hello flapper and nonflapper friends of this crunchy forums hihihi

 

so, i have a question on the menu for tonight:

 

there are many construction sites on the map:

 

 

 

and more

 

also, there are buildings we can't enter and do nothing like:

 

 

 

 

and more (hospitals, police stations etc)

 

so, los santos government asks you to renovate or build up something!!! but you can only finish one job!!

on the construction sites you can build up something of your own idea!! or you can renovate an already existing building and bring life to it. what would you choose? would you renovate? would you build up? 

 

 

i'm torn between bringing the airport to life, like opening the interior and put in shopping malls and restaurants, also bring the big crunchy plane back.... also i'd like to see the burger shots working including drive through (that would be a funny animation when in first person hihihi). i don't have to desire to create a building on my own although a swimming bath would be quite flippy! 

in the end i think i'd go with the airport and be eating yummy burgers there hihihi and i would be hoping, that someone else renovate the burger shots around the city!!

I'll finish the construction site north of Maze Tower & turn it into a high-end residential tower ... 

 

Something that'd put Eclipse into shame. I'm talking about an accessable shopping mall (think Vice City), swimming pools, duplex apartments, penthouses, personal assistants, personal garages with a mod shop & a Helipad to deliver our Pegasus helicopters & personal vehicles.

I'll grab that construction site in Blaine County, and it will turn out to be the HQ and construction facility of San Andreas' yet biggest developer and construction company.

 

Once set, we can then go on finishing ALL those projects scattered about, and some new ones, like a wildlife reservation centre (to get those woods and wildlife back), decent maritime platforms, and all the other stuff frequently discussed here.

I'll build an artificial island west of North Chumash, think Dubai's Palm Islands.

 

A marina, villas, mansions, garages, parks, private beaches, a private airstrip & an aquarium.

 

To avoid a repeat of early days Eclipse Towers, Passive mode is enabled automatically when you get on the island.

The shopping mall really should have an interior, even if it's only shops we already have and non-interactive/inaccessible storefronts such as the burger joints. Would be a great place for shootouts and causing vehicular chaos. Imagine all the levels and stairs/escalators you could run around on. Such a waste of space and potential.

Absolutely, I would take the Redwood Lights Track and completely finish all the surrounding infrastructure. Make it into a place with specialist bodywork shops and racing outfits. Maybe a little drag strip, NPC races which you could bet on and watch, and best of all... a safe area where people could meet and showcase their cars after tune-ups, resprays, etc., all connected to repairs, upgrades and tuning.

I would definitely renovate the casino and bring it to life. To me, that's the most glaring need in the game when it comes to building access.

ARAB money! I'm all in... so bring up that casino too. 

 

Honestly, the only thing I'm not thrilled about is the airport. Without actual ability to go somewhere it's no better with interiors than without them. Any of these places could have been animated and it will be nice to have. Dirt track is a hommage to the Vice city, will be both useful for bikes and cars. With all the rammers in the racing, Bloodring is the answer. We need the dirt track for the dirt races. What Ice is offering falls under a small map extension category and that's an instant pass in my book too. Damn, we need some new mechanics, new space to breath.

With the limited amount of "mansions" in the game & the growing repeated requests for them, I figured the best way to tackle that dilemma is artificial islands.

 

 

 

 

(The first 2 photos are in Dubai, the others are in Miami)

 

A bunch of islands, roughly the same size as Vice City's Starfish Island connected to the main land via 2-lane bridges.

 

They can even build them as props similar to the bunker & facility if they like.

 

Given map's design, they'll be in the West coast thanks to Palomino highlands, Chainsky mountain range & mount Gordo ... way too many mountains in the game.

Renovating a building doesn't stretch it. I'd stick a whole lot of dynamite into Mt. Chilliad and use the rubble to expand the island on the north side and fill up the useless Alomo Sea with, put a decent road racetrack on it with seats, pitlanes and all. Wherever Chilliad was, a new city area will be built, to make good use of the land. Vegas style!

On topic: I would finish the Mile High Club and turn it into the most expensive Office available in the game.

 

Also, slightly bending the rules of the post, I would also turn Richards Majestic building into an Office too, I mean, that thing has an helipad already!

A selection of small, fast karts would be a superb addition to the game anyway, whether for racing or just general use.

@alkaline_ you forgot to add that cul-de-sac in Mirror Park with some unfinished houses in your list, according to the GTA Wikia it's called Utopia Gardens:

@IceDree Limited number of mansions? Vinewood's full of them.

 

The problem with adding stuff to the map is that Rockstar sucks at it. Look at the bunkers harhazardly put in places they make no sense to be in.

 

Instead of finishing construction sites and adding new buildings, the focus should be on more interiors or new landmasses. This is something that should've been in practice from the start. Los Santos has so much wasted potential and has never felt finished or alive to me.
