Why can't i rob stores!?

This is basic stuff, isn't it? I'm sure it'll get added later on, but shouldn't this be something you can do at launch? I remember doing this all the time back when GTAO first started.

I hope they implement it. Also bank robberies and all kinds of stuff. I hope for more dynamic events started by players. One player tries to rob a store and other players can get a reward for stopping him and getting the money back.

Will probably be added eventually, yeah. I'm actually also expecting Bank/Train Heists in the new year.

 

From what I recall, it was mentioned somewhere that we would be able to purchase properties in the near future, current earning methods won't work, unless they add a "Loan" option. Or a way to earn more money fluently.

I bought a bandanna and it disappeared. Can't rob any stores, and seems you can't rob people outside of just shooting them and looting body.

Robbing stores really shouldn't be excluded, hopefully they add that later..... along with strangling for our online character

There will never be bank/store robberies. It’ll f*ck micro transactions. Or maybe they’ll add it but rob a bank and get $10

A lot of truth to that--and for the same reason why (I believe) the Fleeca banks were never robbable in GTAO's free roam... let alone the safe in the back of the convenience stores.

 

They should have been robbable; even for a couple thousand dollars--would have added a lot of immersion to Los Santos (like the random armored trucks did).

 

Problem is, Rockstar likes to micromanage game play far too much in what should be a far more open world environment.

You're 100% right.

 

Back in '13/'14, I was so mad when I learned that couldn't rob those f*cking vaults.

I had hoped GTAO would have been more like PayDay 2 Stealth options. I would happily have planned, robbed, and gotten a clean getaway from a Fleeca Bank job even if the reward was a new mask option. 

 

For RDO I still hold out hope that banks and pedestrians can be robbed (and that they can rob you).
