Take your Time with Character Creation

Good is not only me that start over multiple times, at my third character now, and im not sure im done yet. I have only reached 50% progress with missions (4 missions) and i only have time to customize and start over when i play lol!

 

First one was a male that felt to big, second one was a atletic female with headoption 10, she looked to skinny and wierd, now i just used 1 hour plus the setup missions on a male again, and now i consider to try to make a female again, seems like im never happy and that i cant choose between a female or male..

 

If we could have two characters like gtao then it would be mutch easier...

Running to fence to pick up the better free revolver and the free arabian horse in Saint Denis starting to be boring now, beside the startup missions. This take too mutch time to start over with a new one... It realy take away the fun one could have online..

Aha! This could be my issue. I keep seeing smooth skin females and my girl at 18... she looks early 40 :s

I think you might, when you have created it, but surely if a regular member deleted his character the posse would not be disbanded. I think you should find out. That said if it’s money you’re after, hunting is a good way instead of the torture of playing the tutorial over and over

Can confirm this is definitely an issue. Before accepting changes to your character, make sure to simply toggle the age forward and back and it will get rid of the wrinkles. I had an 18 year old who looked 40 and couldn't figure out why lol.

Turns out you can be VERY lucky ... I restarted all over again this morning and it took me less than five minutes to leave the character-creation menu. The pre-set character was perfect, I only changed the hair and hair-color, everything else was perfect from the get-go!

Mkay, i "p[ioneered it and i can tell you that you KEEP the persistent posse !! ehehehe

But..., i need 2 make another character again ! still not happy.

Head 3, 4, 9, 11 and 14 seem to be the friendliest ones. For female characters that is...

 

You are not wrong. I've had good characters by hitting Random and when trying to recreate them they look different. Also backing out resets some options.

 

EDIT: k, thing I got it. Apparently when you customize facial features using the sliders you have to do it in the right section, so you first select one of the normal options and then customize it. Pretty stupid I know, but its a beta...

Oh, so you select a fairly general type on each feature by pressing left and right and then you press x to go into it and adjust the basic type?

Pretty much. It's not like GTAO where after tweaking a slider you get "Custom", you have to select one of the preset options and modify it.

Ok, it's making sense to me now. It explains why when I went for the photo then cancelled and went back to adjust my character I couldn't get them to look the same. It's because when you go back to adjust your character the preset types will have changed.

I eventually recreated my Character 5 times.

The Reason for doing this was the clothing we end up getting and the horse that we could get.?

My girl looks great, 35ish with high level clothing to begin with and the starting horse I wanted

Currently at level 15....hopefully RS wont wipe us

Even then in game the characters look like utter goons.  So frustrating.

Also in SR3 you can pick different voiceactors and change the voice pitch. Why couldn't they do something like that and record 50 random lines for rdro? Something simple as "sure thing boss", "I have a bad feeling about this", "thank you", "screw you". The whole mute freak routine got old with gtaonline... 

Well I just hope they will fix this creator before RDR2 comes to pc. With gtao it took me 7 tries to create something decent (pics below. I was going for Claude/Tommy Vercetti)

But if I can't create good looking characters in rdro? Then I will probably roleplay as the ugly old gold miner instead.
