BrandoMan98
Can we just talk about how Bull moose are absolutely nowhere to be found? Shadowfennekin
tonko
You can find about mooses in "are cougars extinct" topic, my boah.
Rykjeklut
Not sure it needs another thread, but yeah. They are rare. Only ever seen one bull, and two cows. Apparently they are found around the lake close to Lake Isabella.
Deadman2112
Yep, the moose is another one that is hard to find. I've found them in several locations. However with this animal, no location is a guaranteed find. So it's going to require patience on your part. ...Cairn Lake ...The left side of Lake Isabella ...Barrow Lagoon ...Cattail Pond ...Along the west side of the Dakota River to the west of the Downes Ranch. Best advice I can offer is leave your horse a good distance from the area and head in on foot and use the crouch to move slowly. Look for them eating or drinking near the edge of a water source. Also it may just be dumb luck as to when I've come across them but hey seem to prefer early morning and mist/foggy conditions. Last but not least, sent remover can help but is not required. ...best of luck Edited November 20, 2018 by Deadman2112 BrandoMan98 and Mach1bud
Shadowfennekin
Legit wasted 10 hours of my f*cking life trying to find a female moose And asking people for locations doesn't help as they think "Oh, did you watch this? It helped me! " acting like I'm not putting effort into finding the ONE f*cking animal I don't have skinned or studied

CrimsonFolo
I was slapping down herbivore bait next to Aurora basin and a bull moose appeared out of nowhere so i got lucky there i suppose.
Furi0sa
I''ve seen one during two playthroughs. Spawn rate seems insanely low. I'm just happy a perfect moose pelt wasn't required the that legendary satchel

Lonely-Martin
Not had any troubles really. I tend to get off my horse when hunting and just wander around in areas on these where the pictures are. Spend a little while to give the game time yo spawn stuff, keep slow and quiet rather than run to a fresh area just over the way. Same for cougars. Though with those as I was skinning them and leaving the carcass, often another Wouldn't spawn until I'd left and that body rotted away. Though one time I got a 2 in 1 so not 100%. The exotics will prove fun for some.

Ehrmantraut
In 2 playthroughs, I only managed to find 4 Mooses, 3 in Cattail Pond and 1 in Barrow Lagoon (in 2 occasions, I was carrying a legendary fish or animal). They seem to be glitched, I don't think that they are supposed to be so rare. People forget that you stink, especially if you haven't bathed recently. And even if you have, most animals can smell you coming unless you're downwind of them. Cover scent really helps in that regard, but only if you slap it on before entering their territory. (In eagle eye, you can see which direction your scent is wafting too. But winds change).
