Callahan44 Posted December 5, 2018 Share Posted December 5, 2018 Atm hunting is the best you can do for both honor and money. Both doesnt really make sense,honor even less then money. How would you balance it? Firstly,honor. Atm you get honor every 5 kills or so,i honestly dont understand it. But it feels like killing 5 other players and then killing 10 animals just for fun makes you a good person... How it could work: bad honor if you kill animals without skinning them. Good honour if 4 of the last 5 animals you killed were perfect,because you only hunt what you need. You would probably rarely change your honor with this system,but imo hunting isnt the place for it,so np. And payment...the biggest problem is the bad payment for everything besides hunting,so buff everything. Herons etc should either be rarer or you should get less money. You get a lot of money for owl feathers as well,but the problem with herons is how common they are. Also skins that you put on the horse should be worth a little more. If you kill red ones(so revenge for example) you shouldnt lose honor. The whole system doesnt work,it doesnt have any effects atm as well as far as i know. Especially considering you're providing every butcher in the known world with a surplus of meats and pelts, but Rockstar threw that premise out the window with Online anyway. The single player game is a perfect harmony of realism, while the Online mode is a dump of gameplay mechanics meant to be used and exploited. Yes,at the moment...but like i said i dont know any benefit of honor. In the stats you can see you can get discounted prices like in sp,but im max honor and got no bonus. So rockstar seems to know it doesnt work. the fact that they even added new shops for honor makes me think honor could be really important in the near future. You can't transport a carcass if you have one of those on the back of your horse, and you can't transport THEIR carcass regardless. $10-12 ought to do it. You gain a ton of honor just feeding and brushing your horse. IDK why hunting suddenly feels to you like a bridge too far. Want high honor? Don't play like a dick. Feeding a horse is a good thing,killing every animal you see is not. It would make more sense to get bad honor. Agree on large animal pelts. What especially bothers me is that a Small Alligator is therefore worth more than a Large Gator, since you can grab the whole carcass ($6.50 for the Small Gator carcass vs $3.50 for the Large Gator skin).
