking a beer.

Virgil: Paul.

Paul: Virgil The Wop, How you doing?

Virgil: I'm doing good. I just spoke to Mario.

Paul: Yeah me too. He should be here soon.

Virgil: What about Phil?

Paul: Already on his way.

Virgil: Okay.

Phil pulls up in his 1968 Albany Emperor and goes inside.

Phil: Where's Mario?

Virgil: He'll be here soon.

Phil: Okay.

Paul: ...So Phil, I hear you're moving to Aries.

Virgil: What the f*ck, really?

Phil: Yeah. It's true.

Virgil: Why?

Phil: Honestly, because I wanna get away from all this. I'm taking my Mother and we're gonna live right by the Lake Aries. Just like she wanted.

Virgil: What about the junk?

Phil: I kicked it. And the booze. I see and think clearly now. I wanna do this last job and be on my way. But that's not all. Yous remember Cici?

Paul: Yeah.

Phil: Well, me here started dating about three months ago. I kept it a secret. And now she's pregnant.

Virgil: Holy f*ck! Are you serious?

Phil: Yeah. I'm gonna be a father.

Paul: Congratulations, Man. You're about to bring another Irish bastard into this world.

Phil: And you're gonna be his uncle, you Jew Prick.

Paul: I'd be honored,

Virgil: I'm happy for you.

Phil: Thank you, V.

Mario pulls up finally.

Mario: I'm assuming you guys heard the news about Phil?

Virgil: You knew?

Mario: Yeah. When he told me about this job. But let's continue this in my office. Follow me.

Follow Mario to the back of the bowling alley. Behind the lanes is his office, hidden in private. On his desk is a blueprint layout. The group will surround the table.

Phil: Okay, so here's the low-down. This is my last pull. Whatever I make from this, gets me out of dodge. With that said, I also wanna say, these diamonds we're getting, belong to the Polacks.

Paul: Goody.

Phil: So, know that there is some risk. But if we do it right, there should no scraps. Smooth sailing.

Mario: So what's the plan?

Phil: We're gonna go in at night. I can get the key to the service door but the office door requires a different key. We just gotta break it. Once we're in, we gotta find the rocks. From what I hear, their in a freezer being kept frozen. Keeps in the quality in, I guess, Now we need a driver, that'll be you, Virgil. A lookout, that'll be you, Paul. And two men inside, me and Mario. I'll get the ice, you clean out whatever you can get. Keep the focus away from the fact that the rocks were stolen.

Virgil: And when is this going down?

Phil: Tonight. I'm getting the key from Zimmerman. Virgil, you need to get a different car that wouldn't be linked to you. And bring your little brothers, just in case. Nothing heavy. Got it?

Paul: Yeah.

Mario: I got it.

Virgil: I got it.

Phil: Okay, good. Then let's head out to do some recon.

Virgil: Nice use of that word, Private Dancer.

Phil: f*ck off.

The group will make their way outside to the parking lot. They will stand in front of the entrance together.

Mario: If this goes well, we're looking at a good Christmas.

Virgil: Yeah. When are you leaving, Phil?

Phil: After New Years. Take a break after this job then head out to Aries to live a whole new life.

Paul: Believe it or not, you're the lucky one out of all of us.

Phil: I feel lucky. I feel-

BANG

A sudden gun shot is heard. Everyone looks around to see where it came from. Then another shot is heard, this time, it hits Phil in the chest. Phil falls to the ground, bleeding from the chest as the shooter continues to fire at the group. Mario and Paul take cover and fire back, Virgil stays with Phil while holding him.

Virgil: Come on, Philly. Don't you die on me. Please, Philly, please!

Phil is losing a lot of blood. He's starting to breathe slower and slower. The gun fight still continues. Phil draws his final breath.

Phil: Vir...Virgil. The luck of the Irish...ain't sh*t.

Virgil: Come on, Phil. You're gonna make it. Don't talk crazy.

Phil: I got... the luck of... the Costigan...

Phil dies in Virgil's arms. Virgil cries and tells Mario and Paul. The shooter keeps firing but Mario and Paul stop and look at Phil's corpse.

Mario: Not Phil. No, no, no! Not Phil!

Paul: I'm gonna kill the f*ckers that did this.

