The river west of Valentine. Reliable Northern Pike spawns, they sell for $8.00 each and you're a 15 second ride from the butcher.

 

A little further away, but south-west of valentine on the Dakota river you will catch Sockeye Salmon and Steelhead Trout. Both sell for around $2.50 each and you can carry 10 of each.

So is there a way to make drawings on the map actually stay on the map instead of disappearing every time I log off? Example the panther that spawns down by catfish Jackson is drawn on my map say if I kill it but when I log on the next day the little drawing is gone. Sure I know by memory where it spawns but other animals not so much, also what of landmarks or POIs? The little placemarkers you can put down also vanish when I log off, I'm I doing something wrong?

2 part question here

First how does "player assassination" work from stranger missions? I ask because I started one earlier and as soon as the cutscene ended and it put me outside the bar the player was basically waiting outside holding dynamite like he knew I was coming, I mean I still shotguned him but he knew that fast?

 

Second does this game actually make other players "ghost" mode or immune for a few seconds when you spawn in to prevent you the player from spawning in and immediately killing someone? The more I notice these ghosted players are usually when I just respawn plus I see others respawn and are ghosted

Idk, but it might be about different type of ammo you can buy. At 28lvl you can buy at Fence pamphlet to craft split ammo. Every kill gets you +5xp, so for headshotting NPC you get 5xp for kill, 5xp for headshot and 5xp for ammo type.

Figured something out and thought somebody else may be interested, so I’ll self answer my own fake question. 

 

Is there a way to make gun engravings more visible?

 

Why yes, there is. If you’re like me and prefer having dark metals on your guns with bright engravings, simply select which style you want and leave the default color. Then scroll slowly through each of the colors, so that they load. After gold, the next click should put you at the default color, which now has a bold effect. Select it even though it’s chosen. I dunno if it does anything but I did it anyways. This saves until you change it, so it’ll always be there. 

 

Of course, this will most likely work with dark engravings on light metals, but it doesn’t seem to “pop” as much. I haven’t tried this with starting off on gold (on dark) and then scrolling through, since I can’t afford it (and wouldn’t opt for that anyways).

I guess you find one on the road, jump on it and throw the driver off and then go fishing. That's what I saw on a video anyway.

Thought about this as well.

Only tedious part would be backing out of butcher menu between each fish to grab another from wagon.

Assuming doesnt register in your inventory so wouldn't be available like horse cargo.

They said it’s gonna start rolling out in 24hrs and added deadlines. Idk to which one you’re reffering because it was 15gold + 250$, 15 gold + 100$ and bonus $ depending on your version of the game.

I got my $1100 for UE+pre order on the 21st. I think today (24th) is the final day it should credit.

 

Edit: Just checked the Newswire, cash gift rollout started on the 21st, but it doesn't give an end date.

Yes, it has a slower reload time but as far as I know, it hits harder.

Already tested and one shot kill.

You're going to be using it at distance anyway so do you really need to have a faster reload time? Make your shot count.

I may buy the Carcano at some point though, as I do like it, however I'm beginning to wish we had a gun locker to remove unused weapons (*cough* carbine repeater *cough*)

One guy in his YT videos says if you kill cops or have bad honor you can go to your camp and "reset" it to the middle. I've looked and see no way of doing this, but mine is in the middle now anyway (I got it down to trigger the last 2 missions).

 

Anyone heard of this or know how it's done?

It's not in your camp, it's a special character Old Jones. On a map there is a two-faced icon. Be noticed: it cost you 3 gold bars.

I've seen him around but this guy specifically says your camp has some reset feature but I don't think it dies.

Well I can say with confidence that spitting at them doesn't lower your honor any, can't say for sure about the opposite though.

Probably not then. Throwing fish back definitely increases it still, although they needed the sh*t out of that method with the balance update they did.
