Psyperactive81 91
G'day Outlaws Noob question here regarding the Crews. ( I was always a loner back in RDR1 so I never had the experience of being in a crew) I just created on today in the Social Club and naturally it only states it's for GTAV and MaxPayne (Because RDO is..... still.... not yet live) Are their any specific crew perks that are unlocked by playing with your crew or leveling up? Is there anything I need to do first? Any tips or pointers you may have that can help, would be greatly appreciated Thanks to all who take the time to respond
Red Lynx 23 2,990
I imagine the posse system form Red Dead Redemption's multiplayer will be used in Red Dead Online, just how different it will be is anyone's guess.
CrimsonFolo 1,075
There was no crews in RDR1, there was posses which were temporary crews in a sense. I would imagine they would have a few things that you can only unlock with being in a crew (normally cosmetic stuff) Just make sure to link your rockstar social club account and PSN/Xbox account and thats it really. IamCourtney 7,570
In GTAO you can generally find your crewmate's lobbies/sessions more easily, they're highlighted on the map for you and you get small bonuses to RP and mission payouts for playing with them. There are also less tangible benefits like people perhaps being reluctant to mess with you when they see others wearing the same tag, though other people might see it as a challenege and be MORE likely to engage. How it'll work in RDRO is anybody's guess.

Yeah, I was was under the impression that posses were a only temporary thing till I saw the achievement Posse Up that says: You formed a Persistent Posse. Not sure what they mean by a Persistent Posse, but I hope this means our GTAV crews become Posses in RDO Edited November 26, 2018 by Psyperactive81
Tazzytizer 179
I hope we can make posses or crews, similar to GTA. With the launch of the beta tomorrow, here's hoping we can start making them beforehand
gtmike 657
I read that the posse limit will be 7 people, so I'm guessing that they will be more (exactly) like organizations or motorcycle clubs in GTAO. Crews will hopefully remain as a more meta group of people that can join each others lobbies etc.
TheOriginalGunslinger 7,126
Crews were never a thing in Red Dead Redemption multiplayer. You are thinking posses. Crews were introduced in Max Payne 3 multiplayer. One thing I’m going to look out for considering this is a Beta is if posses will encounter issues when transitioning from Free Roam to other game modes. Hopefully we all stick together without getting dropped out and stuff. Edited November 27, 2018 by TheOriginalGunslinger
LegendarySaiyan 72
We will be able to Posse Up in the Free Roam with other Random players or Friends just like we could in RDR1 We might be able to create Gangs, similar to Crews on GTAO, or maybe our Crew from GTAO will work like a Gang on RDO
redrum187x 52
Was always hoping our posse would hold like 15 players instead of the 7-8 like gta. I’m in a decent sized crew and it would be good to be able to do things together as a posse instead of having to split into two or three.
