woggleman
There is some bathroom humor like the guy on the toilet in the Valentine hotel but for the most part I like it a lot. It shows that Rockstar doesn't need to rely on penis jokes like they did in GTA V. Some of the stranger missions are hilarious and we all know about getting drunk with Lenny. I hope they follow this path in the next GTA. Cutter De Blanc, Rafae, Algonquin Assassin and 3 others
jje1000
A lot of the humor comes from Arthur's sense of sarcasm, and I find him endearing for that. But I agree- the humor is far more muted and mature in RDRII, probably because it's a more serious game. It doesn't appear everywhere, but in the right spots (like what you've said, the Valentine hotel). saintsrow
We can assume that Lazlow was not involved. PS: Lazlow was credited in RDR2. Maybe they edited out all his dirty jokes. Boozey St John
MaddenedGhost
Spoilers, this is a line that I found funny while playing a mission: In that mission where you go to the graveyard you and John and have to shoot your way out of there (like most missions in this game lol) Arthur goes back to Dutch and he asks him about how the mission went and Arthur says "Well we about doubled the population of that graveyard" haha Arthur's sarcasm makes everything enjoyable Edited November 25, 2018 by Maddened_Ghost Dr.Rosenthal, Priyantha1, IamCourtney and 5 others
Priyantha1
I loved the dialogues. In Country Pursuits when you are getting chased by the bullgator when saving Jules. You hear Arthur shouting at Dutch "shoot something" and then real aggitated "fire of a couple of warning shots just to pretend you care" hilarious You can see it here from 10:35 to 10:55 https://youtu.be/qqoV3jRDBbY Edited November 25, 2018 by Priyantha1 Dr.Rosenthal, saintsrow, tonko and 1 other
JumpingKentFlash
The humour is great because it’s not overdone. Here and there you get these great little lines that just makes you laugh. Like my favourite from Micah: Ain’t no woman ever told me nothing ‘cept make yourself scarce. REVENGE777 and saintsrow

Journey_95
The humor feels natural, not forced and cringeworthy like in GTA V. Helps that it's not focused on current America humor (like the sh*t with Jimmy.)..just lame and not funny tonko, Jabalous, Rafae and 2 others
Jabalous
The humor and social commentary in GTA V were too much and poorly done in many instances. RDRII is more on the level of the satire found in Mafia 2. It's subtle, not used everywhere and an evolution from Redemption. Hopefully this tone will carry over to GTA 6 as it's the time to reboot the writing in the crime series. TheSantader25
Arthur is the king here. Glad we can have a DEVELOPED and FUNNY protagonist at the same time. Protagonists should be funny and charming. Not like Niko

Not like Reveal hidden contents Niko It's a good thing Niko is funny and has charm then. Anyway I really enjoy the humour in this game. I didn't expect it honestly and while things get really depressing towards the end I admire that the script/writing allows for some light hearted moments like A Quiet Time. And as you can see people are talking about the humor of Arthur, RDR2 and also talking about not liking the humor in GTA V. And I am free to talk about humor of characters and different games as well. There's no derailing here. I didn't talk about Niko's other attributes. I talked about HUMOR. I hope R* understand that they can have funny and well developed protagonists at the same time. They don't need to sacrifice one for another like they did in GTA V and GTA IV. This is the R* I knew from the 3D era. Edited November 26, 2018 by TheSantader25 King Vercetti
woggleman
I found myself laughing at Niko's sarcasm all the time. MaddenedGhost
Arthur and Hosea (and Dutch) "Let me row ... you boys are too old for real labor no more" "And you're too dumb for anything else" "You're still too quick for me old man" "I enjoy picking on children" as Hosea pats on Arthur's shoulder.
