That's a damn shame if true. Like you too I used to have that Pearson rabbit request trigger down to a tee. I'd hang around camp on Day 1 before doing any missions. Trigger all the camp interactions/conversations.. go out and hunt a deer and get a 3 star pelt. Come back.. and soon after you'd be able to walk straight up to him. Usually by around 10:30-11:00am in-game. Worked like a charm. Planning a new playthrough soon so will be annoyed if this is no longer achievable because I LOVE the jacket you get from it. Hate how Rockstar have seemingly neglected this game and made it worse with each and every passing update.

Yeah, we seem to get MORE glitches lately rather than less. I did FINALLY find a solution, thank goodness. I badgered Rockstar support until I got someone to actually listen and they told me the 'fix' was to leave camp like always, go do something (I hunt the cougar nearby), and come back and wait until right about 11:40 to 11:55 AM and he would go to his "spot" and starting doing the beer drinking/whistling thing but to get the greyed out dialogue to WORK, you have to approach him from JUST the right angle as far to his left as you can, almost across the table. If you get in JUST the right spot, the greet dialogue will ungrey and be accessible and viola, rabbit request. But it literally took me two weeks of back and forth with Rockstar to get that "fix"!

On the more positive side... I heard a new and possibly much more substantial rumor they are working on an RDR1 remaster and I AM EXCITED and hope this one is true!

Oh, that dialogue!! That is a funny dialogue. If you must keep this dialogue. Make sure you place Polite Society after The First shall be the Last/Sean's Party.

Polite Society dialogue fits better for early chapter 2.

You can try this mission order.  I will try out this mission order when I get around to it.

Arthur and gang been Cooped for 2 weeks in Horseshoe Overlook.

Day 1:

Hunting

Without Sin

-------

Day 2:

Go  to Valentine. Hitch horse at stables. If you see Thomas Downes. Talk to Downes for  the 1st dialogue. If, not.

Leave Valentine.

Hunting.

Strangers: A  Test of Faith

Stranger: Smoking and other Hobbies

Stranger: All that Glitters

Return to Valentine. Hitch horse at stables. Talk to Thomas Downes.

American at Rest-Afternoon

Dialogue( Dutch disappointed that Javier, Charles, Bill, and Arthur are fighting/drinking, not working).

Dialogue ( Dutch will tell Arthur go to Blackwater when he ready).

No mission should be after Americans at Rest.

Go into the Hotel/General Store.

Hotel Clerk dialogue about Polite Society will not happen yet.

Downes 2nd dialogue: Charity.  If you leave Valentine, Downes will disappear.

---‐---------

Day 3:

The First Shall be the Last

Sean's party

‐‐---------

Day 4:

Wake up noon

Polite Society

Dialogue ( Girls says Coop up for 2 weeks)(Girls We finally seeing some Civilization).

Dialogue ( Uncle says so you been drinking, instead of working).

Dialogue (Don't help the broken down wagon- Arthur says he has no energy for Charity) .

Well, thanks much for this! It totally did work to get both Downes dialogues AND the little extra dialogue about the fight with Uncle on the wagon. But it just felt all kinds of weird for me to take Arthur to town just to get the first Downes dialogue and then leave and then come back to do Americans at Rest and then leave and do all that and then come back to do Polite Society. I feel like to keep the flow and make RP sense, I just have to give up one or the other. I rather like having the bookend of the two Downes dialogues since he is such an important part of Arthur's story, so I guess I'll be giving up that little funny bit on the wagon!

No problem, I believe all Mr and Mrs. Downes interactions are a big part of Arthur's story.  I don't care if the 1st Mr. Downes dialogue is very small, if I missed it

, then I feel something is missing from Arthur's story leading up to getting TB.

The funny wagon dialogue  in Polite Society between Arthur and Uncle is not very important and can be missed.

Seeing Thomas Downes in Valentine many times looking for charity to  pay off the debt is more important than this funny wagon dialogue.  Polite Society is day 1-2 for me.

Chapter 2:

1-2 Mr. Downes dialogue.

Debt collecting, Arthur beats up Downes and gets TB.

Mrs. Downes shows up in camp, gives money and says her husband is dead.  I like to have Arthur overhear conversation.

