Bugged horse insurance

So I finally managed to accrue 5 gold bars for horse insurance for my Arabian. But.... it doesn't seem to work. Everytime I load in a server I get a prompt saying my horse is dead. Then we I go to the stable to retrieve it I still have to pay the fee to revive it. Is anyone having a similar issue?
