ChefCrimson
Is there a guideline on how long it takes for a carcass to become rotten and unsellable? And, do they degrade slower when in the cold mountain temps (when they're basically refrigerated) vs. when in the hot desert? Ingrobny
Penicuikscotland2010
They rot pretty quick for me. Can't remember exactly how long but i'm sure it's less than 24hrs. As for the temperature thing i have no idea but that's interesting and i would like to know this too. Ingrobny

CrimsonFolo
They also degrade faster when being eaten by birds or other scavengers from my experience.
Scaeva
Things seem to degrade fast in the bayou region as well when it is hot. Or at least the alligator snapping turtles do. I killed one not far from the outskirts of Saint Denis, threw it on my horse with the intent of delivering it to camp as food, and it was attracting flies before I got back to Shady Belle even though I didn't detour during the ride home.
