When you head to valentine for the first time you get an encounter with an o Driscoll saying you shouldn’t be wandering here. I believe it’s out of Arthur’s character to not kill them, however killing could bring unwanted attention to camp. What do you guys think is the realistic approach. Actually I could also just ignore them if that works

I think in the case of those first 2 O'Driscolls who say you "shouldn't be wandering around here" I usually just Antagonize them and then shoot them both. They are far enough away from camp and from Valentine to cause any suspicion anyway. After they threaten Arthur we only have the option to either 'Defuse' or 'Antagonize' and I definitely don't think Arthur would Defuse after being threatened by them as he hates O'Driscolls more than any other npcs in the game. And after you have Antagonized them they start shooting at Arthur anyway ha. I made a video of what I usually do here a while ago:-

Antagonize and then shoot both. I don't think Arthur would defuse anything with O'Driscolls. Then again I don't defuse anything in game, that's why by the time Chapter 2 ends, I've had about 10 or more fights in Valentine alone lol.

They can spawn in different locations actually. Anyway, at that point of the game Arthur really hates O'Driscolls so I always end up killing them all. He sort of gets entirely up with the feud after being kidnapped by them and nearly getting killed/arrested.

Hello mate. I can't remember what I said last time. Did I say I was going to do a no damage playthrough? If so I haven't had much time recently due to side jobs and other projects. A while back I made videos of all of the stranger missions as John and as sick Arthur:-

Yeah you said you were going to do like an ultimate play through series with perfect mission order etc. Are you able to paste your latest missions order? I’m doing a play through now and chapter 2 is so hard to get right lol

This is one of those no right or wrong options here. I always ask if it's a set up.

I always ask about the money. Pretty much any time the choice is between circle/B or square/X, the more canon answer is square/X. I am not aware of any situations where circle/B is more “canon seeming esque”

I prefer to ask if it was a trap.  I figure Arthur is still trying to piece together what happened in Blackwater, so it makes the most sense for me.

But that's just my head canon.  It can go either way, depending on what you want to emphasize.

Either way, Dutch tells Arthur the money is stashed in town.

Hey guys, has anybody here got a full list of exactly when and how companion activities are unlocked? I want to factor them into my order in a way that makes sense story wise but ideally need to know when they activate and if progressing any further with certain missions causes them to disappear entirely. On a side note, in Chapter 3 what triggers Abigail to approach and tell Arthur about the moonshine which leads into Advertising? Do you have to leave camp and come back for it to happen or if Arthur sleeps after ‘American Distillation’ but doesn’t leave camp will she still approach?

You need to do both American Distillation and The Course of True Love III in whatever order for Advertising An American Art to unlock.

If you stay in camp long enough without leaving after "Eastward Bound" you can trigger Lenny's Five Finger Fillet companion activity too.

Just don't leave the camp and try to trigger his events with Hosea and other characters, I believe that when he don't have any event left, that's when the activity will be triggered.

Tell us if you manage to trigger it, it happened on the most recent version, Version 1436.26/Patch 1.26. Despite a very small downgrade on the draw distance, I think this most recent version is the best one, Rockstar made it easier to trigger companion activities, item requests and camp events again, just like on Version 1.00.

I've just managed to trigger it. Sraight after Eastward Bound finished (start of Chapter 2) I slept until evening and it was there. I think it is the actual sleeping that triggers it otherwise it never seems to because previously I tried hanging around camp for hour and hours and it never appeared.

Ye to be honest I'm thinking it might actually be a glitch or at least be unintentional because the only way I was able to trigger it was by sleeping straight away until evening.

If you hang around camp for a while eventually Hosea and Lenny will sit at the table facing each other and won't move. If you sleep after this point then when you wake up Micah and Lenny are gone.

There is a scripted conversation between Hosea and Lenny at this table right at the start of the Chapter so I'm guessing Rockstar wanted this conversation to take place before Micah and Lenny leave so if you sleep after that conversation has taken place then they will leave otherwise if you sleep before that it can possibly cause Lenny's five finger fillet to appear when you wake up.

They likely didn't account for players to go straight to sleep straight after Arthur gets up from his bed at the start of the chapter ha.

Wow, then I guess this method isn't getting on the chronological order then lol, but it's still a brand new discovery nonetheless, it's also good that you figured out how to trigger it, I had no "exact" idea myself, it happened by mistake.

85% consistent on this, reload too many times then the chance would be broken. This works on a lot playthroughs of chapter 2.

For me, Pearson's rabbit request happens when I return to camp with Hosea after Exit. Return to camp around 9am.

Save/reload trick, because Susan,Swanson, and Keiran will be talking to Arthur.

Between 10:30-11:30am stand near the poker table watch Pearson. Once Pearson stops cutting food and drinks, hurry up talk to him. It is a very small window.

Another thing I seem to remember is that it needs to be either before Social Call is unlocked (so before Americans At Rest has been done) or after because apparently Social Call being active overrides the encounter and stops it from happening because it overlaps with the area that Kieran is in or something like that.

Yeah, I always do Social Call before Exit.

Another thing, I forgot to mention that this request doesn't work after 12:30pm. I got it to work at 12pm.
