Bolt Action Rifle, Varmint Rifle, Schofield Revolver, Bow, Fishing rod, 2 perks, 1 extra stable slot, permament posse, better scopes for all guns, few clothes. Also spent my first gold bar on lake lure. Atm sitting at 100$ and 1 gold bar.

I haven't bought anything yet.  I hunt and gather all my food from the wild.  I loot as many bodies as I can for free ammo, and raid empty houses and buildings for any extra supplies I can get hold of.

My main objective is to rank up for now and do missions.  I'm not even sure I'll spend any money on anything until I know how Beta is going to turn out, as I fear I'll buy stuff, only for it to be taken away or reset.  Hell, even the money could be taken away, so it's a risk either way...

However, I do want a fishing rod and binoculars.

Guns, ammo & a bow are all I care about. With prices the way they are, that's it. I'm not paying a wagon full of gold for dress up. Happy with my union shirt and patched-up raggedy jeans lol.

My guy is barefoot, shirtless, has a rusty gun, his trusty Nag and can of beans. I'm surviving from day to day.

Just ammo and gun maintenance. I can't afford anything else if I want to save up for better weapons. Still wearing my starter clothes, riding starter horse with starter weapons.

But I'm not really playing that much, either. Every time I log on, I either can't get anywhere near the warzones (aka towns) or I read the catalog and get disheartened at how long it's going to take to get my guy even remotely close to how I want him, so I jump back to Single Player.

Funny thing - any issues I had with SP have faded to nothing compared to Online. SP is a goddamn masterpiece.

Da Elite Ninjah

I bought the Bolt Action rifle, Litchfield repeater, Bow and the Fishing rod.

Also upgraded these weapons because you use your own guns in de PvP game modes.

Now i'm saving for the last upgraded horseback perk.

I personally like the economy and cost.

It means players won't be owning every item in the game,  and we will see some more players with diverse outfits and weapons

The economy and cost of items is the least thing on my list to complain about when it comes to RDO.

As long as I get my poncho as clothing option I'll be happy and won't be in need of changing my characters clothes ever again.

Im glad I bought the ultimate edition so I had the varmint rifle, pump shotty and volcanic pistol for free.

I also have a nice horse for free the thoroughbred, plus an awesome saddle.

I only bought the Bolt Action rifle ($360) for hunting big game with a scope ($80).

And an extra stable ($100) so I have the Tennesse horse as a back up and not that scrawny one.

Next to purchase would be the Schofield revolver and the Bow.

Noticed that when we start a character we get preset clothes and there is no guarantee as to what horse we end up with so 5 characters later my character looks great and I have the horse I want....That said, my girl did need a few outfit upgrades and just picked up the bow yesterday. Sitting at $100ish, so will save for a fishing rod next. Currently at level 12 without yet doing the story

Nothing cause I can't afford sh*t. All I have is the free content from the PS4 exclusive deal.

It’s difficult to have any real spending money.  I mean we got our stable fees, camp fees. Ammunition and provisions for both player and horse. Then you got your grievers who kill you (which costs you every time you die). I don’t know if I’m playing to enjoy the game or grinding to keep up with fees. From time to time I do get a bit of spending money, but what ever I end up buying ends up costing me more fees.

Another saddle than the one you get with your first horse?

Maintenance

- health tonics, horse reviver, ammo, fees, moving camps from the other side of the map to the state I'm in

Weaponry

- saving up and getting guns only to save up to buy more guns. Although with miniscule payouts and sky-high prices this has become quite the insufferable grind.

-upgrading the components of said weaponry

Clothing

- because if I don't treat myself I'll resent the game

That's pretty much it. Some items are still RP locked too, so I'm sure I'll have more to add in time.

I'm not currently buying anything other than ammo. I'm waiting for R*s attempt at balancing the in game economy first.

I'd rather make do with the weapons, clothing and horse I currently have than grind for hours for a new weapon, only for it to possibly become more affordable a few days later.

Saving most of my money for ponchos! They better not be locked behind crazy high-level-ranks or even gold bars ... !!!

I started with hunting and fishing essentials as well including both lake and river lures, then got a bow, bolt action, and semi auto pistol to defend myself from assholes while hunting and fishing. The above took me about 4 solid days of grinding straight, it was a slog and a half (lots of poaching), but I'm happy with what I've been able to get. Hopefully this week's update will unf*ck the economy a bit, but like the IRL economy, I'm not optimistic... greed will always prevail.

Well I hate to be that guy but as much as I would totally wear a poncho like you, they’re nowhere to be seen in the game yet. Lets hope for a Mexican update! Arriba!

well I read all those comments and I feel like Im not working enough lol. I just managed to buy the bolt-action (ultimate edition here). Now I’m looking to upgrade my cards. Got like 150 dollars right now.

now with my first gold bar I bought a black Duster Coat. Which I regret soon after because it felt too bland. The second gold bar I got, I bought another duster lol. f*ck me right? Specially now that I know I could have bought a off-hand holster for 2 gold bars... which Im not sure its a good deal anyway.

at least the shotgun coats arent locked behind premium currency.

dont even get me started on the Bolero Hats. Damn you R*!!! Also where are the sombreros man??
