IamCourtney
I've been wondering this as well.
LunaticPandora
I played it, but I found the prologue immensely dull so I dropped it and got distracted by other games. Its a shame really, I WANT to get into it, but I also can't stand slow beginnings.
DentureDynamite
I'm (almost) at that point; I'm in early Chapter 2 and have no desire to continue. I dislike scripted events, and love freeroam, so that's what I've been doing; just enjoying freeroam. I did the same for GTA 5; I don't care for acting like someone else's dog, especially when it makes my character look stupid (brother and sister cannibals, guy who butt rapes you... FFS). R* can get lost for trying to pull those pathetic story lines; as if Arthur Morgan was even that stupid to begin with... I wanted more openess when doing the story missions; I don't like being forced to play a certain way. All the bounty missions should've been open ended to various playstyles too. DentureDynamite
^^ Yeah--shoot the brother-and-sister cannibals before they screw you over (which I happily did), and suddenly the loot and rewards in their house disappear... Uh huh. Cute, Rockstar; real cute. I'm not sitting and begging as your dog. Not happening. Lonely-Martin
100% completed a week or so ago. Just need the 70 gold and online stuff for my platinum. Very comfy with the game. We Are Ninja and Next-Gen Vercettis
KingpinRCR
I’ve put in sooo many hours into the game but i’ve only just reached chapter 4. I always get distracted by the world... Smokewood
We Are Ninja
It's sooooo worth it. For the story, and to get familiar with gameplay mechanics without tryhards trying to put it in yer pooper..

RaigeGames
Working my way through chapter 6 right now and I'm so hooked by the story line. If you haven't gotten very far in the game, keep pushing. I crawled my way through chapter 2, spent most of my time exploring and only did story missions when they were close by. But once I got a few missions into chapter 3 I got so hooked on the story line that I've barely done any exploring/free roam since We Are Ninja
We Are Ninja
^ THIIIIIIIIIS. It only feels like a slog early on. It gets waaaaay better. Now, what guy in the bayou? Edited November 30, 2018 by We Are Ninja

I am about 3 missions from being done with chapter 6. Once chapter 3 got going, I was hooked on the story big time. I have a feeling that people who like story mode want PvE lobbies and those who hate story mode want the current state of free roam to stay the same. dieseltech20
Not me. I bought it for story mode, same as I have been doing for decades now. f*ck the online grindfest. I played GTA 3 and San Andreas for years. Smokewood
Next-Gen Vercettis
100%er here but I was so desperate to avoid story spoilers I didn't even look at the achievement list. So now I have to play through again to complete all of the honour story missions. Not complaining though, I would rather do that than play online at the moment. roggek
I have played the story 100% and more after the epilogue. But as RDO looks like now, i doubt any of the griefers or spawnkillers has ever touched the story mode at all... Beacuse they don't know how to survive in the vilderness,,, Edited November 30, 2018 by roggek
