Your Favourite Mission?

Howdy partners!

Just curious what the one mission that you enjoyed the most is/was?

Any mission counts of course, story or strangers, action packed or cutscenes heavy, many reasons yo love a moment out there in this game I feel. Some crazy cats out there too. Look forward to see what folk think, I'll add mine of course.

The Smell of Grease and Paint II.

Though I thoroughly enjoyed this whole stranger strand. I love the movie Freaks from 1932, and feel there's some great references in this game from that classic, felt bad to begin with there too, lol. Poor Bertram. But I'm so looking forward to giving him another smack on my new save. Chasing that chap around the woods was so much fun though, belly laughs all the way through, little sh*t, lol. Totally out of the blue too when sucked into the story alongside. Great mission for me.

Yours?

Not really my fav but I really liked the mission at the mayors house at the party. Walking around all those people and the fireworks, I didn’t expect this game to show so much high class.

LENNAH!

It was so fun and unique.....

And the final part of Martha's mission strand. I loved seeing an actual lion, was not expecting that.... and Arthur's reaction was pretty damn funny too. "You didn't think to tell me it was a REAL lion this time?!"

LENNY! is an all-timer.

Also really enjoyed the end of chapter 3 (that Braithwaite stuff was harsh as hell, especially if you go back later and finding her burned body).  And the hot air balloon mission that kicks off chapter 6.

I haven't finished chapter 6 yet, even... will probably be adding to the list.

I'm really bad with names but whatever the mission was where pretty much the whole gang mounted up and we went to go take out that old lady and her gang. I was hyped.

Nice!

I anticipated a fair share of love for 'A Quiet Time' That mission is absolute gold. But this game really does have some memorable moments about everywhere. So much depth to these characters and the world/story. Bloody amazing.

Once I completed all the hunting requests and met the sick woman behind the madness and listened to her philosophy on taxidermy, after I had finally stopped laughing, I knew I'd just played my favorite mission, though it doesn't really involve doing anything other than watching and listening.

As far as hands-on missions go, nothing was more dramatic than burning down the manor and watching that sick racist slaving ***** burn alive. Riding down that trail with those trees lined up, in the darkness, with the lanterns going --- that's next level sh*t. Proof that gaming is beyond cinema. Just... awe-inspiring.

It really was quite beautiful that approach to that house.

(I posted info regarding you having missing missions, hopefully you read it before continuing if you still plan to get 100%. Peace out man, thanks for contributing).

The bank robbery in Valentine was a hoot for me. Had a bunch of fun going through that.

Also, the mission with you and Lenny having a couple drinks in the Valentine saloon..comedy gold, there. Literally fell out of my chair laughing.

A Quiet Time is always my favourite fun mission.  LENNY!!!

But the best one for me and most iconic is Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern (Braithwaite Manor) mission.  The bit where Dutch says "That's right, burn this dump to the ground!" is brilliant.

So many great missions to pick from. I just did the mission where you rob the train with John, Sean and Charles. The start of that mission was great. The shots of everyone hiding in the trees and Arthur ontop of the oil tank while the train comes to a stop.

My Last Boy.

At the start of the mission Micah has successfully wormed his way into Dutch's lap. You can really start to see the cracks and division in the gang. I love when Arthur comes to the realization that Dutch only gives a sh*t about the money and would rather leave Arthur to die. Arthur saved the ones he cared about in the end. The true meaning of Redemption.

I liked the mission where you rob a stagecoach with Trelawney. It was nice to see a plan go off without a hitch for a change.

Funny thing is, it is possible for it to end in a shootout, albeit a small one, just like The Spines of America. Would've been great if more missions had multiple outcomes like that.

So many good ones already mentioned (I absolutely love Our Best Selves/Red Dead Redemption), but some good side ones are The Veteran and Charlotte the Widow. Those side missions are so nice and cozy that I wish there was an alternate ending where Arthur could leave the gang and just hang with those two til he died. Oh, Brother and The Artist's Way were also hilarious.

They're all the same thing; plan goes wrong let's shoot everyone.

I like Jim Milton rides again because it had a awesome build up and it wasn't ridiculous, you go and take care of a gang that's been harassing you and then you never hear from any of them again. That was bad ass.

Country pursuits, where you're in the swamp with Dutch and looking in the crayfish traps. I can't even remember why I was there, but I remember thinking only R* could do something like this. Really cool mission.

Also Quiet Time. Cannot recall the last time a game had me laughing out loud.

But I also really liked the Money lending mission with the white cougar near Strawberry. This game needed more cave interior missions. Were only 2 iirc.
