Why is there a timer to get him to a destination after he's rescued?

It makes no sense.

 


 It seems to me that the timers are purposefully set to make us rush the free roam missions because I don't remember story missions having a timer right? They could simply patch the timers to be off when you get to the objective (npc bounty, buyer, etc). The way it is currently  is really annoying and makes ppl less willing to do it again, its so frustating to play on the rush. I have a friend that just can't stand playing RDO because of this, he still prefers GTAO (funny this being a faster paced game) because the timers there fits more the reality making you play on a more relaxed way.

R* logic, go figure, we should make some LOUD noise here to make them change it, it is a QoL for everyone.

I feel you there, that camp location is horrible. Although you can get a wagon in&out of the hill using the shallow incline around this circle (I can't pinpoint the exact location) just east of the church:

That's the exact spot I tried to go down, slowly.  What happened was it jack-knifed vertically, so the wheels weren't touching the ground, which broke the horse off.  Wagon destroyed.

Just use cinematic mode and your wagon will drive itself. After you clear those tricky spots switch back to manual drive.

What the everloving goddamn...

 

So, I get a notice that a moonshine buyer needs rescuing.  So, I go to where the revenuers are holding him, and gun them all down.  ALL 400 of them.  That's right, I used up ALL my ammo, except my handgun.


So I get him on my horse, which was reluctant to come to me for some reason, and 4 more mounted revenuers arrive.  I shoot them in the head with deadeye.  They ignore it.  All four of them throw dynamite at me.  Mission over.

 

What. The. F.  How the HELL am I supposed to fight that?

Not sure how, but some asshat managed to destroy 6 goods during trade route this evening. Not sure if it was just one person or multiple, I was focused on the ACTUAL OBJECTIVE. I don't understand the point of it, like you're just wasting your own time (as well as everyone else's) at that point. 

 

Explosives should be disabled during trade route, salvage, and condor egg

Its so frustrating that when other player kills your road block and then you get agents on you! Same with other players trigger the bounty timer! Why can´t R* fix this?

Your experiences in this game are so much different than mine that I often wonder if we are playing the same game at all.

When I get that mission, I go to the location, kill a few NPCs with 1 or 2 shots each (I usually use a pump-action shotgun loaded with slugs from horseback), get the guy to climb on the back of my horse, and head to the drop-off location. Along the way back I might have to kill a few NPCs who spawn in and chase behind.

The entire thing takes no more than 5 or 6 minutes...

They were at a shack on the other side of a river, so I set up behind a tree with my rolling block, and picked them off with headshots, one at a time.  I was doing well, they kept coming out of cover because they couldn't get across the river, so every shot was a kill.  I used up all 100 express rounds, then all the high velocity, then all the regular, then all 100 of my repeater rounds before they were all gone.

Honestly, I wouldn't complain except that sticks of dynamite are NOT hand grenades, and shouldn't be exploding on impact.

Wow, 400 rounds. How much xp and how many bodies were there to loot?
You may have made out well from the loot and any treasure maps from loot or rank increase.

Didn't have time to loot anything, the mission was on a timer.  By the time I'd killed everything, I had about 3 minutes left.

Are you sure there werent a player there? Maybe in the middle of the fight, without looking in the radar and if he attacked you before tossing the dynamite, I already got confused thinking a player was a npc because his red dot was mixed with several others.

 

 I would love seeing npc’s starting to use dynamites and other throwables in some situations though.

on PS4 they did, recently not so much. then again I rarely run into those, and even if I do I just ride by. after 15-20 guys you shoot, there's only 5-10 to loot.  SCREWED!

Bodies vanishing while you're looking at them at a distance of 10 feet or less is one of the dumbest 'features' of R*'s limited prop count.

I have finished camp defends and had ZERO bodies to loot at least 5 or 6 times.

Roadblocks will often only give you 3 out of an initial 8-10.

 

None of this happens in solo sessions.

Ever.

Today's little cheater fest:

Temps were far too cold for the area: -6 in the Heartlands?

Got teleported to the ginseng farm along with several other players, some f*ckwit thought they were helping us out perhaps?

I have a surprise for ya: we don't want your 'help', dipsh*t!

Next session was nothing but rain and multiple wolf spawns again.

 

When I did pick some ginseng, I instantly got awarded 3 for the daily and no more ta the farm counted.

R*...fix your sh*t, if you don't want us to be able to pick the 5 THAT YOU PUT THERE, just remove one, don't come up with some bullsh*t bandaid for it.

Just make the game work PROPERLY for a f*cking change, instead of letting random people with cheat menus try to do it for you.