Chapter 3:

After the bank job in Valentine, Arthur goes to Downes Ranch to collect more money. While they packing up, Arthur says to the son that revenge is a fools game.

Chapter 4:

Mrs. Downes working on the street of Saint Denis.

Chapter 6:

The boy is working  at the mine, and Mrs. Downes is still working on the streets in Annesburg. Arthur is suffering from TB everyday and felt guilty for ruining their life.

After Arthur meets the sister at the train station, I like to go help the Downes family, help the Braithwaite and Grey kids escape on the train, and help the sheriff in Valentine in American Dreams.

Yes exactly! It's the whole thread of redemption throughout starting with that first encounter at the charity table before the fight in Americans at Rest. It is just the core of the story for me. I have to have every little bit! 🙂

So, after so long I finally created my chronological order for Red Dead Redemption 2. I want to thank everyone who participated and shared their orders because I got a lot of inspiration from you.

So some notes in order to better understand it. I included every main mission (obviously) and I also tried to put in every side quest that I could while still trying to have it make sense story wise. Missions that appear on the same line (for example: Americans at Rest / Who Is Not Without Sin) indicate that they happen on the same day. I know there are some days that seem to be stuffed with a lot to fit in in a day (this is especially directed at Chapter 4) but remember that some of those are simply cutscenes or something like that. For example, the biggest one is The Noblest of Men, and a Woman, Part III (Saint Denis) / Idealism and Pragmatism for Beginners (Letter) / The Artist's Way, Part III / A Bright Bouncing Boy / Idealism and Pragmatism for Beginners, Part I, where the 1st one is a cutscene, 2nd one is just picking up a letter, 3rd and 4th are quick side missions that Arthur does while waiting for nightfall to visit the Mayor and the last one just segues into the next day. Just putting this here in order for people to not be overwhelmed by it. It may seem much but when you actually do it it's perfectly paced and definitely works.

I also tried to order this in a way that it makes sense story wise but also location wise, like for example: Social Calls With Mr. MacGuire (Home Robbery with Sean) / He's British, of Course / Aberdeen Pig Farm Robbery, Part I. Mission with Sean ends right near the place where He's British, of Course starts, and the Aberdeen Pig Farm is right around there, so it just fits. It gives Arthur a reason to actually meet these people by passing by them, instead of us having Arthur go there because there's a mission marker there. This way makes it more genuine.

Regarding the very beginning of Chapter 2, I have absolutely no problem putting Who Is Not Without Sin between Americans at Rest and The First Shall Be Last. After AaR, remember that the boys still need to go back to camp to get the supplies they need, like the tent and all, travel to Blackwater and scope the place out, so all that will actually take time. It makes no sense for Arthur to immediately go there. While they do that, I have Arthur take a bath at the hotel in Valentine and then ride back to camp, so I imagine by the time we arrive they have just departed. Arthur plans on going to sleep early in order to depart for Blackwater first thing in the morning but when he arrives he notices Swanson still hasn't returned, checks his drug paraphernalia and decides to check on him at Flatneck Station. He does it because he still has plenty of time, it's still afternoon and Arthur knows he needs to give the boys time to check things in Blackwater.

I wanted to do Arcadia for Amateurs, Part I early, around The First Shall Be Last, but it really is strange to do it there because of the coyote running around in the same place the shootout happens, so I put it when Arthur is riding to Strawberry to free Micah. I like it because it's quite on the way and it actually makes sense for Arthur to stop and talk to a stranger considering he's in no hurry to free Micah.

Absolutely love the sequence of Blessed Are the Meek? / We Loved Once and True, Part I / Money Lending and Other Sins, Part III, because it gives us an explanation on Arthur being really pissed off when he confronts Downes. He was already irritated by having to risk his life to save Micah, someone he doesn't like, then the whole thing gets worse when it turns into a bloody shootout with the whole town, then he returns and is greeted with a letter from the love of his life, which brings up all those feelings, most of them painful, and then he gets reminded by Strauss about a debt he needs to collect, something Arthur hates to do. It writes itself, just fantastic.

The reason why I do Arcadia for Amateurs, Part II / Watson's Cabin Robbery after We Loved Once and True, Part III is because I love the juxtaposition of Arthur going to commit a robbery after Mary's words to him at the train station. Arcadia is literally on the way to Watson's Cabin so it works there alright.

