*edit:sorry for misleading, there are low price items tooscreen

you can still dress yourself with much less effort, the gold bar ones are always optional,so don't argue for this*

About time the steaming brown stuff hits the big media fan--and aimed squarely at Rockstar's epic mess of a game.

The real kicker is how many gold bars certain things cost.. I'm talking trivial stuff like holsters and clothing accessories... 4 gold bars for a damned clothing item! So that's literal days of playtime for one color variation, other colors cost the same amount.

My gut feeling is that--in addition to greed--RDO's content is too time-locked for R* to generate interesting new items and hold player attention (read: micro-transactions) for long. They've alluded to content being relevant to the time period, but...

RDR2 has numerous hints of time travel, inventors and electronics, so my guess is their "back up" plan is to (eventually) screw time period relevancy and introduce content that's beyond the absurd; just like GTA Online.

I don't know what they're doing to earn a gold bar in 8 hours, I played 6 hours last night and two today and only have .30 of a bar. I need to figure out what is paying the best.

A shirt is a cosmetic, I understand the frustration but it's a damn shirt that means nothing. Go play the game for a few hours, days, weeks, whatever...and go buy it.

It also REQUIRES level 23, if you haven't made enough gold by playing the game by level 23, I don't know what to say.

You guys always make mountains out of mole hills.

Here's an even more hilarious aspect: according to a google search, the purchasing power of $100 in 1899 is equivalent to $3046.81 in 2018. In-game, a gold bar is worth $500. Effectively, that shirt costs the equivalent of $30468.10.

GTA:O prices look almost reasonable by comparison.

Means little to you, fair play if you've got weeks to play to potentially get it.

It's an open game with choice as a selling point. So for another to choose to like something just isn't 'playing this wrong' I feel.

By that level you should easily have that much to spend... what's the issue?

Ahh yes, who wants other things to open the game up along the way, lol.

Stop forcing your way on others. If you can sink 40hrs a week on this, enjoy. I have life to live too, lol.

It's understandable why Take2/Rockstar would need to design the economy such that it insures a predictable source of revenue. I'm neutral to the whole matter, but I personally don't think I'll keep up with an Online world designed this way. It's one reason why my interest dropped for GTAO after a few months of playing. I will stick to the story-driven missions and organized modes like gang shootouts. Shirts, fancy clothes, best horses, high-end weapons... don't interest me a bit. With that said, I miss the days when Online economies didn't exist. Times were simpler and playing didn't take too much time. That, or I'm getting old. I don't know, haha.

I play no more than 2 hours a night.

I have a wife, kids, and a grandchild in my house.

It just seems like everyone wants everything, they want it right now, and they don't want to spend 1 penny of in game cash.

Yes, not wanting to spend 16 hours of grinding for a f***ing shirt, which is actually one of the cheaper things locked behind gold bars, makes us lazy. You need to learn to tell the difference between wanting something instantly and not wanting to spend an unreasonable amount of time grinding for it. This is not something anyone can seriously find defensible if they have a working brain.

Have you given feedback to R* yet?

If not, you really can't complain.

I have taken the basis of every thread I am in and reported it to feedback.

Probably over 20 different feedback reports so far.

Yes, I have, because it is bulls*** and no one here should be defending it, we should be complaining and encouraging others to do the same here in ADDITION to reporting it to feedback.

Likewise, don't assume so much.

I really am encouraging others.

I have suggested giving feedback that you believe in to R*

I have been submitting them even when I disagree because if you don't, you cant expect anything to change.

Yes I do get argumentative from time to time but it seems to make people articulate what they mean better.

Big difference between 'reasonable time/gaming' and being made to grind or pay.

Smh at your assumptions.
