theEwing1979
The main reason I purchased the extra content was for the extra mission. I won't spoil too much for those of you that haven't done it yet.... But f*ck me, I was hoping for a bit more depth. It was laughably simple. saintsrow

TheSantader25
I'm actually happy. Special editions are for fools. And R* and every dev damn well know that. I'm happy that like ALWAYS I bought the game for the standard price. But it's not the devs fault IMO. If there's a market like this I would take advantage as well. The thing is people should use their minds before buying. Edited November 8, 2018 by TheSantader25 saintsrow and bish0p2004
iddqdvie
i even bought the ultimate edition. i didnt do that for the mission but for the horses! and i must say, just for the horses, it was worth it! you can always get it back for free if it dies and both horses are big! the mission is a joke and all they did was taking a mission away from the full game and make it an extra content. store discounts and some extra items are no reason for me to buy it. but when i see other aaa games for 60 bucks that offer maybe 20% of what rockstar‘s games offer, i‘ll gladly pay that extra money. i would send EA/Ubi/etc. a video of me not buying there sh*tty games, but gladly stuffing rockstar some money up there ass! Fatsanchez
So, I got the Ultimate edition and really dont regret it at all, but I can’t really recommend it to others because of cost-benefit. The regular edition is already huge on its own. I decided to get it because simply there is no company like Rockstar IMO (maybe cd projekt red). In a world full of EAs, Ubisofts and Konamis, its my little personal “protest”. So I guess yes, I would still get it now. Even if the game didnt 100% live up to my expectations. Maybe 80%. Anyway, what exactly is the extra mission? I heard it was the Del Lobo hideout (which I havent reached yet), is that it? If so, what happens to folk with the regular version? Do they got a empty fort in their game? Edited November 8, 2018 by Fatsanchez Spoiler tags just in case Lonely-Martin
Lonely-Martin
I was cautious buying the ultimate edition. Not so much the bonus content was sought, I wanted the tin case. I was worried more that story mode wouldn't be fully fledged out, but that was clearly not the case. The game is more than I imagined, so I'm pleased as punch. (With respect as £90 is a lot for many. But in the previous 5 years, I'd not spent that on all my PS4 games, lol. So I don't mind a splurge. I get that it's not worth £40 for a couple of missions though). But Yeah, looking back. I'm happy as can be, that tin is nice. 3 hours ago, Orfan Loom said: For Take-Two's* marketing scam. Pretty Ironic considering the name - Take Two. Yeah, I don't buy that crap. R* and T2 are in it together now. Makes too much money, and most developers are up to all sorts too, so these guys are. Gamers let 'em. Look, I did. CrimsonFolo
What mission was it anyway? I didn't notice any form of special mission and i wished i never bought the special edition now lol.

I had the standard edition and the fort was full of Del Lobos. Killed them all but wasn't officially a gang hideout Edited November 8, 2018 by TheSantader25 Fatsanchez
Mach1bud
In my opinion, this game is well worth the $100 I paid for it without any extras. So yeah, I'd pay it again in a heartbeat. Dr.Rosenthal
Same, I paid full price for the SE, but I don’t feel bad about it. For having made a game this f*cking good, I’ll gladly throw money at R*. Lonely-Martin
LittleJesus
Sometimes I regret the $2,500 pesos I paid for, but then I look again at the world map and everything is worth to me again I just can't imagine the standard map hanging in my wall gotta say it was like a "downgrade" from previous maps'. Johan
I mean I enjoyed the mission quite frankly, obviously not worth the amount I paid for but I'm not going to complain about it, 100 dollars and so far I'm 0.3% away from 100% completion with over 100 hours of gameplay. I got my money's worth with that alone. Plus the bonuses gave me perks for online which I'm sure will keep me even more occupied. Smokewood
I bought the ultimate edition because I know I will be spending hours upon hours online and I fully expect single player DLC as well. I have no issues spending $100 on this kind of quality. I loved GTA V and still play GTAO. Lonely-Martin
yeezy203
I waited a few days after launch and got an opened SE with unused code for $50 shipped on ebay. Not a bad deal for me. Lonely-Martin

No complaints there.
RayD70
Bought the Ultimate Edition as soon as it was offered and do not regret it. A game of this quality that will keep me engaged for years is worth it to me. The horses are fantastic, and I'm sure it helped me a ton early on having them (I still haven't changed my main Thoroughbred, and probably won't). Getting a couple guns free and early helped too. Not to mention, there's bonuses for online. I'm sure they're not a huge advantage, but for a guy like me, every little bit helps. The mission felt more like a camp activity and really wasn't that great. But if it was, everyone who didn't get it would probably be livid.