Chapter 3: Clemens Point

   * The New South
   * Further Questions of Female Suffrage
   * American Distillation
   * Fishing (Javier Escuella) / An Honest Mistake
   * The Course of True Love, Parts I & II / No Good Deed
   * The Course of True Love, Part III / Billy Midnight
     * Social Calls With Mr. MacGuire (Home Robbery with Sean) / He's British, of Course / Aberdeen Pig Farm Robbery, Part I
     * Fishing (Kieran Duffy) / The Iniquities of History
   * Advertising, the New American Art
   * The Fine Joys of Tobacco
   * Horse Flesh for Dinner
   * Preaching Forgiveness as He Went
   * Magicians for Sport / Money Lending and Other Sins, Part IV (Gwyn Hughes)
   * Sodom? Back to Gomorrah
   * Friends in Very Low Places
     * Coach Robbery (Bill Williamson) / Money Lending and Other Sins, Part IV (Winton Holmes) / A Fisher of Fish (Cutscene)
     * Coach Robbery (Sean MacGuire) / Arcadia for Amateurs, Part III / Aberdeen Pig Farm Robbery, Part II
   * Blessed Are the Peacemakers
   * A Short Walk in a Pretty Town
   * Blood Feuds, Ancient and Modern
   * The Battle of Shady Belle

Just realized that this one is pretty straightforward with no real need for much explanations. Anyway, on the third day when I do American Distillation, I headcanon that Arthur is actually on his way to the Gray's place to follow up on Dutch's orders from The New South but while passing through Rhodes he notices the gang's horses and goes to check it out, doing AD instead.

I do Billy Midnight after The Course of True Love, Part III because that mission takes us to the train station, so I like to think Arthur remembers reading Billy being sighted there often, so he goes to check.

I like to put Sodom between the 2 Trelawny missions because I like to give him more time to fully recuperate.

I split the Aberdeen robbery because I headcanon that Arthur goes there the first time to scope the place out , so he plays along, gets dumbfounded by them and then doesn't proceed with the robbery because he drinks once and gets quite sick. I have him not drink the second shot and leave. Come back latter to rob the place for good.

In Coach Robbery (Sean MacGuire) / Arcadia for Amateurs, Part III / Aberdeen Pig Farm Robbery, Part II, after the robbery with Sean ends, I have Arthur drive the wagon to sell it at Seamus, therefore giving Arthur a reason to get his 3rd encounter with Mason. I literally had no other place to put it, like I said before, I don't like just riding there because we (the player) know there's a mission there. So that's literally the excuse I found to make it work realistically.

Chapter 4: Shady Belle

   * The Joys of Civilization / The Artist's Way, Part I / Fundraiser
   * Angelo Bronte, a Man of Honor
   * Fatherhood and Other Dreams, Parts I & II / Help a Brother Out / The Mercies of Knowledge, Part I
   * No, No and Thrice, No / The Mercies of Knowledge, Part II / Go Rustling (Uncle)
     * The Mercies of Knowledge, Part III / The Artist's Way, Part II
     * Coach Robbery (Lenny Summers) / Money Lending and Other Sins, Part V (Algie Davison)
     * Hunting (Simon Pearson) / High and Low Finance (Rhodes Bank Robbery)
     * Arcadia for Amateurs, Part IV / Black Belle / The Mercies of Knowledge, Parts IV & V
   * The Gilded Cage
   * American Fathers, Part I / A Fine Night of Debauchery
     * The Noblest of Men, and a Woman, Part II (Valentine) / Oh Brother, Part I / Visit Sean's Grave / The Ties That Bind Us, Part I
     * The Noblest of Men, and a Woman, Part III (Saint Denis) / Idealism and Pragmatism for Beginners (Letter) / The Artist's Way, Part III / A Bright Bouncing Boy / Idealism and Pragmatism for Beginners, Part I
   * Coach Robbery (Micah Bell) / The Mercies of Knowledge, Part VI / Horsemen, Apocalypses
   * The Mercies of Knowledge, Part VII / Brothers and Sisters, One and All / Urban Pleasures
   * The Ties That Bind Us, Part II / American Fathers, Part II / Oh Brother, Part II
     * The Noblest of Men, and a Woman, Part IV / The Smell of the Grease Paint / Idealism and Pragmatism for Beginners, Part II
   * Country Pursuits
     * The Artist's Way, Part IV / The Smell of the Grease Paint (Saint Denis Show) / Idealism and Pragmatism for Beginners, Part III
   * Revenge Is a Dish Best Eaten
   * Banking, the Old American Art

