It was getting dark, so I camped. The next day I started looking for him again, followed his tracks, and suddenly got a message in the left hand corner that said I had killed a legendary animal and that I should take the pelt to the trapper. What, did he die of natural causes? Rode round and round in circles looking for a carcass, but nothing. Suicide shouldn't be an option for the wildlife. No need to actually deliver it. It was a bit confusing to begin with, with what to do with skins and such; I was almost afraid to sell it to anyone. And, yes, the clothing (and any accomplishments) were all I really cared about. Qbert Posted November 18, 2018 Share Posted November 18, 2018 Be careful hunting the moose I believe it is(not sure it was by lake Isabella or whatever) shot the thing and it goes and dies in the water. Unable to skin it because apparently its to deep so I camped out still in the water restarted still in the water etc, even tried blowing it with dynamite which resulted in damaged legendary moose lol. saintsrow 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Something similar happened to me, I tracked to it the third and final clue and just as I came up over a small mound, the coyote died next to a decomposing carcass (possible food poisoning??) , I was able to skin it and get my trinket made, but my compendium is now incomplete since it shows 0/1 killed Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ravynwolvf Posted November 21, 2018 Author Share Posted November 21, 2018 I actually got a legendary bison pelt at almost the same time I got a perfect elk pelt (which I needed for a satchel). They wouldn't both fit on my horse, so I dropped the bison one, knowing it would find it's way magically to the trapper. Risky, but it did.
