Krayzied Posted April 7, 2003 Share Posted April 7, 2003 ONLY if you're like me and haven't played GTA 3 since you bought Vice City...or you haven't played GTA 3 in quite a long while. Play it again. I couldn't believe it. I can't believe how bad-ass this game is. It was so different, the way he shoots, the way the camera moves, the way he runs, the flamethrower, THE AK!!, litte bad-ass details that are lacking in VICE (such as the streetlight crosswalk signal, WALK...DON'T WALK) hell yea! The music tripped me out, I forgot about all the hills and the landscape is waaaaaaaaay better than VICE if you ask me. JAH radio almost made me cry as I jacked a Yardie Lobo and headed to Portland and tripped out on the above-ground train and subway. Don't even get me started on ramping up the sides of hills on Shoreside Vale with the jump and slowmotion codes...sheeez. I know there's a forum for this but yeaaaaa. Oh yea and remeber when Vice was supposed to be twice the size of Liberty...yea. I can haul more ass in Staunton Island than I can anywhere in Vice except maybe the airport. I mean, play some GTA3, and you'll notice just how great the graphics of Vice are, like the reflection on the cars and detail of textures and pedestrians, water etc. And also the plentifulness of the vehicles, especially the boats. I think the only problem with Vice was that the City wasn't as versatile as Liberty City, and they should've made the Islands more round shaped instead of just long and narrow. I loved the game before- and I still do, but its gotten to boring that I just cant do anything with it anymore... I did start playing III, and it felt like heaven again- like the first time I played it over a year ago... I guess the main big thing that did that may have messed it up was adding the entire pink thing- which I liked but...- and a major thing is that they made the games camera angles HORRIBLE- I mean, it could not have gone anymore worse*... GTAIII had a best camera angles- but did anyone notice how far the first camera angle is from the car? It felt horrible- as for the Camera angle on foot- you either cant stand it, or love it.... As for the entire realism, I liked the realism- but I also think they should have stayed with the fun factor more- riding a bike could make you pull your hair out- and the helicopters were good... but for what? And for Mr. Vercetti, dont let me get started- but I really enjoyed playing it... until all the annoying glitches came- and thats when the guy from Liberty had to come back- over all, I think GTA III has such a great play to it because everything is so crisp- every punch, every action- and he LOOKED and MOVED like a thug- ever tried walking with the shotgun TOWARDS the screen?- and the city was just perfect- not a hazard for you to run 100 and fall into the water somehow- and I think that they took the entire "80s" theme too far.... just what I think, so no burns please... And whoever I hit, or hit me.... would ... But as for the cars. I would drive VC cars for a while... then put in 3 and drive those cars... I mean I think 3 cars drive better than VC... Vice is in no way bigger than Liberty City, the airport and beach put together could make 2 seperate islands, there's no need for something that big in there. Especially because the beach has a whole lot of....nothing...on it, and the airport has nothing there you can grab and fly away with, so that's pointless too. Plus there aren't as much plotholes/mysteries in Vice as in Liberty, like the contreversal Darkel that was going around for awhile, and all those topics about what happened to Donald Love? And all that sh*t. The landscape in 3 was ten times better. (More hills, underground tunnels, bigger streets, more land to explore) And the cars in 3 are bad ass, I know Vice is in the 80s, but I don't drive anything but a chopper or a PJC, I don't think I've ever drove a car in that game since I bought it! Vice is no setting for crime, it's so f*ckin bright and peaceful, while 3 had the perfect setting, dark, damp, pollution, and people who jack your car. I have had no one take my car in Vice yet. All the gangs hate you in GTAIII, which makes it more fun because if they blow you up or shoot you, you have a good reason for a plan of attack on them, it's fun to get payback.
