Found that big elk in New Austin and poison arrows doesn´t work ether! Haven´t tried tracking arrows yet but they probably doesn´t work either!

And second to that there was no question mark I just found a strange noise out of the blue. Headed in that direction and there it was!

The arrows now working on legendary animals is yet another lame design choice to go along with no auto aim or PIB in the missions.

 

The question mark not appearing must be a bug, surely?

I disagree, I like the extra challenge. PiB should be removed from the game entirely.

Completely agree even though i use it for certain occasions PIB is terrible, in fact all ability cards are terrible.  I play free aim and prefer to hunt using it too, more satisfying then just riding up and painting all the animals and killing everything. The only reason i do not play this game more is because of all the auto aimers running around with tonics and PIB.

Oh, I don't disagree, I'd rather have no cards. But, as we do have them, it seems an odd choice to disable it in these missions while it's usable during every other activity.

 

My main point was supposed to be, and reading back I didn't actually type it, is that I prefer to be able to choose the difficulty, sometimes I want a free aim, no cards, more "hardcore" experience, others I want to dial it down so I can try different ways of tackling the same missions.

PiB needs to be removed or drastically nerfed. (Come at me Bro)

 

I would love a "Hardcore Lobby" with Free Aim, old animations back, no cards etc.

You know what would be a good addition, something like The Witcher 3's "Toxicity" feature. These "Miracle Tonics" are supposed to be dangerous so they should come with side effects if you drink to many or mix them for example. Stuff like Health/Stamina Drain instead of boost, rapid onset drunkennesses if you drink booze after using them etc.

I know I have used this game as an example before but they did a lot of little things correctly, including this.

In Star Wars Galaxies you could buy or craft spice which was a drug you ate (like pills I guess) for buffs.

Different spice gave different buffs.

However if you chose to use them, the buff would last 10 minutes but when it wore off it have a negative effect on your stats and it made you stop and puke a few times....

So sure you were buffed up 10 minutes but then the downer lasted for 3 minutes after.

All of this, boosting your stats with instant use drugs should come with side effects. This would add alot of strategy to the gameplay and stop people chugging tonics.

I'm just gonna say it: the garment sets and most of the clothing items from Gus are sh*te.

 

Compare to SP Trapper outfits and its night and day, the creativity put into those.

I want to have autoaim removed from thrown weapons. You're supposed to throw them in a "general direction" not at someone directly

I hate it when I want to throw in the direction of a group of enemies but the game adamantly locks me on to some lone idiot who runs away from the group

I tell you, I'm SICK to death of always being dropped on my head in front of every predator that makes an appearance.  I've tried so many of the horses now, researched it online, tried all the strategies... calm the horse, take your hands off the controls and let the horse do its thing, turn the horse to the side, etc., etc., etc..  NOTHING works.  The horse STOPS in place, allowing the predators to run right up, then rears up and drops me in front of them.  EVERY horse, no matter what I do.

 

Really tired of it.

Nah, its the distinctive trait of the saga... from rdr onwards... it would be like matrix without the slowmo dodges... thats a no no. They should have create different lobbies without it and auto aim thought...

Sorry for the bad photo's these are screenshots from the video my husband sent me. When he is wearing anything with a collar sometimes his hair get's stuck and the mesh stretches making him looks like he suddenly has a mane of thick luxurious hair blowing in the wind. It lasts a few seconds and disappears. I sent a ticket, but am not hoping for much of a fix for sometime, which sucks because I live for those high collared coats and vests. 

Lol i legit had to look who fabio was hahahaha

Yeah they seem to work one day then be greyed out the next.

 

With the alcohol bottles today, I've had mine bug out in different sessions, ie. drank a bottle of Gran Corazon Madeira to get it to 9/10 and the game showed the Tennessee Whiskey bottle on the right side of the screen with the GCM bottle being greyed out and showing as 10/10 so just be aware of this one folks! (Tried drinking a bottle of Cognac and same thing, Tennessee Whiskey came up again.)

