GTA 1 back in 1998. I've pretty much played every other GTA  in order of release and the year they were released (with a couple of exceptions).

 

Playing the first GTA was really cool though. I used to rush home from school and spend hours playing it. Those were the days. Hard to think that was 20 years ago.

I think it's 3 although I bought it together with Vice City and San Andreas.

GTA 2,a friend borrowed it to me in 2003.The first GTA game with a 3D third person perspective that I played was GTA VC,in 2005.

It may be hard to believe but GTA V was my first GTA and I played it around 2013/2014 when it was new. Yeah, I've only played this game series for about 4 or 5 years, yet I have so much experience with it in that short of time, which just makes it that more amazing!  However, I've KNOWN about the series since about 2006. I also used to hate the GTA series for a pretty long time. Back when GTA IV/EFLC came out in 2008 as well as even before then, I was not very fond at all of any M rated video game series, adult cartoons, and horror movies. Now, M rated games are all I play. I look back to the years I hated M rated games and think to myself "Man, I was missing out!"

Man, this game brings back memories. I first started playing the game on the PSP in 2007. (i think it was 2007 or 8 either one) Back then, I really loved cars and driving them, and all I did was f*ck around and never did any missions. I also never killed anyone and drove around in the Kuruma in the beginning in the game. But eventually, I started to play the game for real.

GTA 2 but I found it too difficult & weird (was like 7 years old) and dropped it. Then 2 years later I played VC and loved it, so that's my first "real" GTA and a special game overall for me. Thought GTA 3 was boring in comparison when I played it, only finished it once (obviously should have played it first).

I can't remember the years I first played them but in order:

 

GTA 2, had it on my PS1 as a kid and played it a lot. 

GTA VC, played it at my cousins house as a kid, but he wouldn't let me play San Andreas for some reason, so I bought it and played the hell out of it.

It was in 1999 with GTA 1. It was a clusterf*ck with the aerial view but I had ''let's go for a joyride'' playing. 2 was better than 1 to me, despite the aerial view for me still. It was all over and began a new GTA journey with lll though, I played that every day. VC, San Andreas after they came out, then Liberty City Stories. VC and San Andreas were the games that I loved to play. I played lll at times too, but not more than VC when it came out. It was actually 2 years when IV came out that I played it along with EFLC. I wasn't playing games a few years before (my PS2 had clunked), that or keeping up with news and updates and working nights. It was 3 years later after V came out when I played it, though I remember watching the trailer.

It was Vice City, back in 2004 or 2005 - I don't really remember the year. Got instantly hooked, only to hit a deadlock with Demolition Man. Played SA a little bit later, but didn't get as hooked (and my PC run it worse).

GTA 2, then London, both times too young to understand the way the game worked or what I was supposed to be doing, so I forgot about the series until GTA3. Never did play the original.

GTA 3 back in ..2007 I think? I got SA as my second in 08 and VC in the same year. Always been a bit behind. Managed to play all of them though.

I firstly played the original GTA From 1997. I played both GTA 1 AND 2, back in I think in 2005 or 6. I was 9-10 years old, when I got my first pc. But didn't played seriously. Just messed around. Back then I didn't even know that GTA top down ones and 3D ones were connected, from the same creators.

  Anyway, I played Vice City Demo back in 2011 i think. San Andreas and GTA III in 2012 and then I strated playing seriously and became a fan.

  Also first time played GTA IV in 2013. GTA Chinatown Wars aslo in 2013. GTA V in 2016. LCS in 2018 this year, recently. Only gta game I didn't played yet is VCS. I even played GTA Advance. Anyway.

The first GTA I played was Vice City back in, what? 2004 or 2005  . I remember being fascinated by its atmosphere and its music. I played GTA III after "finishing" VC because I thought that I finished the game when the missions stopped, so I moved to III. When I was at school talking with a friend he told me that I had to buy properties in Vice City and do their missions in order to see the real end of the game...

GTA IV was the first for me. It was Christmas 2010 and I decided to buy myself the game. I hadn't really followed this series and really did not know what to expect. All I wanted was to drive and do missions. Boy I was in for a big surprise. I was blown away right from the start. IV is on my all time favorite games list, right at the top.

GTA 2 on the ps1 back in the late 90s.

It was my favorite game and I would play the sh*t out of it just as much as I did the 3D games.

I'd invite my friends over to play the game and then they would leave because I would be playing it the entire day ^_^

Then GTA 3 came out ... and my life was forever changed.

Liberty City stories would be my third most favorite GTA after San Andreas (GTA 3 being #1).

I don't understand the hate for LBCS, it's such a fun game plus that arab radiostation is f*cking awesome.

I wish Rockstar would go back to making spinoff games instead of just one or two GTAs for each decade.

Probably the first GTA i played was Vice City on my dad's PC . Loved it since the start (which is probably the reason why i still like 80s music and culture even today) .

GTA1 on PS1. I remember driving cars using a steering wheel, but to be honest, I had no idea what I was doing in the game apart from creating chaos and driving. I caught up with the series again in Vice City.

GTA 2 on the PC sometime in the summer of 2001 at a friend's house for myself - convinced my parents to get the game for me later that year.

I vividly remember playing the Downtown District and Residential District just goofing off and causing all sorts of chaos. I knew right then and there I was playing a legendary video game that's part

of a legendary video game series. Hard to believe the game's gonna be 20 years old next year.

I got III and Vice City in 2004, San Andreas, the first game and the London mission packs in 2005, LCS and VCS in 2007, and every game save for Advance/Chinatown Wars the year they came out since.

GTA 1. I was around 7 or 8 and played it at a friend's house. I loved the open-world design, but kept crashing the Superbike.

 

The first game I finished was GTA Advance. The first 3D game I played was GTA III or Vice City (I can't remember if I played GTA III first). The first 3D game I finished was GTA: Vice City.
