please FixTheCrashes Posted November 30, 2018 Share Posted November 30, 2018 the red dead online servers are making everyone in that perticular server crash, this is a persistent issue which i and my friends now have encountered at least 10 times the last day. and every time i crash my friends also do. can someone please give me an answer as to why this is happening and how we might be able to avoid certain servers with higher chances of a crash, maybe a way to play on a solo session? there seems to not actually be any answers as to why the servers are crashing like this but i belive it is a big problem because the whole server crashes and we thus have no way to actually find out what made it crash. That or get a proper username and stick around for the fun until the problems are fixed. That's why most everyone is here anyway. You, however, are the only one acting all entitled about getting answers we're all waiting for. That's what irks me. There is no estimate on this. You can ONLY find out by playing the game yourself and suddenly find yourself thinking "Oh hey, it hasn't crashed in a while!" As such, since you have no intention of sticking around for anything other than an answer, your presence here is pointless. I honestly don't know what else i can say to make this clear to you. Of course they could. But they won't. As i said in one of my previous comments, no one is going to notice a thread that will most likely be 10 pages down by the time all these issues are dealt with, and thinking anyone cares enough to remember this thread now and go look for it when the time comes is delusional. But if you're that unbelievably hopeful, be my guest. I'm just giving you the facts. You're wasting your time with this. Your best bet would literally be to stick around and keep an eye on the updates yourself if you're that desperate to play the game without it crashing. Once i crashed when i drove a train for about 20 seconds (Don't know if connected to crash or not, I'll try to replicate this) Other was when i exited a stable and then went back towards it (Entire server crashed that time as my friend had a crash too. I doubt these two scenarios cause crashing it's probably server overload. i think the problem is the new way they handle servers by cutting the map up in pieces as i have noticed that i actually only crashed with the people in my general map slice. which mens it could be the tranfer from one dynamic server to another while riding from map slice to map slice and only the people in my map slice get the crash, could anyone here try to get a crash? just with a friend in another region to check if my theory is true?
