Found this writing on the side of a mountain wall any ideas. Last time I posted it I totally forgotten my account was private sorry for that.

I saw your last post and was able to open the image with no problems, I don't know why it got locked down.

Can you remember the exact location of this? I would like to take a look myself

 

From what I can tell, it looks like a visual representation of Oktas, which is used to measure the amount of clouds in the sky (see below).

However in this case it is only split into 4 quadrants instead of 8, and instead of showing clouds it is showing the position of the sun to the left with the direction of it going down (hence towards the west), plus the location of another unknown object.

This obviously means that what whatever it is, it will only occur at a specific time of day. So you need to be facing the north (with west on your left, east on your right) at an unknown area for this event to trigger

If I'm not mistaken, it goes along with the the panoramic map

 

Some people believe it is also used with note that talks about 2am to help you find the UFO's in the game. However others say there is not enough evidence to make that claim. So I guess it's open ended at this point.

You guys are alot of help I keep finding lots of things like this all I do is explore little by little and you will be surprised at how much detail they put into this game!

This is the exact location for this. It is hidden against the mountain you can walk to it but it may look as if you cannot but there is a small edge you can walk on to get to it .

This shows one of the clues to the location for the panoramic map. All this does is give you the correct orientation to view it from.

The actual location is close by.

When you first look at the map you would assume that it shows a road by a stream, but that's the railroad tracks that cross the mouth of the river...

 

The phrase...

"Some look left, some look right but the answer is right in front of us" comes to mind.