Virgil looks out towards the streets and notices the shooter enters a 1968 Barbican Monitor and speeds off. He looks at Phil gives him a goodbye kiss to his forehead and lays him down on the cold asphalt then closes his eyes. He then gets up and enters his car and chases the shooter. Paul hops in with Virgil and Mario gets in Phil's car. The chase commences.

You must get past the slow traffic while trying to catch up the Shooter. The roads are still full of snow so controlling your vehicle will have some difficulties. Especially during turns. Whenever you get close to the tail of the shooter, Paul will begin firing at the vehicle. You can attempt to hit it but the Barbican Monitor is faster than Virgil's Vapid Olvido. There will be no police interference during this chase. Maneuvering in Brooke-Meyer will prove difficult due to dense traffic. However, once the chase makes it to Deer Creek, it gets easier. No traffic or sharp turns. By then, the shooter will turn into a dirt road surrounded by trees. Keep up the pursuit, there are a lot of turns on this road. But on the fifth mile on the road is a straight shot for two miles. Take that opportunity to help Paul line up his shots. Once he has it, he'll shoot out the tires of the car, causing it to flip. Once it is destroyed, the shooter and the driver will run away. You must chase them on foot. The driver will run onto another road where Mario will run him over, killing him instantly. You must chase the shooter, who will shoot back so use the trees as covers. Eventually, the shooter will have no where else to run to as he will find himself on the edge of the Davenport River with no more ammo. You now face the shooter with your gun drawn. Press L2/R1 to aim at him.

Virgil: You killed my friend. Why?

ShooterYour friend had to go. It's business. Nothing personal.

There will be a long pause in silence as Virgil looks at the shooter. You will be prompted to press R2/R1 to shoot. Before Virgil fires-

Virgil: Well this just got personal.

Virgil shoots him, emptying the clip on him, killing him. His body falls over the edge, into the water. Paul and Mario are behind Virgil the whole time.

Mario: When push comes to shove. Someone's gotta die.

Paul: I'm glad you did it. Now you've proven to us who you really are.

Virgil: And who am I?

Mario: A killer. Like all of us.

Paul: We should go.Let's all take Virgil's car. I'll drive this time.

Everyone will enter the car, Paul will drive out of the area. There will be silence up until Mario breaks the silence with a question.

"So why was it you went to the Army, Virgil?"

Virgil takes a moment before he responds. After a deep breath, he begins explaining.

Virgil: Yous remember when I started working the truck depot in Freetown?

Mario: Yeah.

Virgil: I did it for a while. But I wasn't working in no office. My Uncle Sonny got me connected to some Irish guy named Jimmy McGrath.

Mario: I know him, he organizes the Truck Drivers Union in Lenny.

Virgil: Right. Well, I was strong arming trucking companies all through the region and beyond to join his union. At the same time, he had Phil's uncle, Mickey, doing the same thing. Phil helped a few times. Anyway, There was this one trucking company, Byron's was the name. The owner wouldn't join. No matter how much bullsh*t we threw at him. He wouldn't budge. So Sonny tells me to burn up his trucks. So I did. Didn't think much of it. I just did it.

Paul: That's the kind of can-do attitude that makes you profit.

Virgil: But, instead of scaring the guy to join the union... he went to the cops. Told them about everything we were doing. So one day, Sonny sends me to talk to him.

Mario: To talk or to "talk?"

Virgil: To persuade him to reconsider.

At this moment, a Flashback Mission will commence.

Flashback Mission 2: What Goes Up, Must Come Down - September 28th, 1967.

Young 23-year-old Virgil is sitting in a 1964 Classique Stallion in Lenapia, parked across the street from an apartment building. A red 1967 Schyster Bayadere pulls up across the street, the driver signals Virgil to approach him. He walks up to the passenger window and it's his uncle, Santino "Sonny" Bardi. A Capo for the Dovi Crime Family in Empire City, Alderney. His nephew and Virgil's cousin, Michele "Mickey" Coniglio, is driving.

Virgil: Hey, Sonny.

Sonny: Hey, Virgil. You doing okay?

Virgil: Yeah. So what is it you need me to do?

Sonny: That asshole lives on the third floor. Apartment 3F. He already went to the cops but there's still time for him to un-f*ck this whole situation. Just talk to him. Don't kill him unless you have to.

Virgil: Hopefully it won't come to that.

Sonny: Take this. [Hands Virgil a .38] This guy is a chicken-sh*t. Just show it to him, he'll sh*t his pants.

