Anybody else having issues whistling?

Sometimes whistling just doesn't work for a bit. It can be really annoying given certain situations.

On Xbox if that is maybe part of the issue

I’m on Xbox and I’ve had the same thing. My horse responds tho, so didn’t really bother me, but ya sometimes I don’t hear him whistle for a bit.

I think it's a horse spawn/pathing/behaviour issue more than a whistle issue. Sometimes the sound doesn't play but you can see your characters lips move

Confirm, ps4 here. Certain parts of St.Dennis riverbank. 

My horse avoided riverbank entirely. Had to fetch it from the road.

Sometimes i cant whistle at all and my horse doesnt want to move. Often happened nort if st denis.

Happens every time if so much as my toe is in the water.

Yeah i was just north of Rhodes by a pond and had a three star buck on the back of my horse and got a three star does and just threw the doe over my shoulders and ran it in to the butcher. I just had to wait 5 mins as i couldn't get my guy to whistle, but the horse icon was flicker like it was working but horse wouldn't move.

Has happened to me once and I'm on a PS4. Can't remember where though, if it even matters.

Just putting it out there, but your character actually won't whistle after you've been running a while. You can literally run out of breath for a few seconds. It's an "added touch of realism".

If you were already aware of that, and you know that's not the case, it's probably a small glitch. Just send some feedback to R*.

@ShadowBadass While your horse is carrying extra weight, it will also get tired faster, even if you're not riding on it. So if you've been walking like that for some distance, it's normal for your horse not to respond.

If you're standing in a swamp, river, or body of water. Your ability to whistle, disappears. Your lips move but no sound comes out. Because the horse can't pathfind to you usually.

After 5+ years of GTA:O, I keep whistling for my horse, even when sat on it, each and every time I mean to bring up the left d-pad menu. Lol.

When this happens and you can't whistle just start sprinting and whistling

I keep entering cinematic mode trying to get to the interaction menu

Lol, yeah me too. I see the thing in the bottom right and just have to laugh at myself too many times, lol.