So yeah, here we go. This is the chapter that is actually quite straightforward if you only take into account the main missions, but when you try to fit in the side ones it can become hellish to make it work. Main thing to do here is to try and fit in as much as you can before The Gilded Cage, the party at the Mayor's mansion where the gang gets their leads for future robberies. It makes sense because I like to believe that Arthur and the gang were doing some robberies here and there before they got their leads in Saint Denis. There's not much urgency so all of those fit well before the party.

I do The Artist's Way, Part I and Fundraiser on Day 1 because they're very quick and it serves to pass the time waiting for Dutch and John.

Read the letter from Mary and go there immediately fits Arthur. After that's done, I like to believe Arthur wandered reflectively around Saint Denis for a while, meeting Brother Dorkins and Andrew Bell for their respective side missions. Next day, after saving Tilly and being quite close to Rhodes, Arthur goes to the train station to ask Alden about the moonshine for Bell.

On the day I do Arcadia for Amateurs, Part IV / Black Belle / The Mercies of Knowledge, Part IV & V, I headcanon that Arthur is on his way to Black Belle's house, but comes across Mason on the way there. After that's done, Arthur comes back through Saint Denis and checks out on Bell.

Having very recently visited all the gunslingers, Arthur goes to Valentine to meet with Levin and Calloway but gets told they're in Saint Denis. Meet the brothers while in Valentine and then go back south. On the way, Arthur visits Sean's grave, finally having the opportunity to do so (Never liked visiting it after A Short Walk in a Pretty Town because it always seemed to me to be too soon, like Bill didn't even have time to bury him). Then on the way from Sean's grave to Shady Belle Arthur comes across the two fugitives and helps them out.

After Horsemen, Apocalypses Dutch tells us to meet him at Saint Denis for the trolley robbery. Going there the next day, I headcanon that Arthur gets there early so he decides to take the time by watching the execution by electric chair, and then meets Brother Dorkins and Sister Calderón. He encounters Edith Downes and has to flee the police. I like to believe this is the reason why Arthur's late when he meets Dutch.

On the way to do American Fathers, Part II, Arthur meets the 2 fugitives again.

Visit Kieran's grave anytime considering it's close to Shady Belle.

I really like to do the Mayor's missions so I always include them. I dislike that they have me take Arthur to Saint Denis after the trolley robbery but they mostly take place at night so whatever. I actually kill Jean Marc because I like to believe Arthur panicked when the Mayor told him that Jean Marc would also expose Arthur and the gang. I headcanon that this mission taking place late in the chapter, therefore being so close to the bank job prompted Arthur to kill him out of fear Jean Marc could potentially ruin everything when they were so close to pull off the bank job and finally leave. I like to believe it's Arthur's last dishonorable act.

On the day that I receive the first letter and do the first mission from the Mayor, you can also do the Duchesses and other Animals cutscene to pass the time.

Oh yeah, I also finish the The Noblest of Men, and a Woman in this chapter because I really don't think it fits in Chapter 6. It feels out of place there for me. I never visit a region ahead of time, this being the only exception. Not to mention that it's a quick visit, it's not like Arthur stays for days in that region. It even fits well because Arthur seems to be aware of Annesburg in Icarus and Friends.

Chapter 5: Guarma

   * Welcome to the New World
   * Savagery Unleashed
   * A Kind and Benevolent Despot
   * Hell Hath No Fury
   * Paradise Mercifully Departed
   * Dear Uncle Tacitus
   * Fleeting Joy
   * Visit Hosea and Lenny's Grave / A Fork in the Road
   * Icarus and Friends
   * That’s Murfree Country

  Reveal hidden contents

Pretty straightforward. Before going to Saint Denis for Sadie's mission, I visit Hosea and Lenny's grave. I'm pretty sure a lot of people explained already why it makes more sense to do A Fork in the Road/Icarus and Friends before That's Murfree Country so I will only mention that even the closing cutscene of a Fleeting Joy adds to that. It ends with Dutch who is clearly very tired going to rest, immediately followed up by Sadie telling Arthur to meet her in Saint Denis to find a way to save John.

