So far I have only seen cosmetic stuff purchasable for that currency, didn't look like you could buy guns with it. Horse insurance is like $75 apparently, or probable some gold bars. Not sure if they're the same dresses from the "Bonus Outfits" included in the Ultimate Edition though, since what I got doesn't look like the dress in the prerelease screenshot at all lol. We aren't going to be earning a ton of money day 1 and we're not expected to own the best guns day 1 either. If cosmetics are the only thing purchasable for the Gold bars that's potentially a great move IMO. I didn't get far enough before being disconnected to see other players in free roam. But the L2 lock-on interaction allows character emotes, like waving or finger guns. Saw a few minutes from the stream and npc density is toned down quite a bit, so definitely not so alive as SP... TBH not so excited any more, but we will see soon enough... No voices, but you can customize your whistle and there are emotes. No aim lobby segregation. You have work hard to make a good looking character, the defaults are ugly. You can buy whatever you want at any time via a catalogue you carry around with you, so anyone can replish ammo, items, weapons, at any time. then collect at your local Wal-Mart pickup general store. Still convoluted plausibility. Horse dies while stealing them with friends? It's "mission failed", restart from "checkpoint". Mini-heists anyone? Just lost even more interest for this game. Rockstar has ZERO clues about online immersion.
