Repeater going missing in missions

Hey when I do a mission my repeater goes missing. I just did an all long distance mission with my revolver, It took about 30 hits per person. Why is my repeater going missing? Has anyone else had this happen? I select the repeater as my main long arm and it's not there on the mission. What the hell is up with this game? 

 

Please help.

Also, the varmint rifle WAS in my inventory. It replaced the repeater. Can someone please tell me why this is happening and how to fix it?
