High Plains Drifter
I've just got this game and only played the first couple of missions...quick question, how and at what point can you go off on your own to explore etc? At the moment everything seems to involve the gang or members of the gang...which is a bit disappointing as I recently completed Far Cry 5 and enjoyed the ability to just go where ever I liked and explore, hunt and basically be on my own. Many thanks in advance!
roe
As soon as Chapter 2 starts, you're pretty much free to do whatever although there are a few important game mechanics tied to some early missions (getting new horses, fishing, etc). Chapter 1 takes about 2 to 3 hours to get through. My advice would be to just try and enjoy the story early on and not think about it being an open world game yet. Ah...I see, I did wonder if these early game plays were about training you with how the game works etc before it opening up. Many thanks for clarifying! Satanta
Altho I was in Chpt3 I missed some stuff [[Hearing issues not game issues but I resolved that ]] I started over last night-it is amazing what you miss if you do not hear things properly, so one piece of advice, read Arthurs Journal. I read it this time as soon as I got control in Chpt1-it fills in some backstory, the rest you learn as you play but it does help you understand where your place in the story is and some of the other characters. High Plains Drifter-don't forget to paint the town Red. roe and High Plains Drifter
