Don't think I am discouraging you from doing it. They are beautiful creatures and if you are instructed right its as exhilarating and gives you the same sense of freedom as riding a motorcycle but you get the sh*t kicked out of you at first.

I'll stick to my bikes. I've come off at speed a couple of times over the years, it's not pleasant, I really wouldn't fancy taking a fall from 5 or 6 feet up.

Also, if I want my balls to get mashed up I'd just dare to take a moment to think the next time the Mrs asks me if she looks fat in something. Seems like a more efficient way of getting a similar end result than going to the trouble of riding a horse.

I don't know anything about having balls cause I'm a girl but no, I wouldn't recommend it. Lol! It was actually how I learned to ride a horse, and when I rode in a saddle for the first time it was utter relief. How guys can ride horses bareback like that, and I've seen some do it, just boggles my mind.

Ooh, now I know how to prank my brother in case we ever get to ride a horsie. "Let's see who can ride bareback the longest. Loser pay up with rdr gold!"

p.s. no balls FTW! :pp

I decided to take a train ride last night before quitting and man, is the scenery fantastic.

Rolling through the mountain gorges is breathtaking, really magnificent.

It's a shame the majority of people won't see most of it.

Love the free aim battles. Unloading dual wield revolvers and the Evans with hipfire on people is really nice, mmm yea. One time also never had that I pushed a opponent against the wall and executed him with a pump action. Really sweet, was a gentle push also haha.

I do a lot of complaining, so to be fair, here's a list of what I like/love about RDO:

* Scenery: good variety of it; beautiful water and waterfalls, caves, wells, tunnels, trees, especially love the swamps and the dangerous environments. Love the Tintin-style cave-behind-the-waterfall at Elysian Pool. Would love to see more secret/hidden entrances added for evasion purposes.

* Building detail: pretty darn amazing; just wish there were a way to get on top of more of them (future grappling hook?) and explore buildings that are currently closed off (destructible doors?). Better means/places of escaping the law would be especially helpful, as would some way to distract lawmen/NPCs, enabling various tasks (think Thief-like game play).

* Animals: (when working *ahem*); especially love the realistic fish. Bears, wolves, and cougars/panthers are pretty freaking scary.

* Birds: nicely done; just thankful for dual-wield revolvers that make up for trying to free-aim birds that dodge shots. Console players have no idea how easy they have it when it comes to taking down birds (was on PS4 so I speak intelligently). lol Not so sure how erratic the flight of IRL birds are. Hmm.

* Crafting: adds nice variety and immersion, and is fairly well implemented--please keep it plausible and time-period accurate as possible!

* Looting: great idea, and a nice touch for better interaction with the world around you.

* Treasure maps: one of my favorite parts of the game, even if/when I wander in circles trying to find those well-hidden spots.

* Plants: keeps the world from getting too "hands-off"; more of this kind of thing (supporting crafting and the collector role) really adds to game play.

* Dynamite: *ahem* who doesn't love blowing stuff up? Especially with the physics engine? :)

* Fast travel: simple and very helpful; it's a good value for players in terms of spending money and saving time when in a pinch.

* NPC detail: deeper interaction than GTA Online; they don't like it when you pull out a gun--but that's their problem. :)

Animals have been spawning for me recently and I forgot how much I enjoy the leisurely pace of Hunting. Putting on my light hunting outfit, grabbing my Rifle and stalking Big Valley...ah fun.

Finally finished a full batch of Trader Cargo and a full Moonshine run, made $750 dollars in an hour.

How much cash is a bag of money?

$3 if I'm not mistaken; there are at least several I know of:

* One in Lagras/Blue Water Marsh

* One at the gang hideout cabin in Cumberland Forest (on the floor)

* One inside the stranger mini-house at Rhodes (near the Fence)--this one is just a bag on a shelf

One of the first money bags added was in a remote tower up north (west side of the map).

Ah I already seen and picked those then. Although I recall them being just banknotes instead.

To the player that I rolled up on outside of Emerald Ranch looking for a collectible who waved at me when I walked in the house and also took the time to shoot at the bench right inside the door when both of us had been wandering looking for the Tarot card and he found it before me and wanted to show me where it was...

Thank you!

I had some hilarity last night, to rival the NPC antics of GTA.

First, I topped a small hill and between some small trees there was a startled buck.

He took off, I dismounted, crouched and followed, though I heard a brief squawk from a bird, nothing too unusual as there were a good amount of them around.

As I track the deer through the little thicket a carcass icon appears, I spot the buck heading up the next hill and pot him, turn back and apparently he ran over a crow in his panic!  🙂

Excellent! A freebie, I've been trying to restock my small animals.

Next, a shine sale, I'm hurrying along after eliminating a roadblock, gotta get it done with 5 minutes remaining.

The pursuing agents start charging, I take out the two together on my left (looking back over the wagon), then the one in the middle, but the horse of the guy on my right hits something solid and he gets catapulted in the air, i adjust my aim and kill him while he's horizontal in midair!  :turn: 🙃  :rampage:

Then last, another shine sale (I finished the first one right at 5 minutes left) I'm rolling over the log bridge just west of Emerald Stn (where the roadblock always is), got some speed on to make sure I finish in time, they come up over the hill again.

Take out the two on my left, the one in the middle, and that first guy's cousin on the right piles right into the railing of the bridge (I've done it myself before), the horse goes down in a pile, and rider flips through the air and dies when he lands.

It completely threw off my aim, but he either died from the impact or sheer embarassment!

That's the kind of shenanigans that keep me entertained while playing.

I was in a 23 strong lobby a few hours ago.

I saw lots of birds and I think, a four legged creature (no, it wasn't  my enemy begging for his life & pissing his pants 🤣)

I think they actually fed the damn hamster this time.

This is why we need the "double click and point" action from GTAO.

Let's just say they're highly overrated. lol They would be less awkward and obtrusive if they were of an interior nature.

Moonshiner story missions were amazing, I think better than original story missions. And a big plus you could play every one of them solo.

That's the main benefit of Moonshiner Story Missions over the Original Story Missions for me.

Being able to play them solo offers you so much more flexibility over how you want to play each mission, means you can play them without waiting for the sh*tty matchmaking and, better still, means you can play without having to put up with low rank randoms and trolls.

The same can be said for Legendary Bounties.

There is a reason why cowboys wear tight fitting jeans and its not so our ass looks good its beacuse it helps protect our balls and keeps them in place when riding.

there are alot of problems with this game but when you sit back and take the game slow and dont worry about making money or gold. This is a game that you can just get lost in for hours dont know how many times I have logged on and just wandered around hunting, fishing, playing cards. Hell I walked on foot from Tumbleweed to Blackwater just looking for stuff to take pictures of had a great time doing it to. this is really a game that is much more enjoyable when you stop playing it like a game.

Tonight, I hopped back on. It's been a few weeks.

I decided to forget about camps and shacks and animal spawns.

I did something that surprisingly, I've never done in Online or Story mode - I rode the train around the map.

Starting in St Denis and doing that loop, from Van Horn to Brandywine Drop, through the Grizzlies to Bacchus Station, down to Riggs and then along to Rhodes and back again at St Denis.

It was quite a breathtaking experience.

From midday through the late evening, the scenery and occasional wildlife just blew me away.

A moose sipping from the lake at Brandywine, a hawk taking flight from a bridge through the Grizzlies, it helped me remember to try and forget that I can't get my camp to spawn.

Such a beautiful world.
