Who's excited for the RDO battle royale ?

I used to hate multiplayer and just like to be play immersive single player.

 

But western cowboy style battle royale actually got me pretty excited.

 

Anyone else feel the same?

Could be fine. Wouldn't want it to be R*'s main focus but I could definitely get into it from time to time.

Definitely keen to try the PvP here, can't wait to expand my gaming s I shy away from it in GTA:O. Very hopeful I stay/return, because then R* did it right.

No idea. I’ll wait to see it before I think too much about it. The idea could be amazing, but there are just too many ways they can completely f*ck it up.

I think it could work quite well. Perhaps a sandstorm or literal storm could close in and force players together.

 

Duos and squads could be explained as posses of 2/4.

 

There's already a survival-lite aspect to the game which would work quite well, eat and drink to refill stamina and health, hunt to get food or use animals as traps for other players.

 

I think it could be a really good BR

Freemode is my kinda thing but if this mode does exist, I'll play it too and give it a try as well. Could be interesting, especially if hostile animals exist as well in the BR.

I'd enjoy some with hostile animals added too, but hoping they're not like GTA's cops at times. They can break up a good fight too much I found on occasion. But equally it's another challenge to it too. 

 

Just a bit of variety I mean. If freemode is more expanded and things like DM's or LTS's are to be more in freemode as opposed to jobs like GTA (On call/hosted etc). I'd like to fight the players as opposed to the NPC's, lol.

Battle Royales are a fad that's dragged on far too long

Battle Royale is a new game mode just like once Capture The Flag or TDMs were new. So you better get used to it and don't let your judgement cloud by games that you don't like. It's literally just a deathmatch in which the game area shrinks.. this is basically all it is.

 

Just because it's " trendy"to mock all those new games revolved around the mode to try to jump a train to make some cash or whatever doesn't make the mode itself bad.. I mean come on..

 

BR is a fairly interesting game mode and it could work really well in a game like this! Definitely looking forward to it.

Definitely interested to see how this works! I can see it being a mode that people will play as an addition to the Freemode.

 

A little off topic question though.. why is it when I read about RDO game modes and that adversary modes were gonna be a thing, people were distasteful of them? How many people here actually liked the adversary modes in GTAO? I liked them a lot and am interested to see what RDO does with game modes.

I hate MP for this reason. Like guy above said, running around like chicken w head cut off, looking for dots to kill. Travel and kill dot to dot is fkin stupid.

 

What would be nice is if R* got rid of the map markers pointing out every persons location.  This would make things much more interesting and dynamic.

'Battle Royale' in RDO isnt even a real Battle Royale. Its 32 players in a shrinking circle only able to use a knife and bow. 

 

So just as lame as GTAO Motor Wars......

Until they remove the auto aim lock on BS, I won’t be engaging in PvP. It feels too cheap. We need a hardcore free aim experience like RDR1.

It's an optional game-mode, not the primary game-mode.

Extreme mode update, so easy to implement like Freeaim but will they do it as it would make normal servers more empty
