There's an option when you're viewing the item to see what the recipe is while you're in Gus' menu.

It's Tab on PC, I don't know the PS control, for example the horse stamina drain trinket used 3 snowy egret plumes and the Blakely necklace if I remember correctly.

They all use one collectible plus animal/bird materials.

It's most likely the R3 button on PS4, but not everything is described properly.

 

For instance the gauntlets, it says Gus needs a '1 x perfect buck pelt'...

 

So does that mean a pronghorn buck pelt, or a whitetail buck pelt, or a whatever buck pelt ???

Sorry, I mean with the Legendary Animals. I dont know what they make apart from the Marble Fox and the Moonstone Wolf. I have seen people mention gloves and ponchos.

The only thing the legendary animals make are the same exact coat, except with the hood of the animal you killed.

Only poncho you can make so far is with 1 perfect wolf pelt. I think if you press R3, it gives you the list of what's needed to craft the item.