Virgil: Okay. How you doing, Mick?

Mickey: I'm doing okay.

Sonny: Taking him under my wing after he graduates. Good luck, Virgil.

Make your way upstairs to apartment 3F. Knock on the door, Micah Snowdon opens the door. Virgil kicks it open, knocking him down to the ground,

Virgil: We need to talk.

Micah: Wait, wait. Please don't hurt me!

Virgil: You just rat us out. Sonny ain't really happy about that.

As Virgil is speaking, Micah is slowly reaching for a knife near him.

Virgil: So, you're gonna go to the police and retract your statement. Don't make me hurt you even further.

Micah: f*ck you!

Micah attempts to stab Virgil but he manages to dodge it. Now you must fight Micah. Micah isn't much of an experience fighter. Virgil, however, took boxing courses so his fighting is more efficient. During the fight, Virgil will throw Micah towards the window and points the .38 at him. Micah halts and puts his hands in the air.

Micah: Please don't shoot me.

Virgil: I ain't gonna shoot you, Micah.

Virgil puts the gun down then rushes to Micah and gives one last devastating punch to the punch. A punch so hard, it throws Micah back into the open window and he falls all the way down and hits the sidewalk. Dies on impact. Virgil looks out the window and looks the corpse without showing any emotion. He calmly walks out of the building and to his car and drives away.

Back to 1971

I knew someone saw me. The front door was surrounded by people. I wasn't trying to go to prison, so I join the Army. And then, I ended in Vietnam. And another thing, I killed a lot. I was in the 196th Brigade and saw a lot of action. I even killed some of my own men for interfering in my heroin business. I was just too ashamed to say it. But now you know... I was always a killer. And you know what, I'm damn good at it. No more questions.

The mission will end with Virgil going to sleep in his safehouse.

MISSION 16: For Phil... - December 14th, 1971

In your safe house, your phone will ring. Go over and pick it up.

Virgil: Hello?

Mario: V, it's Mario. Just shut up and listen. You need to meet me and Paul at the junk yard in Arborton. Bring your little brother, too. We'll be on Winter Street. Hurry up.

Virgil: Got it.

After Virgil hangs up the phone, rush to your vehicle and make your way to the Arborton junk yard. Winter Street takes you straight to the main entrance. Paul and Mario will be parked two blocks away in Paul's Brigand. Exit your vehicle and approach them.

Paul: Hope you brought some winter gear. We're about to walk into a sh*t blizzard.

Virgil: What are you talking about?

Mario: In that junk yard, are the people responsible for killing Phil.

Virgil: Who are they?

Paul: Polish gang out of Lenapia. Took some doing but we managed to get information out of one of their lackey's.

Mario: Turns out, it goes deeper. Earlier this year, the Costigan's started running drugs for Caine Devlin out of Lenny. AKA, the garbage business. Something the Polacks were running smoothly for years. The Irish move in and things get ugly.

Paul: Phil buried a few of their guys. In return, they killed a couple of his friends.

Virgil: Who?

Paul: Ben Queenan and Scar Berkery

Virgil: Are you serious? I worked with them over the summer.

Mario: So you know about the heroin. That's what caused the fight. Since then, they've been fighting. But they were after Phil for some time. They waited until he was vulnerable... Around us.

Paul: And they knew he was trying to leave. And they killed him just to ruin that. Those f*ckers gotta go.

Virgil: How many are they?

Mario: All of them. This is their base.

Virgil: There's only three of us.

Mario: I know. But nobody can know we're doing this. So we gotta come up with a plan.

Paul: Yeah, Army Boy. Why don't come up with one of those infantry plans.

Virgil: [After a brief pause] I may have an idea. I'm already familiar with the junkyard. I know that the center warehouse is destroyed. Meaning they only have the large garage at the north side of the yard to utilize. Between us and the garage is three whole miles of open ground. So they should have multiple men scattered. What weapons we working with?

Mario: Check Paul's trunk.

In Paul's trunk are a Semi-Auto Shotgun and a Bekowsky Model 69 Sniper. You can select both to carry.

Virgil: I can make this work. You guys position yourselves at opposite sides of the yard. I'm gonna find a vantage point and pick off some men. Soon as you hear the first shot, go in guns-a-blazing. Got it?

