Then once you get to the point where Horley takes you to change your clothes, those clothes that are offered to you are randomly generated. Once you get the clothes you want, layer on as much clothes as you can, you can take it off later if you don't like it but still keep anything you are wearing for free. I never tried this but you can give it a shot if you want, right when Horley takes your character to change their clothes, and if the clothes they offer aren't what you want.. restart your xbox/ps4.. reload and see if there are new clothes options available. That won't work. The outfit options are generated as soon as you start the game. Restarting entirely is the only option. areyouchappin

I reloaded the game and got the exact same options three times in a row.
TiberiusMcQueen
I get that randomizing the options adds some variety to the different characters starting out, but sometimes the game is just unfair. Some characters will start out with two coat options, two vest options, a few shirt options, multiple pants and boots to choose from, spurs, and a couple hats including the stalker hat, meanwhile others are given ugly pants and boots, a worn out oversized tophat and a union suit for a shirt with no additional options. Randomize it all they want, but at least give people some decent wiggle room with their starting look, right now it's just unpredictable and often restrictive. coach_wargo and areyouchappin

This is exactly what i did cause i really wanted the plantation hat and gloves. Except for the "restart your xbox/ps4", it took me 9 times before i had the character looking like i wanted and the starter outfit i wanted. But im happy now. Kemasus
The clothes are random. Took 5 created characters to get the gear I wanted for my female character. Its worth doing if you havnt invested a lot of time in your current character