Chapter 6: Beaver Hollow

   * Visiting Hours
   * Just a Social Call / The Widow of Willard’s Rest, Part I
   * A Rage Unleashed / The Wisdom of the Elders, Part I
   * Archeology for Beginners / The Veteran Part I
   * Honor, Amongst Thieves / All That Glitters (Treasure)
   * Of Men and Angels / Goodbye, Dear Friend
   * The Fine Art of Conversation
     * The Course of True Love, Part V / Arcadia for Amateurs, Part V / The Wisdom of the Elders, Part II
   * Favored Sons
   * The King’s Son
   * The Delights of Van Horn / The Widow of Willard’s Rest, Part II
   * The Bridge to Nowhere / The Veteran Part II
     * Money Lending and Other Sins, Parts VI & VII
     * Do Not Seek Absolution, Part I / The Veteran, Part III
     * The Wisdom of the Elders, Parts III, IV & V
   * Do Not Seek Absolution, Part II / Mrs. Sadie Adler, Widow, Parts I & II / The Ties That Bind Us, Part III / Oh Brother, Part III
   * The Widow of Willard’s Rest, Part III / My Last Boy
   * Our Best Selves
   * Red Dead Redemption

This one is also quite straightforward, I mostly took inspiration from jimmyoneshot so I don't have much to add here. There aren't many side missions here so we can fit them rather nicely anyway you want it. I actually have Arthur finish All That Glitters here because I headcanon that after finding out the two maps originally in Chapter 2 he got frustrated and assumed it was a scam. I assume he kept the maps, remembered that the third one was located somewhere close to Hamish's place, went there and found it. This also solves the "problem" of getting too much money from the gold bars so early in the game, so Arthur gets the 2 gold bars in Chapter 6 and keeps them for himself due to the situation with the gang, with me headcanoning that he plans to give them to John and Abigail.

I visit Marko Dragic when I visit Charlotte because it's close.

Epilogue — Part I: Pronghorn Ranch

   * The Wheel
   * Simple Pleasures
   * Fatherhood, for Beginners
   * Farming, for Beginners
   * Old Habits
   * Jim Milton Rides, Again?
   * Fatherhood, for Idiots

Epilogue — Part II: Beecher's Hope

   * Gainful Employment

     * Bounty Hunting (Joshua Brown)
   * Bare Knuckle Friendships
     * Bounty Hunting (Bart Cavanaugh) / The American Inferno, Burnt Out, Part I
   * Home Improvement for Beginners
   * An Honest Day’s Labors
   * The Tool Box
   * A New Jerusalem
     * The American Inferno, Burnt Out, Part II / Bounty Hunting (Elias Green)
   * A Quick Favor for an Old Friend
     * Bounty Hunting (Otis Skinner)
   * Uncle's Bad Day

   * A Really Big Bastard
     * The American Inferno, Burnt Out, Part III / Bounty Hunting (Herman Zizendorf)

   * Trying Again

     * Bounty Hunting (Mark Johnson) / Pearson

     * Bounty Hunting (Anthony Foreman) / Tilly Jackson
   * A New Future Imagined
     * The American Inferno, Burnt Out, Part IV
   * American Venom

Nothing to add here really, I just included quite a few bounties here and there because John has to pay his debts so I do it before American Venom. I do the two Skinner Brothers bounties shortly before Uncle's Bad Day in order to add some more justification for their actions. I finish the last part of The American Inferno, Burnt Out after finishing the story.

John's Pilgrimage (Paying Respects)

* Beecher's Hope
* Horseshoe Overlook Camp
* Sean's Grave / Clemens Point Camp
* Kieran's Grave / Shady Belle Camp
* Hosea and Lenny's Grave / Susan Grimshaw's Grave
* Rains Fall / Beaver Hollow Camp / Charlotte Balfour
* The Veteran, Part IV / Arthur Morgan's Grave / Eagle Flies' Grave
* Beecher's Hope

I apologize for the size of this post. It's a big game!

Sorry bro but even the game recognizes Fork in the Road/Icarus and Friends as chapter 6 missions. And Arthur also says he would talk to Dutch.

