I am playing RDR2 with Standard FPS Controller Type and I can't figure out how to swim faster? On Normal (Standard) Controller Type where you press or hold X to run, you can swim faster in water if you repeatedly tap X and it works as I tested this. BUT I can't figure it out how to do it on Standard FPS Controller Type as well. I tried every possible button to swim faster in water while using the Standard FPS Controller Type, but I just can't do it. I pressed L3 once, I repeatedly tapped L3, I held L3 down, I tried the same with the X button (On Standard FPS Controller Type). Nothing works and I can't swim faster. I really like to use the Standard FPS Controller Type where I can run and sprint with L3 and crouch with X. What am I doing wrong or can't we simply just swim faster while using the Standard FPS Controller Type?! Just like rowing, or riding your horse on the tracks or through town, or "fast walking" in camps... they need to remove that crap and let us run. I'm a peacock, you gotta let me fly. Satanta Posted November 30, 2018 Share Posted November 30, 2018 I saved a screen vid where Arthur screws with John about swimming. "You can herd, ya can't swim...' "You'll be fine as long as you don't go near the water..' lol Arthur swims, flails and wades real quick when there is a Gater in the water with him-or even potentially one. Hell yes-I made him walk on the water during a photo side quest and while picking Hemlock after shooting a 3* gater. Pitch black and foggy-was no way *I* was gonna screw around in that mess. [[Lived in Florida and hiked the swamps to photo so have an innate "Ohsh*t" thing aabout Gaters, water and darkness. Don't even get in my pool without checking carefully and I'm in N.C. ]] I've got no issues getting Arthur to run for short dashes in camp-just hammer the A [[Xbox]] button a few times, when he slows hammer it again-unl3ss he is carrying hay or whatnot.
