Question about BIG SPOILER in the game

Hi! 

 

I was just wondering if anyone has tested out the possibilty of avoiding the tuberculosis trigger cutscene/mission in Saint Denis? 

 

If I avoid going close to the Sadie mission where it triggers the cutscene can I play the rest of my life with a healthy cowpoke from then on?

 

I played the story already and I want to go back to  chapter 6 and catch the legendary bullgator and obtain other stuff that is only available in chapter 6 with healthy Arthur.

I would assume nothing would happen as doing missions progress the story so as long as you don't trigger that mission, you shouldn't theoretically get sick. 

(Bullgator is available after chapter 6 btw, all legendary animals (Not In New Austin) are if you are concerned about that)

So even if I go nowhere near Saint Denis the mission will trigger itself? Are you sure about that?

I thought Bullgator is available after chapter 5 and all the other legendary animals I have hunted and it wasn't even Chapter 3 when I hunted the first one?

Even if doesn’t trigger the mission Arthur will still get sick as it is part of the story really, it’s unavoidable as far as I know

Bullgator is available after chapter 4 after a certain mission (the mission it's featured in)

 

All legendary animals are available for killing except for the three in New Austin.

I thought I explained I was not going to go to the area where it triggers the cutscene. Sorry if my message was too hard to understand.

Ok great.

 

I was actually able to go to New Austin as Arthur and hunt 2/3 legendary animals there but third one was bugged and the first clue didn't show up. I gotta try again and see if I am able to hunt the third one too next time I do the glitch.

Oh, I get you now. So you wanna play all the other missions except the one he gets sick without being sick?!

Yes all the missions, collectibles, challenges etc until that point and then just roam the world and chill as Arthur. 

 

I know I can't finish the game without Arthur dying so I would of course stop doing story missions after reaching chapter 6.

You could avoid St Denis and not trigger the mission I would assume, but if I remember right Arthur starts looking sick the moment he gets back so he'd still look sick even if you're not suffering from it gameplay wise yet.