Both: Yes, Sir.

Virgil: Good. I'll meet you guys at the garage.

Look for a vantage point. There are three you can choose from. The hill at the right side of the junkyard gives you a clear view of the right side and half of the garage, but you will only be able to cover Paul.

The roof of a foreclosed home on Rudy Street gives you a clear view of the whole yard, except for the garage.

Then there's I-18 which is behind the junkyard, but you can only scope out the garage which has the most men.

Choose wisely. Once you pick off your first target, Paul and Mario will advance forward. When you see them taking cover, that means you must clear their paths so they can push forward. Use the gas canisters to your advantage to kill more at once. Keep a lookout for other snipers. There's two. Find them and take them out, fast. Keep providing support until Paul and Mario make it to the garage, from there, you can go and rendezvous with them. On your word, you will lead the group inside where a multitude of armed men are shooting at you. Shoot and kill them all. After a while, a time limit will appear. Indicating that the police will arrive once the timer hits 0. Take this moment to utilize Virgil's combat skills. You can charge an enemy and take them down in a swift motion. Virgil's accuracy with the pistol is impeccable, however, with the shotgun, the recoil knocks his aim of kilter. Be sure to use the pistol for ranged attacks and the shotgun for close-counters. After all of the men are dead, the leader will run out and attempt to escape on foot. Take aim of your sniper and you can either shoot him in the head, killing him instantly. Or shoot him in the leg to stop him, so you can go up and kill him personally. After that's done-

Mario: That was f*cking crazy.

Paul: Seriously. That was some nice shooting, V.

Virgil: Thanks. So is that the end of them?

Mario: I hope so. I'm not trying to get into another fight like that for a long while. Now let's get out of here before the cops pinch us. By the way, I picked this up from one of the guards, you take it, V. Hopefully it's enough for this work. [Hands Virgil an envelope]

Virgil: I appreciate it. I'll see yous later.

Rush to your vehicle and drive away.

MISSION 17: Blood Stained Snow - December 23rd, 1971

A huge blizzard falls upon New Sylvania. The streets are near empty, barely any drivers on the thick snow. 12 inches fell in the morning. An additional 7 inches fell over the afternoon. Safe to say, no one should be outside.

In Virgil's safehouse, he hears a knock on the door. He'll approach the door slowly while holding a pistol. After opening the door, just a crack, he realizes it's Ruben.

Ruben: Hiya, Kid.

Virgil: Ruben? What are doing here?

Ruben: I'd like to tell you, inside.

Virgil: I'm sorry. Come in.

Ruben enters the apartment. He brushes off the snow off his shoulders and Virgil hands him a small serving of whiskey on the rocks.

Ruben: Thank you. This will surely warm up. Especially in these conditions.

Virgil: So how can I help you?

Ruben: I need one last favor.

Virgil: Last?

Ruben: Yes. I'm going to back to Henderson, for good this time.

Virgil: Why?

Ruben: I got a few good years left in me before retirement. I'd much rather spend them in my home with my wife.

Virgil: That's good. I'm happy for you.

Ruben: Yeah. But I can't leave without tying up some loose ends.

Virgil: Like what?

Ruben: I hear you've become a painter.

Virgil: Not yet. Just got into some crazy situations.

Ruben: Well, here's your first paint job. Felix Voitek. [Reaches inside coat and takes out photo] That's him.

Virgil: Charming guy.

Ruben: Yeah. Real f*cking charming. He needs to go. I'm willing to pay you 5,000 for this mark.

Virgil: Okay. Where do I find him?

Ruben: He lives on 18 Jones Street here in Brooke-Meyer. Drives a pristine '68 Bravado Miter.

Virgil: Family?

Ruben: Wife and kids. Don't kill him in his home. Draw him out. I gotta go. Take this [Hands Virgil an envelope] Good luck, Kid....Oh and another thing. He loves that f*cking car. With good reason. Doesn't like people f*cking with it. Take care, now.

You are now given your first Paint Job. Each Paint Job, you'll be given a name, picture of the target, home address, last known location, and weakness.

PAINT JOB #1

Picture

Name: Voitek, Felix B.

Home: 18 Jones Street - Brooke-Meyer, NS

Last Location: Home

Weakness: Car

Price: $5,000

Note: Do not kill him in his home. Draw him out.

