Here is my creation , the best i could get to looking like myself with this really bad character creator .....

Some people are complaining, that the creator is too basic, so I hope you all spotted the "customize" option in the lower right corner (press (X) on Playstation) so you can do more detailed adjustments (chin, nose, cheeks,etc)

i did , and used it on everything it gave that option on , some things you dont have the option. Its still basic as hell. Most of the changes you make , you can hardly notice that much , even zoomed in and turned to the side. Its 2018 and there are much better character creators ive used in the past. Just kinda disappointed in that honestly. Not to mention they try hard to make everyone look like they have scabies. (and yes i spent alot of time on mine trying my best to make it look like me, since i knew as of now i cant go back and adjust)

 

I just expected more from rockstar in something they spent 8 years on and made for this console generation. The skin on the people look so horrible. There just is not enough variance in these things. Need a better sculpting tool imo.

Saints Row 2 character creator from a decade ago is miles ahead of this. I would honestly rather have 10-20 WELL DONE preset faces than the custom mongoloid offerings we have now.

 

Every female toon I've made has god damn wrinkles....at age 18... with all complexion noise turned off. I swear, maybe it comes down to body type because I keep picking athletic and I wonder if the smooth skin female toons are skinny bitches.

Wow, very impressed. Those are some great looking characters here in this topic. And they look vastly different. No more clone armies like in GTAO. Very cool!

 

Once I figure out how to upload screenshots, im will post my character as well!

I found it kind of hard to make a decent looking female character but this is what I came up with. I will probably make changes to her, her name is Kitty.

Even the best looking characters look a bit sh*t from certain angles or under certain lighting from what I've seen. The creator still has the problem of making chins too small or too big too. It's easier to hide with males and facial hair, female characters either look okay or bloody awful lol.

You can make better looking girls in GTA. Missing options that should be in, and the options don't change a lot from min slider to max slider. No reason the creator should be so limited. There are  PS2 and even mobile games have a better creator than this.

 

I couldn't make what I really wanted to make. As a guy from the Caribbean I prefer to use a character close to my color, but in this game, that mean simian apparently. GTA was pretty limited but with the right parent combo you could wash the 'monkey' out of the dark characters. It's a shame that R* seems to think everyone that's dark has harsh features. I'll try if a second slot opens up. But going through the intro multiple times is tiring.

 

To be fair, in this game, everyone looks bad, they look like products of incest or monkeys, no one was spared.

 

Anyway I present Ami part 2. Like the 5th character I tried. Probably as good as I'm going to get. I would have liked fuller lips, like my first attempt of her, but the way the creator works, a fuller set of lips would've been lower on her face and then she would've looked simian.

 

Now there's an issue of one of my previous characters's mugshot and name appearing in my stats. Whatever.