You searched for a one year old post just to say this? You're into some revenge mission huh? Remember it's a fool's game. 🙂

Here's my revised and pretty much final list for Chapter 2. I haven't included the stranger missions, secondary bounty missions etc to simplify it:-

  1. Polite Society, Valentine Style
  2. Americans at Rest
  3. Who is Not Without Sin
  4. The First Shall be The Last
  5. Money Lending and Other Sins I, II and III
  6. Exit Pursued By A Bruised Ego
  7. Spines of America
  8. Paying a Social Call
  9. Good Honest Snake Oil
  10. We Loved Once and True I, II and III
  11. A Quiet Time
  12. Blessed Are The Meek
  13. Pouring Forth Oil I, II and III
  14. A Fisher Of Men
  15. Pouring Forth Oil IV
  16. An American Pastoral Scene
  17. The Sheep and The Goats
  18. A Strange Kindness

Here are my reasons/justifications for this order:-

- You could do 'Who is Not Without Sin' first however I've noticed that during/when you complete this mission time fast forwards to and pauses at 5pm until you rescue Swanson from the train, even if you go there at 7am and skip the poker game. This means that by the time you drop off Swanson back at camp and get to Valentine it will be night and when you have the fight with Tommy in Valentine it is pretty clearly meant to be day because the saloon is nowhere near as buzzing as it is at night during 'A Quiet Time' and the street is packed with people going about their daily business during the fight with Tommy. You could sleep at camp after dropping off Swanson and go the next day but this means that the gang have been waiting in the saloon overnight which seems silly.

- Plus another thing I noticed is that during the fight in 'Who is Not Without Sin' there is no tutorial on how to fight the guy whereas there is in the fight during 'Americans At Rest' meaning that mission was likely meant to be the intro to fighting with 'Who is Not Without Sin' following it.

- This means that 'Polite Society, Valentine Style' should be done first as the dialogue seems to suggest that this is an intro to the nearby town of Valentine and buying stuff from stores etc

- It makes sense to do 'Americans At Rest' next as it is just around the corner when you finish the first mission

- At this point you likely won't have a horse so I usually walk to camp and sleep overnight. This means that you are leaving Javier and Charles waiting but when you finally get to them you will see they have a tent with some used beds in it meaning they have been there for a while anyway. Plus in some dialogue that you can choose to ask to Hosea if you do 'Exit Purused By A Bruised Ego' at this point Arthur says that they are "Scouting Blackwater" and that he should catch up with them soon meaning they could be left to camp there for a while no problem

- You could do 'Who is Not Without Sin' after 'The First Shall Be The Last' however the problem with this is that Swanson is AT SEAN'S PARTY which means he must've been brought back to camp before that mission. I have tried doing this mission on the way back from rescuing Sean but doing that causes Sean's party to simply not happen at all which is likely not canon. So I do that next before rescuing Sean the next day

- When you wake up the day after Sean's party if you hang around camp for a bit Dutch says to Arthur that he needs him to help out Strauss with his money lending which means this is likely meant to be next

- Another reason is that you need the money from this mission to be able to afford the American Standardbred horse in 'Exit Pursued by A Bruised'. You can buy the Morgan horse but Hosea basically laughs at you if you do and you'll notice that in the cutscene after you buy it the horse shrinks. It's like as though Arthur is meant to be sitting on one of the normal horses and then when the cutscene ends he shrinks down to a Morgan sized one. Hard to explain but if you try it you'll see what I mean. The cutscene is fine as long as you buy the standardbred at least

- Also during 'Spines of America' when at Emerald Ranch Hosea tells Arthur to lead the way and says that Arthur is the one who's been "gallivanting around here". He says this no matter what but the only time Arthur would've been to emerald ranch in a gang related story mission is during 'Money Lending and Other Sins' which means this must've been done before this mission and 'Exit Pursued by A Bruised' because that leads right into this mission

- It seems that 'Money Lending an Other Sins I, II and III' should all be done consecutively too because when Arthur gets back to camp after Part 2 Strauss approaches him and asks him how he got on and gives him the next part at which point Arthur walks away as if he's going to do it right now

- Originally I thought 'Paying a Social Call' should be done next but one thing I noticed is that when that mission starts Arthur's horse is hitched in the hitching spot where Hosea's big Shire horse normally is. The only reason this horse would no longer be there is if the mission 'Exit Pursued by A Bruised' was already done which seems to be what this suggests which is partly why I do that next

