Motion blur is horrid. it's AWFUL

Every time I turn the camera I want to throw up a little because the blur is just god awful. who's idea was this? Why are console games always ruined with horrible maxed out motion blur? Who thinks this looks good? Gotta take Gravol and tylenol just to play this game, seriously, turn it down or give us the option.

Haven't really noticed it. It does kind of look bad when you look up at the starry night sky though.  Makes the stars look bigger than they are.

I think I kinda get what your complaining about, but it's nowhere near as bad as you make it sound.

its the perspective blur from over shoulder to normal running or whatever that does it. I think mainly people that are not playing in 4k are noticing it more. I do agree we should have the option to mess about with the blurs for sure.

Pretty much every game on console has motion blur, especially those that run at 30fps. Helps mask stuttering and frame drops, among other things.

 

To people used to playing at 60fps+ with motion blur turned to zero it can be very noticeable, but like others have said RDR2 doesn't have a bad case of it really.

On BF1 I tried that had nice smooth motion. But on this huge game with amazing graphics it only looks more smooth when I change my tv settings to smooth motion but then there is a big delay and you notice the frame rate drops so it's for the best to just be like this.

This is totally screen dependant I think. I've just switched from our 46" Samsung LCD (from 2011-ish) and hadn't noticed it, to playing on a 55" Plasma (VT65) - it's CRAZY bad on the plasma. So bad I plugged it back into the LCD to see if it did it there, and none at all.

 

It's like playing the drunk scenes from earlier games, all jarring and double vision. Gross. Oddly, no other games do it - you can spin the view around in Forza Horizon 4 and not see any of it,  but RDR2 is really gross. 

 

Still, a gorgeous game when you're still..

I´ve always missed this kind of blur in GTAV. It makes everything look much more authentic IMO. Turns a simple gallop into a dramatic ride. Maybe its just me tho.

 

Also this could be a particular issue OP is experiencing, something related to plasma screens like @AlexB mentions above. I dont have any kind of issues in my LED tv.
