Two different server types

Hey guys,

Obviously we got the first beta update today and like many people we want to test to see what changes were made to value for animal parts as R* mentions; "Balancing the values of select pelts, skins and fish". We have also seen several posts or topics about wanting no PvP in freeroam option, do to other people killing you on the way to the butcher to sell whatever animal parts you have.

So with these two things I would like to propose an idea for two different servers. One server is no PvP allowed in freeroam; hunt, fish, take out hangouts, and the loot rewards are all yours. But the second server allows for PvP but you get a 50% bonus on value for selling things. I would say the server you acquire the item in is the value you get for it, not the server you sell it in. Higher risk server gives out higher rewards.

It would just be pointless to have the two different servers with no incentive to be in one where somebody could kill you and take your carcasses; that server would be a desert. Needs to be some kinda of incentive and I think that would be enough of a draw to keep enough people in a PvP server.

But sometimes I just want to ride around, hunt, and not be bothered by other jerks. And the non-PvP server would be nice for that.

What you guys think?

PvE/invite sessions, no exclusions or penalties.

For PvP players, the fight they want is the reward.

I think they did it right the first time...

Normal

Hardcore

Friendly

Yes! This is the perfect split.

Normal - as the game is now.

Hardcore - Freeaim, no blips except to indicate gunfire.

Friendly - No PvP, lock-on aiming

Immunity after exiting stores for a short time would fix that

Not for a PvE player, nor a free aim player. Both are hampered and there's an obvious fix.

Friendly should also allow free aim

I doubt it will. The minimum numbernof lobby types is better as to bot split people too much. Lock on aiming against AI isn’t really an issue, because NPCs don’t have the same issues locking on so there the Challenge can be balanced in other ways.

Freeaim has the most impact on gameplay in a PvP environment.

Friendly should allow any aim setting, since there is no pvp it shouldn't matter.

Also a friendly reminder for everyone who hasn't done so already, to request this to R* at their feedback page. This will likely be our only chance!

Indeed. Lost count now, but well into triple figures, lol.

Precisely. On friendly lobbies players can have different aim setting and it won’t be a problem.

And yes, do submit feedback about this. They should at least give us a statement about their intentions very soon.

With the number of players this game has, they can get away with more than three lobby types, splitting people up isn't a problem when sessions don't hold that many people anyways and the game has millions of players. Just have four lobby types, it's not like the game is suffering from a lack of people playing, and adding these session types would probably cause a lot of players that would otherwise quit to stick around longer.

PvE

PvE free aim

PvP

PvP hardcore (no blip until weapon fired, free aim)
