Golden Double action revolver from GTAO

What happened with the Golden Double Action revolver and the Tomahawk we got in GTAO ? i never saw them niether in SP nor in Online.

I think the golden double action was for SP only. I could be wrong about that, but that was always my assumption.

 

Not that I ever got it in SP either...

In SP the tomahawk (or stone hatchet) can be found at a Native American burial ground that's north of Lake Owanjila.

I also think that it was only for SP tho I never get it (revolver)... I've red on R* support page that they are having some issue with this item and they are working on it. Didn't checked after update tho...

I started SP after saving in Valentine one night, and I had the revolver magically show up in my holster. Don't get me wrong I'm glad I have it, but I assumed we would have to find it?

Go to a fence for the revolver, it costs zero.  I hear the cattleman you start with is much better tho.

 

 

Edit-  I think I was wrong and the gun at the fence is different.

The gun at the fence is the High Roller revolver, a reward for I believe people who bought the Special Edition and up.

The gold DA revolver is single-player only. I never did get mine.

I got standart edition and got the revolver for free,also an arabian in stable on st denis.

The patch last tuesday made it magically appear in my weaponwheel, replacing the one i bought and upgraded myself.  And for some reason it auto-equips in missions even tough i stowed ot away in the saddlebags.

^^ Same here; the latest patch (1.03) made it appear in my weapon wheel (Story Mode anyway; not sure about online?)--didn't have to collect it in a store, etc.

 

And it's actually a pretty dang good gun--up there alongside the Schofield, IMO...

 

I'm on the PS4 it makes any difference; I know the XBox One has had some issues recently.

I have them both.

The revolver was bugged until the last patch... just check your inventory.

You have to find the Tomahawk in the world.

Would be nice if the Golden Double Action Revolver is available for free for qualifying players in RDO.

 

If so, hopefully R* will get it fixed with the next patch.

^^ NIce. My two SP horse names are: "Nyet" and "Neigh".

 

For some reason, the PS4 hardcopy basic version of RDR2 I bought online came with a code [manual entry] that enables the "Survivor" clothing and possibly some other(?) items?

 

This might be the explanation for where the free Arabian horse comes from; but if it's just a bug, well... too bad, so sad. lol

 

If I get it (and it's male), I'll call it "Steed" in honor of John Steed. After all, "He's needed."

The double action revolver was unlocked as part of a "Sean Robbery" camp mission.  After killing the homeowners, it was in a box under a bed in the cabin.

Yes, but that’s a standard da revolver, not the premodded da revolver you get for completing the treasurehunt in gtao.

No, that's the one.  It doesn't come "golden"  you have to upgrade it at a gunsmith.  People who didn't do the GTAO missions don't have that gun at all.

where did you get it?  All my friends found it without gold and had to upgrade it.  Im not talking about the High Roller Gun.  That is a different gun.

like I said, if you completed the treasure hunt in gtao it will appear in your weaponwheel since the patch last tuesday.

i’ve never upgraded a gun with gold metal and yet I have a golden da revolver and my silver one disappeared.

Hmm; does the High Roller come in gold color? If so, then maybe that's what everyone gets for doing the GTA Online treasure hunt (providing your accounts are linked, if your games are on different platforms like mine--PC/PS4).

 

I probably just didn't realize it was a "High Roller" Golden Double-Action Revolver. lol

 

That's what I have anyway--it just showed up for me in Single Player after patch 1.03 was released.

 

Like I say, it's a pretty good gun; compares well to the Schofield, or maybe even better after you upgrade it a bit at a gunsmith.

ok.  there are two different DA revolvers.  One is the one you get for doing the GTA online missions.  

The other is the High Roller DA revolver.  The High Roller is available to everyone,  it was available earlier to PS4 players

Which one of these is the golden gun you are talking about?  And where did you find it?  Did you buy it?  Pick it up in a mission?

I found one in the shack with sean’s robbery (found it twice actually, once during exploring and once during the mission), I don’t have the high roller gun.

The golden gun appeared in my weaponswheel after patch 1.03 and replaced one of the da revolvers I already had.

The golden one looks exactly the same as the one in gtao and i’m 100% sure that’s the one you get as a reward for the treasurehunt in gtao.

edit: so there are  THREE different da revolvers:  the one in the shack, the golden and the high roller.  (4 if you count the one you can buy, but that is the same as the one in the shack)

Correct, it has GOLD inlays on top of the GOLD body.

I had bought one and customized it... it is now gone. (was replaced by the new one in patch 1.03)

hmm.  well then I never got my golden one even though it did the GTAO stuff.

Might be another bug(?) or some camouflage here, but I know I looked through the gunsmith's catalog last night in Single Player, and don't recall seeing any Double Action Revolver without either an "Owned" or padlock indicator on it.

 

i.e. For some reason, I still suspect that I haven't been given this free revolver, even though I bought the PS4 (basic) version of RDR2, which I assume still qualifies for the "PS4 Early Access" content..?