 

I know it's a bizarre concept. 🤔

Wow I had a similar complaint a few pages back except it was one npc that head shot the seller while on my shoulder. Fully convinced these are scripted missions to slow up our selling because there currently is no cool down on moonshine sales

I've been doing some collecting. Have 10 sets of every coin except 1. Would go up to the missing coins destination, my metal detector would light up completely, but wouldn't give me a option to dig. Submitted two tickets to rockstar, with screen shots.No response for 3-4 days. Then went on YouTube, found out there's a bug and a workaround for the 1792 quarter. So thank you to the people that play the game, and good going rockstar support.

It's a known bug, there are 2 similar quarters, and if you have max of one it won't let you collect the other until you sell the first one, it's been going on for months now.

Something like that.

I don't generally keep 10 for more than a couple of days, I try to sell all sets of 9 and keep 8, so I almost always have room for looted collectibles, especially alcohols.

Frustrating night so far.

 

Arrive in the game, go to deliver moonshine that's been sitting since yesterday, as I didn't have time before bed.  So, I log in and have to wait for morning (I don't drive at night).  Half an hour later, I get to make the delivery to Van Horn.  Stopped by revenuers, they start shooting at me, as usual (do they EVER just wave you through anymore?).  So I gun it and go to get away, but before the wagon even starts moving, they've already destroyed a quarter of the shipment.  Less than 2 seconds.  Oh well, frustrating, but such is life.  I ride away.  Now, in the past, that's it.  I just have to get to the buyer.  Not tonight.  Now, there's an ARMY of mounted revenuers after me.  5 groups of 5 of them.  There was a sixth, but someone intercepted them out of the goodness of her heart.  By the time I finish them off, I've only got about half the load left.


So, I get myself a bounty.  I'm in VAN HORN, now.  The target is in a a camp off in the wild, above the N in Ambarino on the map.  Takes about 20 minutes just to GET there, and by that time, it's night.  Can't fight at night, especially in thick trees, so I figure I'll wait until morning in the little tower overlooking the world (awesome spot, by the way).  I go to get a drink while I wait for daylight, but while I'm in the kitchen, it starts the timer.  By the time I get back (and I was only gone 2-3 minutes), I've got 3 minutes left.  What a bloody waste, why the HELL are all the bounties 4000 miles away?


So, frustrating.  Now I have to ride 4000 miles back to civilization.

Thats why I always stop the shine wagon before the reveneurs, get off it and kill them all, then I go back to it and every next wave I don’t fight them while driving unless theres the 5 min delivery, almost every delivery is done intact and the only dmg is from the driving itself.

 

About not playing at night, hows your gamma settings? Maybe raise it a little bit? I even think that nights in this game should be darker. Its way too bright and the need for lanterns is only inside a cave.

i spend alot of time in ambarino i love the snowy atmosphere but why does it not snow why does it rain come on this place is known to have blizzards seen as colter is abandoned and we see one during the beginning of the story why does online not have snowfall

Lacy programming or the graphic engine in the game can´t handle it!

 

I´m more irritated that we can´t have a camp in the snow!

during Christmas its snowing constantly and i got some awesome pics in saint denis during the snowfall i just want it to snow instead of rain its not like it rains that much anyway

Wish they'd listen but 90 percent of companies don't give a damn, look at that R* suggestion box they made to seem like they listen tons spammed them about the rocket bike being removed and explain in detail why they should or fixes but they couldn't give a hoot what people think or have their hands tied by higher ups that's why they're re-releasing GTAV Vanilla story and Online.

 

Just say'n, don't know why anyone believes these companies will listen their good will should be gone. They will make money no matter how many of us on this forum complain it doesn't change because normies or whales will reward them for this bad behaviour heck was barely addressed when they issued the Launcher nobody wanted. Games media protects these guys because shiny graphics big open world. Only Steam shows some true ratings. We have this issue with Bungie, Microsoft Studios, EA, Activisio/Blizzard, TakeTwo (R*). Hell looks like T2 is trying to lead the way to make games 10 dollars more for next gen, I really don't see them ever listening to the community ever again.

 

This forum and like the other forums are ignored if they cared they'd look on them and realize these forums have everything they need to fix these games but that's not money. God I hate spewing out garbage but honestly who thinks we're getting anywhere talking to these corporations now it's like talking to a wall. Sorry to rant on yer message but when I see something about them listening I can't see it, I go on all these forums to see suggestions and nothing changes that is suggested these companies are tone deaf wish it wasn't like that.