After reviewing the details, make your way to the home. Remember, the streets is covered in snow and there is low visibility that you can use to your advantage.

Once you arrive, the car is parked on the street but not directly in front of the home. It is a quiet night so a loud enough sound will draw out interested people. You can approach the car and break a window. The sound should linger in the air enough to capture Felix's attention. Hide out so he doesn't see you. He will exit his home from the front door and make his way to the car with a bat on hand. This is your opportunity to creep up behind him. Draw your gun and make your way towards him. Felix will be inspecting the car. Find your perfect moment to strike. Remember, it's a quiet night. Make it only one quick shot. Aim for his head and fire. His body will fall to the blood stained snow and you must make a quick exit but not too crazy. Drive away calmly. Drive erratically and it will be reported to the police. After each Paint Job, there will be an on going police investigation for a while. So your performance is vital. Once you leave the area calmly, you have finished the mission.

MISSION 18: A Torn Christmas - December 24th, 1971

Make your way to Mario's home. Everyone is there celebrating Christmas. When you get there, Virgil can walk right in.

Virgil: Merry Christmas, everyone.

Everyone: Merry Christmas!

Virgil will walk through the house without any emotion. Not happy nor sad, just blank. Virgil is full of void after revealing his true self to his friends. He can kill with no remorse and now knows that he can make money off that profession. Something he didn't want to do, but enjoys doing it and is ashamed that he enjoys it. He only cracks a smile when he sees Stefani standing by herself in the kitchen. He goes and gives her a hug.

Stefani: Merry Christmas to you to.

Virgil: I love you. You know that, right?

Stefani: Of course.

Virgil: And you love me, right?

Stefani: What the hell is this, Virgil? You know I do.

Virgil: No matter what.

Stefani: Baby, I love you more than anything in this world. Which is why I want to give you this big news,

Virgil: What?

Stefani: Well, I found out from the doctors... I'm three weeks pregnant. We're gonna have a baby.

Virgil: Are you serious? I'm gonna be a Dad?

Stefani: [Crying] Yes. We're gonna be parents.

Virgil: Madonna Mia, thank you! I finally have a purpose in life.

Stefani: I'm gonna love having this baby with you. But promise me one thing.

Virgil: Anything.

Stefani: You will not get yourself killed. You are going to live and be in this child's life, no matter what. I know what life you're involved in. Do what you gotta do to provide for your new family. Just don't get yourself killed. I refuse to raise any child of ours without you. Do you hear me?

Virgil: I hear you, Baby. I promise.

Stefani: Good.

They share another hug. Mario calls Virgil over.

Mario: V! Come here.

Mario leads Virgil to a small office in the basement where Don Manganelli is seated alongside Caine Devlin and John Dovi, boss of the Lenapia Family.

Mario: Here he is, gentleman.

McGee: Hey, Kid. How you doing?

Virgil: I'm good. Thanks.

McGee: You remember Caine, right?

Virgil: Yeah, of course. How are ya?

Caine: I'm good.

McGee: I wanna introduce you to a good friend of mine, John Dovi from Lenapia.

John: How you doing?

McGee: We wanna talk business with you, Virgil.

Virgil: What kind of business?

McGee: Painting houses type business. We hear good things. Very good things.

John: Interesting things. If you're interested.

McGee: Are you interested?

Virgil: ... I am.

McGee: That's great news, Son. We're all very glad. So let's get started. Here's how it works, I might tell you to pay someone a visit. Give them a paint job or send them to Australia. Down under. You do a good job, we'll pay you handsomely. John, here, might have jobs for you, too. Caine, as well.

John: I got a lot of new jobs popping up soon. Whenever you're in Lenapia, you find me.

McGee: If I have a job for you, you can find me either at my home in Kensington or over at La Isabella. It's my favorite restaurant.

Caine: I'll call you if I have a job for you. I'm not in the area as much.

McGee: Now don't think you're limited. You can go ahead and be a freelancer. Or if need our connections to start up business, we'll give it to you. Just know, we get a cut. To put it simply, you don't f*ck with us, we won't f*ck with you. That goes for anything. I make myself clear?

Virgil: Yes, Sir.

McGee: Good. I'm putting Mario in charge of some businesses in Mulberry so he's gonna have to move there. There's gonna be some changes. Now that Ruben Nebish is away, he won't cause any noise over here. Any of you guys have anything to say?