 

I also think I've gotten disconnected more times in the last fortnight than I have overall in the 14-15 months playing RDO. Getting quite a few crashes too.

Anyone else have this bug where you take out your camera and when you want to take a picture the screen goes black and game closes on you..

 

I'm running the latest drivers, but I can't seem to take any snapshots anymore after this update... With the naturalist-role this is a major PITA...

Have you maxed out your horse bond? I did for the Turkoman (which was a really skittish horse to begin with), and while it does still buck you off when something gets right up next to it, I can ride past bears, wolves, snakes, etc., and it'll now keep chugging on (although it'll be kind of spooked even when I get off miles away), whereas at lower bond levels it'd freeze up, throw me off, run in a random direction, etc.

 

You still can't get too close to threats, but max bond with any war or draft horse should make them more manageable. I don't use my Shire horse all that often (because it's too darn slow! :p), but I suspect I might go back to using it for tracking/documenting predators, because that big lunk doesn't blink at anything.

They have definitely changed the horse behavior.

I rarely ride any other than my white Arabian, and I know how she behaves.

In the same situations she dumps me before I can even get on some times now, she's very skittish around gunfire.

Found another cheater today.

I was sitting at an crossroads then the animals on my horse dropped of, and then I started getting tossed around by little sparkly explosions, maybe like explosive round impacts, only no damage was done, so I stuck it out while taking screenshots of the player list.

There was 21 in session before and after.

The after lists showed that 2 left and 2 joined, so I'm going to keep lists to correlate between them, most likely one of the 2 that left are responsible.

I actually started out with an Arabian (the red chestnut... damn, what a gorgeous colour).  She was always really skittish, and I read online that they're known for this, so I switched to the Kladruber.  I figured the Trader horse would be more tolerant of animals since that class is required to do hunting... but no.  The Kladruber is just as skittish, and has an unfortunate need to try to run straight up the sides of any nearby cliff.  Someone posted a video of her Criollo slowly walking calmly around in circles with 5 wolves around it... so I tried the Criollo, but it was no better.  More online research suggested the warhorses would be best, so I got an Andalusian and a Mustang to test them both.  The Andalusian was no better, so I switched to the Mustang.  At first, it seemed to do better, but it's now dropped me on my head several times, and stopped standing up to predators entirely.  So, I'm now riding the tier 1 Gypsy horse.  I figured, as with the Kladruber, it's going to be expected to get close to predators as part of the class... so maybe it will be better?  I mean, it doesn't have speed, stamina or health in abundance, so it must have SOMETHING going for it...

 

I've not tried the Turkoman, it's too expensive just for testing.

 

And yes, I always wait until I have level 4 bonding before making a judgement.

One thing I have noticed is that the horses tend to react differently to each rider. My husband has so much trouble with his tiger striped mustang running into things, throwing him at the first sight of danger, etc. So we traded, he took my Turkoman and I rode his little guy. Not once did I run into anything, we literally stood in the middle of a gunfight without a problem, and he didn't throw me when the wolves came after us. But he was having so many problems with my Bogey, who is my favorite and not much of a problem for me(besides rocks, that horse hates rocks).

Do they still react to how they are treated after reaching max bonding?

It's habit for me to constantly reassure my horse even when I don't need to, I brush him all of the time, and I don't push him too hard when we're on the road to keep his speed up. For me, my husband's horse was a completely different animal.

I think my Kladruber has had a breakdown or something, during gunfights he'll bolt miles away. Usually he'll be around the area pretty close during a shoot out....And sometimes just casually trot through the middle with bullets flying everywhere.

My golden Turkoman was acting a little off too, she seemed a little more high strung and I have no idea why. My daughter's horse encountered a snake and didn't calm down afterwards, she had to take her back to the stable and change her out for another, and my husband's horse was stuck turning his head from left to right when he happened to equip one of his outfits. Lol, it was funny watching him riding along with the horse looking side to side constantly, but it made the ride difficult because the horse also pulled that way as well. 😂
