Do posse leaders make more money on missions?

Recommended Posts

RED_DEADMAN

So, a friend of mine is convinced that I have been secretly earning more money that others since I am normally the posse leader. He claims that he received $250 on a mission (the fort mercer mission) because he was the posse leader and that I also "received" the same when we ran together during a quick launch of the same mission. I HAVE noticed small differences in earnings. for example, last night on a mission with a random I received $8.21 and he got $8.09. Now I don't know for sure if that was because I was posse leader or if it was because I killed all but 2 of the enemies because he was trying to hogtie people the whole time.

So my question is this.....are mission earnings equally for the entire posse or are they different? Does individual performance factor in or even leadership? Any help/proof would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I did the fort mercer mission with a buddy yesterday and he said he got $9, but my cash went from ~$550 to $830 and I was the posse leader at the time. I thought the only difference being was I made a persistent posse for me and my friends so I thought the game was giving me some kind of compensation having paid $200.

Or maybe its bugged, who knows.

Let me ask you this? Was it your first time completing that mission and was it also the next story mission FOR YOU? I ask because I would bet that EVERYONE gets $250 for doing that mission the 1st time they complete it in chronological order. Basically, you can do that mission anytime you want with quick launch but only once as a part of your individual story mission series. Since you were posse leader that means you were doing YOUR story mission which is why you got extra money. If you would have quick joined that story mission then everyone would have got about the same.  I'm trying to decipher as to whether or not posse leaders get bonus cash EVERY TIME. I havent made it to that particular mission In my story yet so when i completed it as posse leader in quick join I only received like 10 bucks.

I think like Heists and missions in GTAO, it's based upon who killed the most enemies, didn't need redrawn, ect. I could be wrong, just a hunch.

The only thing that bothers me is apparently posse leaders can make decisions for the whole group without their approval?

I accepted a random posse invite and next thing i know i get forced into a mission without the game asking me "Do you want to join?" (Really, R*. This is basic stuff!) I was in the middle of clearing a gang hideout. <_<

The Fort Mercer mission is the end of the story campaign (what's available of it so far) and comes with a hefty one-time payout for the person who initiates it. In the case of a posse, the leader's missions are displayed for all members on the map but only the leader gets credited for completion. The others get the small, regular payout and if you were to replay the mission, even as leader, you would only get the small regular payout everytime after the first.

AGREE 100% RITHRIUS. Such a basic feature to not have implemented.  Or some sort of queue/accept timer.

It’s Fort Wallace though isn’t it? Or am I remembering it wrong. The dishonourable mission for Simon Finch.

For the time being, the final mission is at Fort Mercer. This is where most people get stuck at the "75% story". At this point i assume they have to gain or reduce their honor to complete the missions they missed earlier because of either being at high or low honor at the time, which makes up the final 25%.

I'd say poor planning on Rockstar's part, but i know that they know perfectly well what they did there, making you pay 3G to Jones to switch your honor level... And with apparently much more story to come, well you know where this is going... 🙄

Isn’t the 75% at 6/8 missions? I tanked my honour after that and got 2 missions

Thing is, the 3 missions you have to do for the sheriffs across the map help define what your honor level is. After that, you get 2 missions based on what level of honor you have, and then you get the mission at Fort Mercer. That is the final mission. After that, you would need to raise or lower your honor level depending on what honor you had before to unlock the other two missions. If you had high honor before, you'd need to lower it. If you started out with low honor, you'd need to raise it.

If this is going to be Rockstar's formula for future story mission releases, you can bet there'll be more of this honor crap going on before the story is finished.

The way they handle the honour missions could have been done better but honour playing a role in RDO could be a great thing potentially, and switching it instantly easily would sorta defeat the purpose. Not that it's difficult to change your honour mind you, repeating the good honour missions will make it fly up, as does hunting. To tank it just got slaughter a town for half an hour.

That option to switch it for gold bars is like horse insurance, a basically pointless luxury, especially if you can devote an hour or two to changing your honour.

Well I appreciate all the info because this is all stuff I'm about to take part in and I had no idea about the honor requirements. But........DOES ANYONE know if posse leaders always get the lions share of mission profits or if it is equal???????? That's the question.

It's equal.

You only get the money reward once and you only get it if the mission was started from free-roam, quick joins and starts from the story progress menu won't give  you the money.

Once you've done a mission the amount you earn for repeating it is RNG I think? It goes down the more you do it though.

It's really, bleh for replays. Did the finale with only 1 other person. $10.38 Took maybe 10mins. (minus ammo costs)

Like.. kill 4 herons and sell the feathers for $15 Takes (if lucky) 5 mins. (40c for ammo)

R* really need to buff the repeat mission payouts and strangers. I enjoy those gameplay loops, but they pay so little :(