- Another reason is that after you do 'Paying A Social Call', this triggers Arthur getting the letter from Mary which he would likely address right away and during that mission ('We Loved Once and True') Mary says that Jamie is "somewhere near Carmody Dell" and Arthur knows where this is. The only time he would've been to Carmody Dell in the main story is during 'Spines of America' as that is where most of it takes place. So this suggests that Hosea's 2 missions should come before Paying A Social Call

- After doing 'Paying A Social Call' you head right back through Valentine to camp so this is a great time to explore the town and do 'Good Honest Snake Oil' because all of Arthur's main priorities have been done at this point

- By the time you get back to camp it you will have the letter from Mary so her mission gets done next

- Doing 'Blessed Are The Meek' straight after 'A Quiet Time' is obvious because Micah is about to be hanged plus Arthur seems to speak to Dutch every day, who is the person that starts this mission thread

- Pouring Forth Oil I, II and III next because some time needs to pass before 'An American Pastoral Scene' unlocks so they are the only mission/s available at this point

- A 'Fisher of Men' MUST be done BEFORE 'Pouring Forth Oil IV' because at the end of that mission Arthur talks about how the Pinkertons found him when he was fishing with Jack which wouldn't make sense if he hadn't done this yet

- 'The Sheep and The Goats' needs some time to unlock so it's best to do 'An American Pastoral Scene' next before it

- The rest is obvious

*NOTE - I always noticed that During 'Exit Pursued by a bruised ego' Arthur asks Hosea has he managed to offload the cornwall bonds yet. I originally thought this was meant to mean that this mission comes after 'A Quiet Time', at the start of which Arthur asks Dutch if they've sold the bonds and Dutch says "not yet. But Hosea's working on it" but the way Dutch says it is like as though Hosea is STILL working on it rather than this being the first time he lets Arthur know that Hosea is the one selling them. It is more likely that Arthur knows that Hosea would be the one handling the bonds to begin with as that's his area of expertise plus he's Dutch's right hand man so asks him about it. Plus it would also be a hell of a long time to leave Hosea sitting there in camp especially for a mission which acts as a basic hunting, camping and horse tutorial.

You are a hero. What's your chapter 3, 4 and 6 list?

Nah.

The game recognizes that "A Fork in the Road" until That's Murfree Country are chapter 6 missions. Not to mention that it makes all of Mrs Downes missions available, which makes no sense if you do "That's Murfree Country" afterwards.

For Chapter 6, I prefer to complete all the morality missions before Visiting Hours (assuming Sadie takes care of John's breakout plan during Arthur's peregrinations) because the ending dialogue with Mary-Beth implies that Arthur has to join Annesburg rather quickly - and it makes no sense to visit that town multiple times for redemption business while Dutch is around.

Here's my take on the "chronological" mission order for Chapter 6:

1/ Money Lending & Other Sins VI-VII (it's the sole mission directly available at camp, and at the end of this you kick Strauss out of the camp)

2/ Do Not Seek Absolution I (feeling guilty for what he had done, Arthur goes back to Annesburg in the hope to meet Edith Downes and make amends)

3/ The Course of True Love IV-V (you head back to camp, then read the letter send by Penelope and decide to help her and Beau escape both families)

4/ Do Not Seek Absolution II (Arthur takes the train to Annesburg and checks on the Downes)

5/ Visiting Hours (Sadie finished all the preparations for John's breakout, it's time to meet her at Copperhead Landing)

6/ Just a Social Call (Arthur knows that Dutch is in Annesburg and requests his presence, no reason to delay him)

7/ The Delights of Van Horn (Arthur follows Dutch's plan)

8/ The Bridge to Nowhere (Arthur follows Dutch's plan)

9/ A Rage Unleashed (there's nothing cooking elsewhere)

10/ Archeology for Beginners (Arthur gave his word to Charles)

11/ Honor, Among Thieves (Arthur gave his word to Monroe)

12/ The Fine Art of Conversation (logical end of the arc to prevent war between the Army and the Natives)

13/ Goodbye, Old Friend (since you can choose the day of the hanging of Colm O'Driscoll, I decide to meet Dutch and Sadie now)

14/ Mrs. Sadie Adler, Widow I-II (I hesitated for this one but I think it's the good spot to do it, just after Colm's hanging)

15/ Favored Sons (the beginning of the mission seems to suggest that Arthur is a last-minute addition to the party)

16/ The King's Son (Dutch asks Arthur to meet Charles at the reservation at the end of the previous mission)

17/ My Last Boy

18/ Our Best Selves

19/ Red Dead Redemption

Fork in the Road and Icarus and Friends must be done in chapter 6

Not a Fork in the Road until Icarus and Friends. They're chapter 6 missions.