John: I got a couple. Whatever you do, don't trace anything back to you or to us. We need total discretion. If you can manage that, you can look forward to a long and profitable partnership.

McGee: That's right. Now, if there's nothing else, let's go and enjoy this lovely Christmas party.

Everyone leaves to join the party but Mario and Virgil stay behind.

Mario: It ain't the same without Philly.

Virgil: No, it's not. Where's Paul?

Mario: He's here. He was in the bathroom when you got here. Look, Man. This life is heavy. I'm sure you can handle it but still, it is heavy as f*ck. Just keep your nose clean and they'll make you damn near rich. Don't cross nobody. I can't stress that enough. It's easy to get killed out here. Remember that.

Virgil: I got it.

Mario: Good. Now let's go up.

Mario and Virgil go upstairs just in time. It's now two minutes til Christmas. Virgil hugs his parents and Stefani the whole time. Virgil now feels emotion. He feels happy. He's going to have a kid and he'll be able to provide the kid a very good life with money. Exactly what he wanted. As soon as the clock strikes midnight-

Everyone: Merry Christmas!

The camera will pan to the ceiling until a black screen pops up. The text "End of Chapter 1" will appear. The game will automatically save at this point. The next mission will commence automatically.

Mission 19: Happy Birthday - June 9th, 1972

After completing Chapter 1, this next mission will commence automatically. The text “End of Chapter 1” will appear in the center of a black screen. Then it will fade out, showing Sunny Brooke-Meyer. On the bottom left, it reads “June 9th, 1972”.

Schools Out by Alice Cooper is playing as the camera shows shots of the beautiful Summer of North East New Sylvania. There are newer vehicles in the streets, people are wearing their Summer gear, the water on the Davenport River is a beautiful blue, and a breathtaking shot of the entire valley is shown as the camera pans over the region.

The camera positions itself in a top-down view as it zooms into Downtown Kensington over a 1971 Dundreary Admiral. Exiting the vehicle is Virgil, wearing more dapper clothing. He walks through the parking lot of La Isabella, towards the entrance.

The music ends after Virgil enters the restaurant. He approaches the Host.

Host: Hello, Mr. Assante. How are you in this beautiful Friday?
Virgil: I’m doing great, Richie. It’s my birthday today.
Richie: Really? Happy Birthday!
Virgil: Thank you. Is Mario here?
Richie: Yes. Right this way. Follow me.

Richie leads Virgil to where Mario is seated. Upon approaching the booth, Mario stands up to greet Virgil with a hug.

Mario: Happy Birthday, Virgil.
Virgil: Thanks, Man.
Mario: Have a seat. [After sitting down] Hey, Rich. Can you get me the breakfast special and some of your best red wine?
Richie: Of course, Mr. Polisi. Anything for you, Mr. Assante?
Virgil: Same thing. But I want some scotch-whiskey, straight.
Richie: Excellent. I’ll bring your order out soon.
Mario: Thank you, Rich.

Richie walks away to the kitchen.

Mario: You familiar with Selwyn Jewelry in Brooke-Meyer?
Virgil: Yeah. Diamond guy from Broker.
Mario: That’s right. Well, some friends from Liberty City want him gone.
Virgil: He connected?
Mario: Not anymore. He was protected by Sal Bananas. But now that he’s gone, he’s fair game. This contract was sent from the Ancelotti’s to McGee to us. You’re looking at an easy $2,000.
Virgil: Okay. When do they want it done?
Mario: Today. Make it look like a robbery gone wrong. But no witnesses. He closes the shop at 8 but stays til 10 at night. It’ll still be crowded in the streets so plan it carefully.
Virgil: I can handle it.
Mario: I know you can. [Reaches inside blazer and takes out a yellow envelope. Hands it to Virgil] Here you go. Got any plans tonight?
Virgil: Yeah. Meeting Paul at Teberio’s tonight. You should come.
Mario: Sure, why not. It’s a special occasion.

Richie returns with their orders and places it on the table. Both Virgil and Mario say thief thank you and begin eating. Time will fast forward up until they finish. Virgil will walk out after saying bye to Mario. Now you have control.

Enter your car

Your first destination will be your home. You may realize that your home is not in Brooke-Meyer, but in North Kensington. Upon arrival, you will see your house. A suburban white home with a white picket fence and large front porch. Park your car on the driveway. Your default vehicle will spawn there from now on.

