The one and only thing I find good in online is the fact that your weapon loadout is is actually working. When you get off your horse, you have equiped all the weapons you choosed before. Assblaster Posted March 21, 2019 Share Posted March 21, 2019 It's nice to feel good about posting in this thread after so much popular disappointment in this game has gone a bit by the wayside. This game wasn't always how I envisaged it or hoped it would be, but I have to applaud R* for making concerted efforts to find solidarity among its players rather than just take the easy path and leave things as they were. I'm happy to see sessions filled with players lately, rather than the half-empty sessions of over a month ago. Everyone was predicting certain doom for this game not too long ago, and even with the recent dripfeeding and lack of content there is still some well-founded dismay. But at least R* is working to change all that, and have established a solid blueprint for making freeroam fair for everyone and suited to everyone's playstyle. There are many little things about this game that I love and get joy from. So I'm glad that the game is evolving into something better, instead of dying, which is what it seemed to be doing not so long ago. I'm having more fun logging in and playing now; and I feel genuinely excited by the changes coming in late spring, so much so that it almost feels as if late spring is Christmas. Now I can look forward to more content (maybe summer and autumn maybe?), and hope for properties to arrive maybe around winter (I hope) or early next year. Then maybe we'll eventually be able to rob banks and stagecoaches -- giving characters like Butch & Sundance a way to make their living. Who knows what else we may get in time. At least R* is proving they can make this game something other than a mere mirror-image of GTAO, and for that I'm happy. I lost two treasure map rewards at the cattail pond location - just wouldn't let me pick them up. As usual, I’m not looking to start fights, but I didn’t have to wait long for people to start attacking me. Got my 5/5 Bolt Action kills on some noob who started shooting at me for no reason. Then, riding through Great Plains two rank 100-somethings did the same thing; shot at me for no reason. I killed them and their posse and then rode north to pay my bounties and go fish in solitude. Didn’t die once. Felt much less grumpy afterwards. I just came here to say I bought a 2nd Semi Auto Pistol last night, and boy when I hip-fire these two bad boys I'm a walking goddamn Maxim gun! It's insane. The damage is crap, bullet spread ridiculous and you'll quickly run out of ammo, but man it's great to just blast the enemies and watch them stagger and splatter to their death. Strictly PvE though, they're not effective enough for PvP (unless you're using explosives, which would be even more insane but also an even bigger waste). Ridiculous. I mean the only thing I really like are the returning characters from rdr 1 but everything else is just boring buggy pvp mess. Rdr 1 did multiplayer better and it's almost a decade old. Still, there are undeniably good parts too, some stuff that I could enjoy in SP but that I rather share with friends playing as a character I’ve made. And stuff that you can’t get from SP at all. I saw these two fellows sitting in the Tumbleweed saloon while there was some ruckus outside, as always in old Tumbleweed. I have no idea who they were but since they were sitting there I grabbed myself a whisky and sat down with them and we kept drinking for a few minutes, constantly getting up going for refills (the whisky should last longer, R*). A posse ravaged the town by the sound of it and I was just waiting for a shootout. The other posse comes in - and they didn't draw their guns but instead did the thumbs up and went for drinks. So we were all just drinking merrily, I almost wish we could have danced. And after I went back to the game after pausing to send this picture to my friend, the game crashed and I was stuck on this screen, which was beautiful in a way. Sidenote: I think there should be places in the world that are gun-free. Not entire towns of course, but some Saloons for example. Or just one Saloon. Make it in St. Denis or Blackwater. It's nice to have at least one place where people must be friendly to each other, where you go to just socialize etc. Yeah. I'll send that request to R*. I found three pigs in the hog pen at flatneck station, killed and skinned them for the hides and animal fat. Then after jumping to different sessions twice, found at least five more in that pen. I really needed to stock up on animal fat to craft explosive rounds, and put an extra ten animal fat in my satchel. Those pigs really helped. Then early this morning and this afternoon, I found a total of seven Egrets in my usual hunting spot for them. I may continue looking for them, and try to get ten plumes from at least one variety of Egret. Either Snowy, Little, or Reddish. Foxwolfe Posted May 5, 2019 Share Posted May 5, 2019 Speaking of which with yesterdays easy list I actually completed all 7 in one day for the second time now and was able to confirm (not that it wasn't already, I just hadn't confirmed it for myself yet) that you do indeed get 40 nuggets for the final 7th challenge completed. Nice touch, I'll have to try and complete all 7 more often, really enjoy how they easily and rather steadily bolster your gold bar amount over time, which is great for me as I keep spending that gold on clothing and colored metals for my guns lol. I was hunting, a blue level 10 came up to me, "here we go" I thought, but they just waved and started following. So I went about my business, loaded us both up with pelts and carcasses, showed them where to catch salmon, hit a few hideouts and ambushes, protected them from a trigger happy level 40 something, got them safely to the butcher in Valentine and parted ways.