I know what you mean pal but I always feel like Arthurs actual turning point is Fork In The Road and after this he starts helping people a bit more. Remember at the end of Murfree Country where the mother offers Arthur some money and he has the option to refuse it, I feel like that suits Arthur after he knows he is dying and wants to help people rather than take from them. There are several other missions where he can refuse money too which can only be done after he has TB. And he also helps the people for free in Wisdom of The Elders I think so I feel like that suits TB Arthur too. In most of the other stranger missions he always wants some sort of reward.

Yep you're right, it really seems like Javier has only just been captured rather than being there overnight. I also noticed that at the end of Savagery Unleashed the guy that Arthur rescues tells him that a boat is being lined up and to meet Hercule there and Arthur says "we'll be there" as if that is what's coming up next. Not to mention if you don't do Despot first Dutch will technically have been at the cave overnight, although I suppose you could 'headcanon' that he returned to camp overnight before going back to the cave.

Except in the game files, they recognize Fork in the Road as a chapter 6 quest.

Sadie Adler is seen at Beaver Hollow when Molly O'Shea meets her tragic end, so I'd say "A Fork In The Road / Icarus & Friends" are definitely before "That's Murfree Country". The dialogue between Arthur and Sadie in "Icarus & Friends" suggests that the events of Fleeting Joy were still fresh in their mind.

Then I postpone "Visiting Hours" until I finish all the business with Strauss/The Downes Family/Beau & Penelope.

Strange, Sadie being in Beaver Hollow is what makes me think Murphy Country takes place before Fork in The Road

What is the Most "Accurate" Mission Chronological Order, I Already Buy The Red Dead Redemption 2 but i not find in ANYWHERE the correct list, can somebody tell me?

Well, Rock Star makes it such a variable choice about when to do what that there really is no "most accurate" other than the very hard work several people in this very long thread have put in to make mission orders that are about as close as one could get. I hope it never goes away until I get the time to compile all this information in a document to be stored somewhere! I recommend scrolling back through a few pages and checking them out. I've so far found this thread to be the very best resource possible for compiling a mission order that makes the most sense in a timeline and to get the most out of the dialogue. But everyone has their own personal taste and so there is no absolute definitive mission order out there.

Oh Thanks, it's because i see some pages in this topic and I was very interested in the lists of @jimmyoneshot and @Psycho18, but I could only find the "complete" list (including strangers, bounties, missions of honor, etc) of @Psycho18, did @jimmyoneshot also post his "complete" list? , I would love to enjoy it both ways!

Go to page 198, the portuguese dude has a good one. Or just play the game normally, most of the ppl here are obsessed with finding the correct order that they havent actually finished the game in ages. Dont go down the rabbit hole.

Ok Man, Thanks, Sorry for the delay, school is almost killing me hahaha, but anyway, I have one last question, in the Portuguese list, yes, there were almost all the missions, however, in my view, there are 7 missions missing and I don't know where to fit in chronological order, can you help me?

The Missions Are:

*A Better World, A New Friend*

*A Fine Night For It*

*Geology for Beginners*

*To the Ends of the Earth*

*Duchessed and Other Animals*

and also missing both Micah and

Lenny's companion activities about the "Five Finger Fillet"

If he feels like doing it, he can share his list with the things he cares about and Luketa can insert the remaining things that he cares about by himself.

There will never be a perfect order, I know a lot of the people who have contributed to this topic have made their own order in the past, but its buried in the pages.  Heres mine, but if it doesnt appeal to you, you may have to scroll through the pages for one that does.

No mission should be done during A Fork in the Road and Icarus and Friends, doesn't make sense do Do Not Seek Absolution before Money Lending either.