Enter your home

Once you enter, you will be greeted by Stefani who is now seven-months-pregnant and wearing an engagement ring. The two share a hug and a kiss.

Stefani: Happy Birthday, Baby.
Virgil: Thanks, Babe. I love you.
Stefani: I love you too.
Virgil: I just came by to pick up a few things. I got a job. But here, take this. [Hands Stefani $500] That’s for you.

Stefani hugs and kisses Virgil again.

Stefani: Thanks, Baby. Oh, could you help me with something upstairs?
Virgil: Sure. Lead the way.

Stefani leads Virgil to the nursery room for their child. A baby blue room with childish designs of animals, a massive white baby crib with a blue canopy placed above, and soothing piano music coming from a music box on the dresser.

Stefani: What do you think?
Virgil: I think it looks beautiful. Virgil Junior will love this.
Stefani: We are not naming him Virgil Junior. He’ll be named Francesco Virgilio Assante.
Virgil: It’s a beautiful name.

They hug and kiss.

Virgil: I gotta go. Might be out til late.
Stefani: It’s okay, Baby. Have fun.

Virgil makes his way to his basement where he has weapons and other essentials stored. He picks up a red bolt cutter and his “Little Brother” a .38 revolver. He will then head outside.

Go to Selwyn Jewelry

On your way there, a news broadcast will interrupt the music.

News: Reports of a tropical hurricane making its way to America has been made. Although it hasn’t struck any land from the Caribbean, Meteorologists suggests that we stay in tune for the progress of this hurricane. If by any chance it hits our fair state, New Sylvania, it can cause a flood. More to come about this hurricane soon.

Proceed to Selwyn Jewerly. Once you arrive, park across the street. Time will fast forward to late at night. Selwyn Jewelry is closed but the lights are still on and the owner is seen doing an inventory check.

Enter the shop

The streets are still crowded so going right in the front is a huge risk. Time to improvise. There is a side entrance to the right where it can’t be seen by the public. The door is open, walk right in and make your way to Selwyn.

Kill Selwyn

He is still out front, you need to draw him to the back. Interact with a vase to throw on the ground to break. Selwyn will react and go towards it. But wait, you need this to be quiet and you only have a revolver. In the office area, there is a plush pillow placed on a chair. Take it to suppress the shot. Position yourself in a dark corner. Selwyn will come in to investigate the broken base. Aim your weapon at him. Around the aim indicator will be a red circle, let it fill up to the end and pull the fire trigger. That will unlock a special execution. Virgil will grab Selwyn with the pillow around his head and bring him to the floor. He will press the pillow over his face and aim his gun at his face. Pull R2/R1 to shoot the gun. Selwyn’s body will stop moving.

Loot the shop

You still need to make this look like a robbery so all of the diamonds and jewels you can and rob the cash register, which will contain $278. Afterwards, exit through the side entrance again and get into your vehicle.

Go to Lino’s Tailor

Your clothes will be disheveled and bloody. Lino will get you a new suit and dispose of your current suit. Your new suit will cost $200. You can leave.

Go to Teberio’s

Make your way there and a cutscene will show Virgil entering the bar. Paul and Mario will be at the bar already.

Paul: Birthday boy! You finally made it.
Virgil: Sorry. Got held up at work.
Mario: Everything okay?
Virgil: Everything’s perfect.
Mario: Good. Now let’s drink.
Paul: Hey, V. Before we get sh*t-faced, I’m gonna tell you now. After this, we gotta talk.
Virgil: Something serious?
Paul: Don’t worry about that. Just remember. Okay?
Virgil: Okay.
Paul: Good. Now drink up, Birthday Boy! We got a whole lot of unspeakable things to do tonight.

The trio will drink. A montage of moments from that night will show in this sequence as Outa Space by Billy Preston plays in the background.

  • Virgil, Paul, and Mario taking shots at the bar
  • Paul and Mario playing billiards
  • Virgil popping a bottle of champagne
  • A beautiful woman approaching Virgil
  • The two snorting cocaine in the bathroom
  • Virgil leaving with her

You will wake up in another house with the same woman from the previous laying next to you, naked. It is 10 AM. Virgil will get dressed and leave $50 on her nightstand.

Leave the house

Once you get outside, you have finished the mission.

Mission Passed
